So, I don't know who's responsibility these tasks are but here's what has not been communicated to me and things I have had to deal with since the first review I posted in November. I was never scheduled for a follow up appointment. I called a month later to ask if the mesh was still supposed to be in place and the person that answered the phone seemed very bothered by my question and said I can come in "if I want to". I scheduled an appt that was later cancelled by them two days before the appt due to a scheduling error, they NEVER bothered to follow up to get me in to be seen. I called back to make an appt to have the crowns placed and was then informed that they don't do any of that, only the implants (at which point would have been a great time to tell me about the healing caps because I had no idea what they were, but they didn't) so I called around to find a new dentist to do the crowns who then asked me if I had my healing caps on and if I had my info of the kind and size of the implants to which I had to say I had neither. Called back and asked about the healing caps, nothing but attitude from the desk clerk. Scheduled an appt for 3/7 at 8am for said caps, showed up and the door was locked and the desk clerk was giving me a nasty look through the window while laughing with her friend they finally open door and tell me the office is closed because the doctors wife is having the baby and I'm like cool so you guys don't think to call me before I drive 40 minutes out of my way to this appt? They then tried to tell me I had the wrong day and had I waited until the next day, they would have called me. Bull. I verified that day and time 3 times when I made the appt. I don't put things on my calendar unless they're confirmed (personal, but I have OCD) I now have an appt scheduled for the 23rd so I'm a little concerned about what's going to happen and how I'm going to be treated to be honest but the process is almost over and good news, I never have to go back.

I don't know what that is. that's okay, if I don't know it, I'll just look it up on Google". After struggling with the spellings of the medication, they gave up and said "Well, we'll just let the doctor figure out what they are." and then they walked out without saying anything. When the surgeon came in, he looked at my son's gums, wanted to take a picture, and used his own phone to take photos (do they not have modern equipment to take photos?) After looking at his gums, the surgeon felt rushed with his description and explanation. After the consultation, the nurse simply walked us out, and I had to ask if someone would be calling me to schedule a follow up appointment, or what we should expect to happen next, she simply said yes. Didn't feel like my 10 yr old would receive the best attention or quality of care here. Will be looking to go somewhere else.

They are DESPERATE for money. Asked them to not bill my old jobs insurance and that I have ahcccs now and they billed it anyway just because ahcccs denied ONE out of two teeth. Granted, the old jobs insurance was still active even though I told them I don't want them to use it since I submitted an appeal with ahcccs to get it covered. I just received both letters from both insurances today & that's how I found out. I even went out of my way and called ahcccs prior to getting my teeth pulled and they said it would be covered with the $1,000 emergency dental. That's why we ended up doing the extractions because I told them I had no money to pay it. Otherwise, I would have rescheduled. They kept trying to keep having me back but why would I when they don't listen or do their job with the insurance or send meds when you NEED them. I had to call all the time just to finally get antibiotics a week later after realizing how bad the infection was regardless if the xray didn't show it. I referred a coworker there and they wanted her to do it there too even though she needs to be put under. They don't offer laughing gas either. They wanted to do her implants even though she needs an oral surgeon. Anything so they get to bill you instead of another office. UPDATE: AHCCCS did cover it the first time hence why the appeal was denied because they lied about that too. I should've known they were money hungry when they wouldn't even try to get the PA approved through AHCCCS & I had to call them. All cuz they just wanted me to pay out of pocket.

Dr. Le was a wonderful dentist; It was the first time I'd had work done from him, and right away I felt very comfortable with him and the work which he did. Abel was the dental assistant, and he is one who has worked on me before. As always, he was very professional and personable. After recently visiting other dental offices, I realized that cleanings should not be that uncomfortable. Though I do have a lot of respect for dental hygienists--their job of cleaning people's mouths is incredibly difficult, and I know I couldn't do this job myself. One time, they upsold me a very expensive mouthwash that cost over $50. I bought it because my cleanings were always very painful, and they claimed it would help by preventing buildup. But it didn't make any difference--it was a complete waste of money. I was a patient here for about five years, and another issue was that over time it became clear that communication was consistently lacking. The staff never directly explained their concerns with me. Good and timely communication helps prevent much bigger issues down the line, but unfortunately, that standard wasn't met here. Additionally, I never even knew who the actual dentist was--his name or even if it was the same person each time I visited. There was also a billing or coding error during one of my visits. Despite it being the office's responsibility to resolve and they actually promised to do so, I had to resolve the issue myself despite myself not being on the expert on the field. If you live in the area, I recommend exploring or at least looking into other options, such as Gentle Dental in Palm Valley or a private dental practice. These alternatives generally offer better continuity of care, lower staff turnover, and honest communication in difficult situations. And the dental cleaning to my honest experience is much less painful.

I went back because this clinic is like 3 min. from my house, and is one of the few my insurance will pay for. I went back on 10 11 20, and I was so surprised! My dentist, Dr. Benitez and her hygienist were so kind to me. They worked fast and were very efficient. They took the time to answer my questions. Now I have beautiful teeth once again. Apparently they fall under a corporate umbrella and it feels that way too. Made appointments on the phone and the person helping might have been new because they struggled to answer questions. Got to my appointment and had to wait for about 20 minutes after my time. X-rays are out in the open in a hallway, so if you struggle with those, know you will be on display. Once I was taken back 4 different people came and went, didn't really explain who they were. Finally the dentist came. All in all I was there over an hour for a cleaning, lots of waiting at all levels. Bedside manner was not really a thing. When you sit in the dental chair your back is to an open hallway which is a very unsettling feeling. People come and talk to you and use a computer to your side and you can't really even see them due to the layout of the chair. This made the experience feel even more cold. Definitely felt like just a number. If you have any dental anxiety or PTSD, this is not the place for you. I'll drive further to get better care.
