While visiting the Fort Worth area I was looking for a great place for breakfast. Very delicious & good size potions. Great customer service. Cozy restaurant.

    Amazing cornbread!

This is such a cute little spot!!! I am so happy I stopped in here on my way through Dallas. To start you walk in and are greeted by a very nice lady and older man. They immediately sat me and asked me what I wanted to drink. Then my very friendly waitress Luisa came and gave me the full run down on the menu. I decided to do the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and the broccoli and rice casserole. My favorite thing was the broccoli and rice casserole. It was so yummy and the corn bread was incredibly moist!! Everything was a 5/5. The service. The food. The ambiance. I will 100% be back if I come through the area and would highly recommend it!

Westside Cafe is amazing! They have never compromised on old-fashioned value and service. Their food is always cooked to order and absolutely delicious! The staff are always on top of their game in making sure each table feels special, regardless of how busy the restaurant is. The ambiance is of a diner from years gone by...a pocket of time from the good old days. Yesterday I dropped off two military pictures of family to be hung on their wall of honor. In wanting to make full use of the trip out there, I stayed for a late breakfast. The three buttermilk pancakes were huge! The syrup bottles are kept warm and made a great addition to the butter already applied. The biscuits and gravy were a nice way to complete the meal. Wow! I waddled out to the car after finishing all my food. Alicia, my server, was a joy to have take care of me. Please support Westside Cafe!

Perfection. Everything you could possibly want from a diner. Packed booths, smiling staff, fresh breakfast food, great lunches, extensive menu, fresh drinks, and a buzzing atmosphere. A Fort Worth gem, so worth the visit. You'll leave smiling

Bring your grandma and go have some home cooked food. Make sure you try this long time staple of the west side of Fort Worth. It was bought by a company after some struggles the previous owner had but they kept up the decor, which makes the place what it is. No lie, his place is like coming home. The memories here warms my heart. I think my favorite is the grilled pork chops or the liver and onions. Back when I could eat bread I'd get the club sandwich. The ranch is homemade. Don't forget to try the desserts. The wait staff will keep up with all you need and have all the answers. There is always someone around and I'm pretty sure they all help one another. LOVE HIS PLACE.

I wish I had more stars to give!!! There's a reason there's a wait on a Sunday morning--but don't be deterred!!! The friendly staff will greet you and get you on the list. This place runs so efficiently, the wait won't be long! Once you are seated you will be treated to outstanding service and exceptional food! Fast, friendly, delicious! Pancakes are sooo good and served with warm syrup, biscuits are flaky and tender, loaded omelettes are fresh and hot!! We need more stars!!!! Don't sleep on this institution, doing it right!!! Oh -- GET THE HASHBROWN CASSEROLE!!!

    Lots of food. Lol.

Been a long time since I've been here. I was shocked when I walked in and saw the renovation that was done inside. I had mixed feelings walking in. Was kind of sad to see that the original inside had been updated to today's current country style but the decor was done tastefully. There were a lot of pictures taken off all the walls and you could still see the screws were they had not put them back but there are still a lot of old photos. Now onto the food. To start I wanted to try the new sampler they had on the menu. For 12 dollars, I don't feel like I paid for the cost. It came with 2 mozzarella sticks, 2 tater keg bites, 4 small onion rings, and 2 mac and cheese balls. The mozzarella sticks were the best on the sampler. Wish I had just had an order of those honestly. For my entree, I got breakfest #3. That consisted of 3 eggs i got scrambled, 4 slices of bacon, and pancakes. Oh was I in the mood for some good pancakes and they were delicious. I also ordered a side of sourdough toast and biscuits with gravy. I was kind of disappointed with the biscuits and gravy. Was a tiny biscuit and thought it would have been home made but could totally tell it was a Pillsbury biscuit. Not sure if they ran out and had that as a back up but the biscuit was dry and thin. The rest of my breakfest good was delightful. Service was also really friendly and she stayed on top of the drinks. I knkw I'll be back to get there breakfast again.

Stopped in here for breakfast today. This is the first time I've walked into a restaurant and said "This place has had a deep cleaning and you can tell." The food was fantastic! The place was really busy for 8am too. Had with a #1 and then smoked sausage, biscuit, 3 scrambled eggs and a pancake. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the biscuit was fantastic! The smoked sausage was also delicious and had a great smokey flavor. This was a fantastic experience and can't wait to try this place again.

The BEST hashbrowns I've had in a hot minute! I was craving a classic diner breakfast, you know the kind... - great service - great coffee - great pancakes - great eggs (made your way!) - and of course, great hashbrowns!!! This cafe has it ALL and more! I can't wait to try more on the menu or just another round of hashbrowns. ;D

Went here cause I wanted to try something different. My father lives on this side of town, so I thought why not. The food portion was great. It's a huge place inside. My daughter loved the Mac n cheese. Fries were crispy. Loved the biscuit and gravy. Bacon was so crispy. We will be back!!

I've been a customer here for 15 years. Just what I thought it couldn't get any better, it took a giant step forward. I believe, since the new ownership took over, this restaurant has gone from great to perfect in its class. Nice, clean building with good, efficient service. The decor is now updated and fresh. The daily lunch specials are not to be overlooked! Today, I'm feasting on the Friday deal: my choice of sides includes turnip greens and squash casserole, two of my favorites. Beef tips and noodles are made with real prime beef and absolutely just like your grandma would've made! Finish that with cornbread, and you are off to the races! Unsweet Arnold Palmer, and I am a happy camper!

Everything was Great! I come every Saturday and Sunday for the Pozole Soup. I add a soft scrambled egg, green salsa and squeeze 2-3 lemons along with other fix-ins. Olga, was a Wonderful waitress as is all that work here. We love the at Home feel you get at West Side.

Does anyone know a recipe similar to their squash casserole? I live in Dallas now and I crave it all the time.

I actually use a lot of amazing recipes on a site called lemon8. They might have it on there

    Is breakfast served all day?

Yes, they serve breakfast all day.

Just wondering, can customers order for to-go/pick up? I don't mind being charged for tip.

Yes, I saw folks picking up to-go orders when I was there.

How do I find out sodium content of foods, i.e. western omelet?

Hi Donna, and thanks for your question. But unfortunately, we do not have that information in a comprehensive form. We would have to hire a laboratory to analyze all of our products, and this would cost many thousands of dollars and is not…

What an incredible hidden gem on the west side of Fort Worth!…read more A few months back, my wife purchased a new Honda Accord at Frank Kent Honda. We were both VERY impressed with the dealership and that's why we ended up purchasing there. When we toured the dealership they pointed out Twin Creeks Cafe which is located inside the facility. They served breakfast, snacks and lunch 6 days a week. Each day they feature a different lunch special. You probably wouldn't expect the level of food here but it will definitely surprise you. Everything is made from scratch. On Saturday the special is chicken friend steak with your choice of two sides. For my sides i ordered mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach, yep sauteed spinach! My wife ordered the chicken avocado panini with chips on the side. After a short wait, our lunches were brought to our table. What incredible service! The service at Twin Creeks is parallel with the service that Frank Kent provides. The server asked f there was anything else they could get us. i couldn't believe the size of the chicken fry. My chicken fried was hand breaded. it was huge and fried to perfection. It was an incredible deal for $7.99 with a drink included. The mashed potatoes were made from scratch and the sauteed spinach was absolutely delicious. it was so nice to have something different from what you'd expect at a fast food cafe. My wife said her chicken panini was delicious. i also noticed that they were preparing lots of "to-go" orders for individuals who worked in the area, not just Frank Kent associates. I guess the word has gotten out about Twin Creeks. If you're on the west side of Ft. Worth, stop in at Frank Kent Honda and have lunch. You WON'T be disappointed.

First Watch on Camp Bowie is a lesson in patience that pays off, mostly. It's a breakfast spot with…read morea loyal following, a small footprint, and a wait that will test your commitment to eggs. Spoiler: it's worth it, with a few asterisks. First, the logistics. The space is cozy, which is a polite way of saying it is not built for large groups or people who like personal space. The wait can be substantial, and the indoor holding area is limited, if the weather is doing something dramatic, you'll want to know that before you commit. The real secret, which I discovered the hard way, is that you can join the waitlist online before you even leave the house. Life-changing information that arrived too late for us. Learn from my mistakes. Once seated, the coffee is hot, the iced tea is fresh, a surprisingly rare achievement at breakfast hours, and the menu has enough options to cause genuine decision paralysis. We ordered two Traditional Breakfasts, both over easy eggs, both crispy bacon. One arrived cooked to absolute perfection, eggs exactly as requested, bacon doing exactly what bacon is supposed to do. The other arrived with eggs cooked firmly over hard. Same table, same order, same server. How does this happen? It is one of breakfast's great unsolved mysteries. The breakfast potatoes, meanwhile, showed promise, well seasoned and flavorful, but arrived in a mixed state of doneness that required careful excavation to find the fully cooked ones. It was less of a side dish and more of an archaeological dig. The third order, the Tri-Fecta, came with a multigrain pancake the size of a small continent, which almost made up for the potato situation. And then there was the Million Dollar Bacon. We didn't order it. The table next to us did. I watched it arrive and I am still not over it. Order the Million Dollar Bacon. Do not make my mistake. Do not be me. First Watch is a solid breakfast spot with real upside, get on the waitlist before you leave home, order the bacon, and maybe double-check your eggs before your server walks away.

You can sit outside and enjoy the scenery while watching people walking, running, and riding their bikes along the trails. It's the perfect spot to grab breakfast after a workout! Parking can be a little difficult to find since so many people come to the area to exercise, but honestly, that's a small downside compared to everything else this place has to offer. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the bathrooms are nice and clean as well. They also allow pets in the outdoor seating area, which is a great bonus for pet owners! The quiche tasted great, but the portion was incredibly disappointing. At $22 for a single slice, it just didn't feel worth the price. We considered ordering another slice but decided against it. Even after sharing both dishes, we left still a little hungry. The portion sizes just didn't match the prices. We also ordered a mimosa carafe for $35, with mimosas 11+ a glass it just seemed to be the better option. We opted for the patio this time, and with the overcast morning, it made for a really pleasant experience. There was plenty of outdoor seating and nice views, which was definitely a highlight. The service was a bit odd. Our server seemed rushed and hovered over us at times, but then disappeared when we actually needed something. It felt inconsistent and made the experience less enjoyable. Overall, the food tasted good, and the outdoor seating is lovely, but the value just isn't there for me. Great atmosphere, but the pricing doesn't match the portion sizes.

I have no complaints on the delicious food. The only not so tasty thing was the coffee. We like strong, bold brews. The regular hot coffee was decent, but the cold brew tastes like iced coffee and not cold brew. This won't stop us from heading back because the food was great. Our server was delightful. Actually, all employees we interacted with were awesome considering how very busy the restaurant was. There was not one empty table the entire time we dined. Employees were friendly and helpful. There is currently some type of construction going on in the front of the restaurant, but since they are located in strip shopping center, this does not affect parking.
