Over multiple years and several thousands of dollars spent at Dang PT, I'm updating my review. I…read moredid not receive the quality of care or customer service I would expect from a high-end physical therapy establishment and would not recommend it. The first package I purchased at Dang PT working with Dean was great and I didn't experience any customer service issues. Towards the end of my time with Dean, I experienced an injury that prompted me to seek orthopedic care again. My doctor recommended a different PT establishment, where I received care for several months. After I completed my package there, I returned to Dang PT. This was when I started experiencing customer service and quality of care issues. My first unsavory experience was when I bought my second PT package. They showed me the wrong price sheet. I selected a 14-session package @ $190/session and paid $500 towards the expected $2,660 cost. Later, I received a charge of $1,508 and contacted them via text to clarify the price breakdown. I do not know which employee was responding via this line, so I'm referring to the responder as they/them. They told me the 14-session package should actually be $2,739.80. Thankfully, I had a timestamped photo of the incorrect price sheet. Eventually, they agreed to honor the price I was shown, but it was unsavory that I had to resolve a mistake made on their end. After this incident, it felt like they held a grudge against me. For instance, I had trouble using the parking code they provided for the adjacent lot and texted them for help. I didn't get an answer, and when I followed up, they said they're a small business and can't really control parking. I understand they don't own the machines or lot, but their response didn't address my question and made it sound like I was unreasonable for asking for help. I'm not sure how being a small business exempts them from providing customer service or answering questions. Another unsavory experience was when I emailed my PT and never received a response. I reached out to Dang PT via text on 12/28/2025 to ask how I could contact my PT directly because I did not know who I was communicating with on the text line. They provided my PT's email. I emailed my PT on 12/30/2025 for clarification on my exercises and to provide feedback on my sessions, and they never responded. I verified several times that I had entered the email exactly as provided. I continued to see my therapist well into 2026 and never received a response, nor was my feedback taken into account. After this, my customer service experience had become so unsavory that it made me anxious to raise concerns again. Even when I had tried to ask questions and provide feedback, nothing changed. I was also locked into a package, so it felt futile to mention anything more. Essentially, I had to eat the cost of the remainder of my package despite the subpar care and customer service because I did not feel I could ask questions or get meaningful support. I continued my care with my PT, but ultimately requested to cancel the rest of my package due to a private matter, which I disclosed to them. I had used 12/14 sessions. At about 7:45 PM, I asked if they could cancel the remainder by adjusting my 12 completed visits to the 10-session package rate of $195/session. This would have been a $60 charge to me. Around 10 PM, they instead proposed adjusting the 12 visits to a 10-session package at $195/session, then charging the last 2 as individual visits at $250/session. They asked me to confirm so they could process it. I planned to respond the next morning, but before 7 AM they texted me that my refund had been processed. My partner and I found it very odd that they processed the refund before I could respond, despite asking me to confirm. Ultimately, they charged me double what I had proposed to get out of my package. Given that I have spent several thousands of dollars there, I found it nitpicky that they charged the last two visits at $250 instead of $195 - it almost felt like retaliation. However, I am happy to pay their proposed fee to not have to step foot in their establishment again. Overall, there are plenty of high-end physical therapy establishments in Los Angeles, and Dang PT does not meet the mark. I'm not sure why the decline in quality of care and customer service happened, but I saw it and so did my partner. I felt excluded from the "highest quality of care" they advertise on their website and the "relaxed, welcoming" environment they describe on their Instagram. I thank Dang PT for the contributions they made to my mobility, but ultimately, I'm disappointed in my experience here. I think this establishment has a lot of potential. They have knowledgeable physical therapists who can support clients with pain, recovering from surgery, and more. I hope they take this feedback and improve how they interact with their clients.

This led Axis PT to be the only choice to return to when I recently suffered a Grade 3 sprain on my right ankle. The Graston therapy itself was definitely intense--there were moments I was making some pretty funny pain faces! But BossB was professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything throughout the session, so I knew I was in good hands. The real test came the next day during my 44.48-mile ride. I immediately noticed that my pedal strokes felt smoother and more fluid. The patellar pain I usually experience when putting down torque on climbs was noticeably gone during that ride. Within a few weeks of starting PT I was able to do activities that I had not been able to do in the preceding two months. Jeff and Shawn were generous with their time and very helpful with their explanations of each exercise, telling me the purpose of each exercise and answering my questions about proper form and execution of each one. Yes, as has been mentioned the office is small, but the care given easily offsets that minor issue. After all, it's not a hospital, it's a physical therapy space.
