This is not my favorite mall for many reasons. There are several spaces still for lease. I guess it seems like a ghost town. Every time I go there the stores have changed out and none of them seem to last. It's kind of depressing. There is a nice food court selection and it has one of the last Hot Dog On a Stick locations. I also miss the carousel that added a bit of whimsy. Now it's just all business and nothing else. They do have a really nice movie theatre. read more

Some are People that come in are disgusting rats who leave there trash discarded where people feel like leaving it. Bathrooms are kept clean most of the time. But immediately after they are, people somehow find a way to defile it. I've seen it all too: Not flushing the toilet where I see there disgusting floaters. Pissing on the floor Leaving piss stains all over toilet seat. Spitting there gum in the urinal Spitting there disgusting tobacco on the floor/toilet/urinal Leaving a huge ass mess of toilet paper on the floor. This mall sure gets knocked a lot by locals and out of towners alike, and yes, this is not a fabulous mall, and no people will not drive for miles to get here. I get that. But I think it should be reviewed in context with the community it serves. Between Mountain House and Tracy there are about 100K people within close proximity of this mall, that's it. Personally for that population, I think the mall does it's job. It can't compete with shopping areas in Modesto, Stockton, and the Tri Valley nor is it trying to. Quite honestly I am happy we actaully have a mall like this in our town close by without having to go over the hill into the bay area and fight ridiculous traffic. So the mall is anchored by Target, Sears, JCPenny, MACY'S, and a Cinemark Theater. A new Sports Authority is opening soon and I suppose it will sort of be an anchor. Other notable stores are Big 5, Foot Locker, Bath and Body Works, Homelife Furniture, and I am sure I am forgetting others. I think the only movie theaters in the area are here. I might need to have someone confirm that for me. This mall does have some vacancies and in the past had some other stores that are now gone including Barnes and Noble and Aeropostale come to mind. The mall is transitioning a bit and likely is a tad big for this city but as the area grows there is some vacancy to fill up and likely some more good stores will come in or come back. The place won't wow you. Chances are you will enter into the food court area which resembles a giant cafeteria, beyond that is an arcade, and the theaters are off to the left. Then you basically go into the hear of the mall. It is a simple one story layout. One really long hallway if you will with anchors at both ends. The good about the mall is convenience and central to those of us who live in the area. The mall is wide and open and easy to get around even if it is a little crowded. It has a couple of small kid play areas which is nice and there is plenty of parking. Getting in and out isn't a problem. The bad about the mall might just be that it is boring and vacancies occur. That may just be a function of the economy though as this area was hit a little harder than most several years ago. If you don't live in Tracy or Mountain House and you're driving through, you probably don't need to stop here. If you live here, I think you SHOULD go here and support your local economy and save gas rather than always driving 20+ miles to shop. If locals would actually shop local, you would get more quality local places to shop at. read more

Was there today and was very disappointed in finding that approximately 15 business's were closed and the ones that were open didn't really have very many customers in them. One good thing about the place is that it has one very long walk way. 10 times around it and you will sure get your exercise for the day, week even. I've lived in Tracy for 12 years and I am embarrassed of our mall. All there is in the mall is technically the movies, and the shoe stores. Our food court kind of sucks as well. -_- We need some better food and better stores. Alot of the stores have closed down. I guess people don't appreciate things until they're gone. I'd also like to point out, I hear people say they need stuff like a coach and a BeBe, and other upscale stores. But lets be honest people, will those survive in frugal ol' Tracy? The same people come back from Paragon crying and moaning about their outrageous "outlet" prices and didn't end up buying stuff. Damned if you do and damned if you don't lol. Lastly I'll agree there are to many of the same thing. And many don't last. To many guys "fresh" clothes and way more girls fashion clothes and mainly for ages 14 to maybe 25ish. So that's an honest review. It serves its purpose. Today my daughter went inside this store but she forgot the name she was charged $50 for a pair of Pro Club sweats which wasn't even the worst part the middle aged man told her to try on the sweats right there in front of him which was very horrible he manipulated her made her feel uncomfortable and unsafe and I am so disgusted by this if you see a store with Pro Clubs Logo on the top right of the store with a middle aged Indian man with a mustache and beard he seemed he was in his mid 50s if you see a man that looks like him please say something my MINOR daughter she is 13 YEARS OLD!!!! With her friend please someone say something I am very upset with this if something isn't done with this I will take this to a higher level I believe the store was where Fresh and Fitted used to be at I assume he was the owner he wouldn't let her leave until she tried it on and bought it my daughter came home crying to me I am very upset that this passes with this mall this store was near Spencer's. read more

ORANGE JULIUS: the guy who served us seemed bothered and blahh. all 3 of the julius were overly sweet w. barely any blended ice JOPPA: staff was great good selection on apparel style, only if your a small - medium size :( up to size 9 it seemed to be. wish they had sizes that fit healthy body types, the large looked medium CHOICE: staff assistance only when paying, and we got to hear employees discuss more than needed details about customer issues. store temperature was horribly warm, you could wipe sweat off the face. HIP GENERATION: staff was great style selection is good, sizes are limited to basic. GAME STOP: staff was okay real small, tight place. selection is okay. SANRIO: staff was good selection was basic and limited. good clearance or sale deals. As a father of two young kids, I'm partial to a mall that features a carousel and arcade. It's almost like an indoor carnival for us. As someone who goes to a mall to buy something, however, I'm thoroughly unimpressed. Aside from the Target and the bookstore, the mall itself lacks any specialty stores worthy of attention. It's worth driving an extra 25 miles out to Pleasanton's Stoneridge if you want a more lively shopping experience. read more

Just keeps getting worse! Everything is closing. They need to get big name stores in ASAP! Get rid of the cheap knock off stores. A dollar store? Really??? This is why everyone shops in other towns. Tracy lacks options. Not to mention you can rarely park there without having your vehicle broken into or vandalized in some way. Even the Macys is so small that it's not worth going to. This is not a mall that I normally go to. If we are in Tracy visiting family and REALLY do not have anything to do, we stop here to look around at random stores. This mall really does not have many shops. When I go here, I stop by a few shoe stores, big 5, target, and JcPennys. There is really not much going on at this mall. I would rather drive the 25 mins and go to Stoneridge mall. I guess it is okay for a small town, but it is not a place I look forward to going every time. It is what is is... Enjoy. read more

True, it's a lonely little mall still waiting for the crowd of hungry consumers that never quite came, but there's a certain understated charm to its vast walkways and unfamiliar store brands. For one, it's one of the most kid-friendly malls I've ever been to, considering it's scale. There's an pretty cheap movie theatre, arcade, carousel, play-area, assorted 25cent candy machines throughout (and a train? but I haven't seen it recently) and tons of space for kids to run around in and not risk being tramped on by groups of moody, gangly teens or women in big shades and needle-point stilettos. My younger siblings love the play-area and all hunger pangs are easily satiated with a quick trip to the Auntie's pretzels and Tutti Fruitti, which makes things a lot easier for my mom when she gets her shop on. Shopping-wise: Macy's has never failed me in turning up a great deal (Tommy Hilfiger collared button-up for $10? Yes please!), but the woman's section leaves much much to be desired. Still, this Macy's can be a trove of bargains (though it does require a thorough hunt), and the salespeople are really sweet, helpful, and VERY patient with coupons. There are a few mainstays like AE, Target, Aeropostale, Bath and Body Works, Charlotte Russe, Famous Footwear, JCPenneys, etcetc as well as a few non-brands like Joppa, Hip Generation, and Choice which are fun to walk in and buy trend items without breaking the bank. Most stores on the two ends of the mall come and go, which is sad and makes the shopping experience from season to season a bit like speed-dating. +1 for the Sonic outside! It's definitely a mall still trying to find its groove, but there are certainly aspects of it that I really appreciate. And PRETTY PLEASE, the addition of a Forever21 and a HM would be awesome possum! read more

Holy Wife Beater Batman! There is a Tattoo Shop IN THE MALL!!!!! Hubby dropped off his truck to get an alignment from Sear's so I can drive it when he gone. So we cruised the mall while it was getting fixed. -Barnes and Noble! YAY! I love this place. We split up and I went to the cookbook section and he found his travel book he was looking for. -Gottschalk's was a good bathroom stop - nice and clean! -KarmelKorn/Dairy Queen/Orange Julius - Strawberry Julius is my FAVE. -Target for Easter Candy There are a couple of other brand name stores. But not much. The food court is basic - a mexican place, chinese food, I think Burger King and something else. There is a movie theater here too - next to the food court which is kinda smart. Only existing mall in tracy and it serves its purpose. They have anchor stores like target, jcp, sears and macys and additional shops inside. It's a good mall if you want to kill time and do your routine walking exercise and window shop. It's not always packed which is a plus for me, because honestly too much people gives me the hives. I love that target is within this mall so i can just shop there and still wander around the mall. They also have a kids playplace and giant chess/chessboard that you can play with. read more

I remember when I was little I would be excited to go to to the mall with my parents but when we went to West Valley, I would always be pretty bummed. Why? They only had a few stores that I liked and they didn't have a Forever 21. I rarely go to this mall but the only time I would go is when my family and I would eat at Hometown Buffet or if I don't feel like driving all the way to Stockton. This is the only mall in the Central Valley that has a movie theater inside of it. Plus, their arcade isn't that bad either and it beats the one in Stockton. It's just sad to see some stores close down due to the recession. FYI, there's a big carousel located in the middle of the food court for kids to ride on which is pretty cool considering I haven't seen any carousel in any other mall. read more

I don't know how, but this mall is still quasi-functional. Granted, It's clean and the shops are decent. However, even before the declining market, this place has not been entertaining attractive vendors. I kind-of feel like this is the K-Mart of malls compared to the surrounding area. The mall in Tracy is just not a fun place to go window shopping. There are many would-be stores that are dark and empty (closed). I'll usually go to get what I need and I'm gone. The primary reasons for my patroniage is getting food to-go in the food court, our taking in a nickelodeon at CineMark. Nothing there makes me want to shop around and have fun. Just east of us in Manteca is an awesome outdoor mall. Ever since they opened up, that are easily putting our shops and location to shame. They have higher quality vendors and places you actually want to "shop" in. read more

West Valley Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Tracy, California

This mall is a ghost town. Other than its Barnes and Noble book store, target Victoria Secret(small), and Bath and body works, it is so sad. I have twins, and the only thing we like about the "mall" is the arcade (pricey), would rather take them to a Chucke cheese but there isn't one in Tracy! Food court food is horrible, I only buy from hot dog on a stick for the kids. Macy's has no name brands designer clothing, only good thing is they have MAC. If you are looking for fun lively shopping center go to Stoneridge mall in Pleasanton or the Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto. I still rather drive to San Jose to Valley Fair. Two stars for the 4 stores I'd shop there for. read more

I like this mall compare to other malls I've been too. I got to say, I like how wide the mall is. A lot of walking space, even though there's not much people come here. It's more to Stockton mall amount of people, and note is one story as well. Though better having Target, a lot of activity for kids to do ( play rooms), gaming room ( more like for teenagers and adult area), a movie theater, and much more! I see there was a lot of people in the salon. There's even a furniture store! The internet WiFi is slow. Some stores closed and some seems cramped. There is not one place here that I will buy clothing & apparel. I love to shop for quality clothing and I hate to sound like this but there isn't one place in this mall that caters to that need. This is why I shop at Stoneridge or Stanford. I will drive to San Francisco's Union Square for a pair of Kenneth Cole or Cole Haan's....I love living here but I think it's time for the city counsel & West Valley Mall to re-think a few things regarding driving new revenues for this mall. read more

Our mall in Tracy SUCKS! There's really nothing there that is exciting. The only really nice store is Victoria's Secreat. Everything else in there is just okay. I'd rather drive the extra 20 mins to go into Pleasanton and have a variety. I mean we don't even have a MACY'S come on. Tracy can and should do better for it's people! Average mall no good store except victoria's secret. Sprint kiosk is a joke but the guys that work there are really nice. Food court is ok at best. They shit down barnes and nobles so no book store or comic book store theres a small one but they dont have anything good. Just go to the outlets in livermore if youre looking to shop. Giving this mall 3 stars because it still has such a 90s feel to it. The designed tiles on the floor, the carousel in the the cafeteria, and the tilt arcade all remind me of how malls used to be. This mall seems to exist for families who are unwilling or cannot afford to commute to the Bay Area for an even better shopping experience. Then again, it might be due to the traffic on the 580 and 205. Having said that, the mall caters more to the mom with a kid or two. It's even advertised in the mall brochure. (Hooray for family toilets!) It has your typical department stores (JCPenney, Sears, Gottschalks), a real bookstore (Barnes and Noble is more classy than Waldenbooks in my opinion), movie theater, and other typical stores such as Old Navy and Cinnabon. On the grounds of the mall, you have other big box stores. But the one that stands out for me is Sonic burgers, which in CA is quite rare. I don't recall ever seeing Sonic burger drive-ins either in the Bay Area or in Los Angeles (or even my area), so it is awesome that this mall actually has one on its grounds. Overall, this mall has decent places to shop. Nothing extraordinary pops out, but it does remind you that you are in the suburbs/exurbs of America. read more
