I asked nicely since it said it can be done same day, would I be able to pick up the next day around lunch, which the lady I talked to said yes. I came in the next day around lunch and told me she forgot to mark it urgent and to come back at 5:30, which I couldn't do. I come back Tuesday when I had a break and when I picked it up, these holes are there and they weren't there before. Don't go here!! Title: Deeply Disappointed After 10 Wonderful Years I had been a loyal customer here for more than ten years, ever since Emily, the former owner, always greeted me with her warm smile and delivered flawless cleaning work. She never once made a mistake -- her professionalism and kindness made every visit a pleasure. However, when I came back in early August to clean one shirt and three hats, I was met with a completely different experience. Emily was gone -- she had sold the business and retired. The new staff were cold and unhelpful. When I picked up my items two weeks later, I found two hats badly wrinkled beyond repair, and another one with a deep crease I had never seen before. These hats had sentimental value to me, as I purchased them after finishing the Big Bear Marathon. Naturally, I was very upset. I went back to complain, but was told by a woman that she wasn't the owner and that the "owner would call me." Two weeks passed -- no call. When I finally called myself, a man (who seemed to be the owner) told me I was rude and that he didn't see any problem with the hats. I waited again, but never received any follow-up. In the end, I went back today, picked up my hats, and decided not to return. What truly disappointed me wasn't just the damage, but their attitude -- no apology, no responsibility, and even dishonesty about who the owner was. Customer service here is almost nonexistent! Especially if you are Caucasian. There happens to be a rude and racist Latina that that works at the front in the customer reception area. She can hardly say "Hello" white customers and when accepting your dry cleaning order, she'll push out the pickup time. So you drop off your items in the morning and aren't able to pick them until 4 days later. I've never had any issue with the quality of the dry cleaning service, other than the interaction with this woman. read more

Been here a couple times for my husbands dress shirts/suit for dry cleaning and they always loose it or don't have it ready in the timeframe they say it would be. The first time we went to go pick it up, they said they couldn't find his pants, then the next day they called saying they found it. As an apology, we didn't have to pay anything for their dry cleaning services. We gave them another chance, and the second time we went; they only had the jacket ready and not the dress pants. The dresses were clean and hung on metal hangers that were covered by a foam pad. This is good because it holds up my dress and it also doesn't damage the straps. The only thing I didn't like was that they used just enough plastic to cover the length whereas some other dry cleaners would actually have extra plastic tied at the bottom to keep the clothes extra clean. The prices are not bad for Irvine and it is close enough to work for me to drop off and pick up during my lunch hour. I would consider coming back for future dry cleaning needs. read more

DO NOT USE THIS DRY CLEANER! We have used them for over 20 years. However, I no longer will. If I could give this review a zero, I would. I came to pick up a pair of pants on Monday morning that were being dry cleaned and a button hole repaired, due on Saturday. Pants not here on Monday morning. Previously West Park Dry cleaners would do alterations on site. However, they apparently send off site now, which I was not told when I dropped off. I requested to pick up pants myself at the alterations location, but the clerk, Evelyn, would not tell me where the alterations were being done and said they would be back some time today, maybe after 5 pm, maybe after 12 noon. I requested to contact the owner multiple times so I could get my item. Evelyn refused. When I could not get my item, confirmation on where my item was located or speak to the owner I called the police called to assist. Once police were called Evelyn finally contacted the owner. Police arrived and tried to locate the pants. She would not give police the address where they were sent for alterations either. Hmmm, who is doing their alterations and where??? Finally, the owner said he would pick up the item and bring it to the dry cleaner location. Over an hour later, I received my item, repairs were not completed. I was not charged and will NOT be coming back here. read more

Haste makes waste... My usual dry cleaners is further away and I wanted these two items that I had just purchased cleaned quickly so I could wear them sooner. I rarely used this dry cleaners. Previously: When I had used them in the past, they had laundered a couple of items and did a good job, but when I picked one of the items up and politely asked an employee if they could hang the item differently, the woman responded in a very rude tone as though I was inconveniencing her. Most recent experience: This time I dropped of two items - a 100% cotton JJill sweater and a cotton and cashmere Ellen Tracy knit tank top (a dry clean only item). They were not dirty and did not smell at all. I just have a habit of cleaning items that I purchase before I wear them. When I went to pick them up, they smelled of strong dirty dry cleaning chemicals, so I left them there and talked with the manager the next day. She said she would redo them and call me on a specific day when they were ready. I hadn't heard anything, so I called and was told they were ready. When I went to pick them up this second time, I mentioned that I could still smell the chemicals although it was a little milder. She, the same woman that I had spoken with last time, didn't seem to be concerned. I also noticed that the tank top was stretched out now; it is not in it's original shape. I haven't even worn them even once. After these experiences, I took my two items and went to a different cleaners where I'm having the sweater laundered. I plan to take the tank to top to my regular cleaners to see if they can remove the chemical smell and reshape it at all (sometimes with some fabrics they can). Praying they can... I paid to buy these two items. I paid to have them dry cleaned. Now I'm having to pay to have them cleaned again elsewhere. One of the items might not ever be the same as it was when I bought it. They do not properly cleaned out their dry cleaning chemicals, so the dirty solution leaves your clothes with a terrible odor. I would not even give them one star, but I think you have to select at least one to post. I will not use this cleaners again. I recommend everyone select a different cleaners. Do not use this one. Update: In retrospect, they do deserve the 1 star as they did do a decent job with a couple of items that I had them launder. So, they seem safe to use for laundering, but not dry cleaning. read more

I had a vintage fabric jewelry box cleaned and when I returned to claim it, I was handed a stapled shopping bag with my item inside. Fortunately, I examined the box while walking to my car and sadly discovered that the ribbon attached to the inside that holds the top open was cut and there was obvious damage to a rear folded edge which resulted in an incomplete and skewed closure of the lid. I returned to the store immediately and presented the damaged item to ask for an explanation and express my dismay at the discourtesy and dishonesty of withholding the news of the damage that occurred while it was in the possession of this dry cleaning establishment. The clerk who initially processed my order even commented on the excellent condition of the jewelry box when I brought it in 2 weeks prior. The response I received to my inquiry about the damage was that the establishment would glue the damaged side and then inquired about the age of the box to justify the damage, which is an impertinent and unjustifiable reason for the damage caused during their cleaning of my item. No accountability, apology, offer of a refund, or assurance of a timeline for the repair were offered...a lousy, dishonest, uncaring, and ungracious customer service approach on their end and a disappointing, frustrating experience for me, which is a true shame, because the cleaning job was done beautifully. read more

This place is NOT $ more like $$$. I took in two dresses in which I was quoted for $25. It also says dresses are $12.50. So, it made sense for my total payment be $25.... However when I came to pick up my dresses, my bill was $50!!!! I would not have agreed to this price when I dropped off my dresses. This far too over priced!! I paid the $25 I was originally quoted for, but I was only able to take home one dress. I am waiting on a phone call from the manager so I can get my other dress. Update: I was given my second dress back with no additional charge. However on the phone I was given multiple irrational excuses as to why I was only quoted for one dress "because one dress was inside the other dress" (not true) "because both dresses were on one hanger and that's why I was only originally quoted $25 for one dress...." These excuses make no sense because the employee clearly handled and tagged both dresses. With this logic, I can go to a store and put multiple dresses on one hanger and only pay the price of one dress... Either way, this store has bad business practices (an apology would have sufficed instead of illogical excuses) and false advertising ( should not be advertised as one $). Overall, horrible experience and I will not recommend or return here again. read more

I chose West Park Cleaners because they offered a 50% off coupon on the ValPak website. You know ValPak, right? They send you junk mail all the time with coupons for restaurants, carpet cleanings and limousine pickup. But ValPak comes in handy right when you need it! I love ValPak! The website is good too. You can show the coupons directly from your phone and the businesses will usually take them. ValPak has saved me a buncha money! Wait a minute, is this a review for West Park Cleaners or for ValPak??? Anyway, I took my faux leopard coat to them, showed them my coupon and a few days later, my coat was looking as clean as ever and felt as soft as ever! Good stuff! If the shop had called me and let me know before or when I picked it up, I'd have just forgiven and moved on. I've been there several times for dry cleaning and they did a decent job each time. The discounts they give from the Entertainment Book was the only reason I kept going back. But why 2 stars? Something has to be said about service. One day I decided to bring them 2 pairs of pants to alter along with my normal dry cleaning. I was the second person in line when the doors opened at 7am. They told me the alterations guy wouldn't be in until 7:30am to take my measurements. I said-it's fine I'll walk around Albertson's next door and come back. I walked in at 7:34am. I asked if the guy had come in yet and the lady says "oh yea, he's here but he went on a walk he won't be back for another 20-minutes." Who leaves for a walk 4 minutes after you clock in. And why didn't she tell him, hey someone is coming back with 2 pairs of pants...I parked RIGHT infront of their store. I didn't move my car, she knew I was coming back. No apologies, nothing. A few weeks ago I came in just after they opened and needed something same day, I was told I missed the cutoff for the day (15 min after they opened) I thought that was weird, but whatever I got it back the next day. Today I came in just after opening and asked to have something back tomorrow, I was told (it's Saturday morning right now) that they could only get it back Wednesday. I understand that Monday is a holiday but I was asking for the next day, and this was just laundry, not dry cleaning. The person at the front was nice enough and looked like she felt bad about it. I was told the owner is. Is sharing ownership and that is causing issues. This combined with some terrible repair work my wife recently experienced shows how the quality of the business has declined. I've gone to this cleaners for years off and on without any problems since my recent experience. The recent experience of crappy service has me thinking to never go back again. The cashier was rude and racist! Someone came in who was middle eastern cut in front of me or tried to and this cashier was going to accept that after I was waiting patiently for 10 minutes to be serviced on and refusing to properly greet and take care of my pickup. I said something (that I was first to wait) and customer was rude, throwing rude insulting comments because I stood up to him where I was not going to tolerate him cutting in front of me and speaking to me as such. The cashier could have avoided it in the first place but didn't! My advice is to save yourself the agony of going here because you will get unsatisfactory and less than quality as I got! I often don't give bad reviews unless it's extremely bad and in this case it was! So to those who wish to send me negative feedback and harass me with your piggish comments which I've received privately because of this review...save it! Obviously I've triggered you!!!! So instead of dumping your crap out on me go deal with yourself and your less than acceptable harassments! If you ever had someone cut in front of you and making rude comments, you be pissed off too so don't be a hypocrite! I had the absolute worst experience here... We brought in 12 items to be cleaned and only 2 of them were correctly cleaned the first time around. Men's shirts were not cleaned thoroughly. They had to re wash all but two shirts. These were picked up the following week. Another blouse they completely forgot to clean, so that also had to be picked up the following week. The real nightmare was with a jacket and blouse. When we came to pick up, they put the two items on the hanger. While we were paying, the lady next to us accidentally took the two items thinking they were part of hers. Understandable mistake. The ladies behind the counter promised to call that customer and get the clothes back. A week later we called to find out if they'd gotten it back yet. Nope. We go in to pick up stuff they had redone and ask about my clothes again. Instead of taking responsibility for the clothes missing still, they turn around and blame us for my clothes missing. WHAT? So you're telling me... I came here to get my clothes cleaned and they're taken by another customer but it's all my fault. But they will "go out of their way" to get my clothes back. -___-" Never coming back. Worst customer service ever. Thankfully they did find my clothes and I got it back ~3 weeks later. Very convenient location for me. Ask for receipts with the charges on it, otherwise they just give you tickets with only the number of garments. I would like to know when prices are being increased on me, so seeing the charges BEFORE I pay is a must. Also, if they damage a shirt, beware to be asked for a receipt to get reimbursed. A receipt? Do you keep receipts for every piece of clothing you purchased? I don't. I was able to get a credit on future cleaning, but it was strange to be asked for a receipt and it took way too long to actually get the credit. You'd think I was applying for a mortgage... Finally, don't just bring one shirt to be cleaned. I took one shirt to be laundered and they charged me more for just doing one item. Really? It was only 50 cents more, but that is obviously not the point. They refer you to a piece of paper on the side counter that lists their charges. Their hours are convenient and their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work and service they provide.
