At 10:05 AM, I received a text confirming my 12:00 appointment while I was at work, so I continued working as normal. Then at 10:29 AM they sent another text saying my appointment had to be canceled. I did not see that message because I was working. I started heading over to the office and called to let them know I was almost there. That's when the receptionist told me they had sent a text saying the appointment was canceled. There was no phone call, only that one text message that I didn't see because I was busy at work. My job was already giving me a hard time about leaving for the appointment, so I asked if they could at least provide a doctor's note since my work requested one. They gave me a letter, but when I asked if someone could sign, initial, or stamp it so it would be valid for my job, the women at the front desk were sitting there laughing like it was a joke. The situation was so unprofessional and uncomfortable that I had to walk away because I was honestly shaken by how unpleasant the whole interaction was. If this is the way management operates, then it seriously needs to do better. I have been to this office before and have never experienced anything like this. I am specifically referring to the two women working at the front desk on 03/12/2026 around 12:00 PM -- their behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm not even upset that I didn't get seen. I'm upset that there was such an unreachable method used to inform me my appointment was canceled. I had already left work and traveled across town. She put watches on the teeth and said she would monitor them. Dr. Dobra said if I brush and floss every day and come for my 6 month check up and nothing progresses, then no need for any work. It just requires me to do my part, which I will gladly do. I am so happy I found a dental office that is family/ doctor owned, and that does not take advantage of patients by making them do unnecessary work. You saved me hard earned money which helps my family. Additionally, when I had my cleaning it was so gentle and thorough that I could not believe the deal.The doctor was so caring - this office is a true hidden gem. My visit was like a SPA experience. They failed to do the crown correctly the first time so they offered to do it again the second time for free and I let them. Same result and my "permanent" crown fell out just a few months later. I now need to start from the beginning again with a fresh root canal. So that was 5 appointments in total which I got numbed with needles each time for no reason. I will need to pay for the root canal on my own again which is not cheap. They did refund me for the crown but it was not worth it the pain and agony. Go somewhere else!

I am sharing my story to inform others that they can find better oral care elsewhere. In mid-June, I went for my first check up and cleaning at Glendale Modern Dentistry. Upon arrival, I learned that required, pre-appointment forms had not been emailed. As a result, I would have to complete them before my appointment. No tablet computer was provided, so I was left to fill out the forms on my personal cell phone. The task was made more difficult due to a lack of internet service in the office. I was told to connect to Dunkin' Donuts WiFi, which again had a poor signal. Eventually, I stood outside in the 100+ degree heat to complete the series of forms. Next, an extensive set of X-rays and photographs taken. Then I was escorted to an exam room where the hygienist hurriedly performed periodontal charting. I attempted to explain that I was very anxious, and usually the hygienist numbs my mouth to avoid discomfort that occurs during my cleaning. The hygienist seemed to lack empathy, and told me that she would prefer to try doing the cleaning without a local anesthetic first. Next the dentist reviewed the X-rays with me, indicating that I have no cavities. When the time finally came for my cleaning, the hygienist refused to perform the service unless I agreed to the following additional procedures: - Scaling and Root Planing -Adjunctive Pre-Diagnostic Test that aids in detection of mucosal abnormalities -Fluoride Varnish -A laser treatment (which she eventually admitted was unnecessary) Again I explained that I was very anxious, and that for this first visit I simply wanted a local anesthetic with a standard teeth cleaning. It was important that I gain confidence and establish trust in the hygienist's quality of care. The hygienist repeatedly refused to do a basic teeth cleaning unless I agreed to the additional procedures, so I eventually left the office without my 6-month cleaning. Of course now my insurance has now been charged approximately $1700 for the X-rays and exam, and I am left without the routine cleaning for which the appointment was intended. At the same time, my young-adult son was being seen in another exam room. This a young man who takes good care of his teeth and has had routine dental appointments every 6 months his entire life. His experience resulted in an out-of-pocket charge of $85 for an unneeded deep cleaning. The hygienist also recommended he get a laser treatment, but eventually said that it could be done at a follow up visit instead. Glendale Modern Dentistry is not interested in quality health care. They seem to be much more focused on up-charging people for unnecessary services. Save yourself the inconvenience and expense by going elsewhere!

A human answers the phone every time I've ever called (during business hours)!! It amazing. This office gives me the feeling of dentists offices from the past where we weren't patient number blah blah blah.. They've always treated Brian and myself like family and give us the feeling they really care. They know our names and although we typically visit separately because of our schedules, everyone asks "how's Brian?" or "how was the wedding?" Signaling that they've taken the time to remember things about their patients and care about our lives outside of just billing our insurance. This is especially evident in long time employees like Nedra. This woman is amazing. She has a firm but loving way of letting you know what to focus on while not making you feel judged or put down. I had to schedule a second appointment for a cleaning and I knew I had to take care of a cavity so they told me that if I come in for my cleaning the next day, I can't take care of my cavity because they're tend to work half days on Thursday which I don't know how they can expect that to work for anyone that has a day job. I can't take three consecutive days off just to accommodate the schedule of these dentists. When I explain this to the dentist he promptly said, fine you can go somewhere else. That did not come across as great service and I'm not satisfied with this dentist. I would not recommend going here. Secondly I asked for a quote on my son's wisdom teeth, they printed me a price that was over $3,000. We recalled getting a quote for the same thing 6 months ago and the cost had doubled. I had to ask about this specifically before they realized that they use a different billing code this time and unless I mentioned that the price was different I doubt they would have brought it up. Also if you have a credit with this dentist they will not tell you, unless you ask. This is not a good experience at this dentist. UPDATE: after a comment was made by the business about calling to correct my bad experience, the practice manager advised that she had not read my review and that's her marketing team and they don't have time to read reviews and they don't care about one-star reviews. I questioned everything in my review and there was not any accountability made or apologies for the experience. They said that they only staff one hygienist and if they don't have time, you don't get a cleaning. Don't expect quality service and don't expect accountability from this office for their bad service. UPDATE 2: if you call and give them feedback they will cancel your next appointment without even calling you. They do not want another opportunity to make things right. They ended up deciding they wanted to cancel the relationship with the entire family of three of us in the household that went to this dentist. They didn't care that my wife was halfway through her orthodontic Care. I wanted to give them an opportunity to earn my business back so I kept my appointment but they canceled it without any communication. And then after all of that they text me the same week to ask me about calling their office for scheduling my cleaning.
