Fun and awesome way to cruise and tour wineries in Napa. Jake our No Ka Oi Born on Maui Tour Guide was such a fine young gentleman with witty "talk story" skills. I suggest you bring a cooler with water though and a fan because there is no AC in van. But we didn't feel it until the third (and last) tour. This is a pretty expensive adventure with very little perks. Three people in our party exited the bus because they felt it was unsafe. It was raining pretty hard and we were wiping down the windshield and windows with a cloth to see out. The seat belts in front are tied on. Should probably not offer this to groups larger than 6. The driver was a nice kid but rather shy and not communicative. So, no "fun fact" perks. I also had to call him to ask where to meet him next and what time. Only food offering was a sandwich. no water, although I did see it in the back of the van. Not very professional, not very fun and rather expensive. Although we got a few cute pictures and the tasting at Winery sixteen 600 was a good recommendation for lunch. read more

I booked West Wine Tours for my reunion trip with my friends from college. We met Jacob(the new owner) in downtown Napa with one of his beautifully maintained VW buses named Green Bean. The ride was comfortable for the 6 of us and Jacob was a lot of fun! He is very knowledgeable about the area having grown up there and picked some gorgeous wineries for us to visit. No communication! Poor management. No one will answer your email or calls. Once I finally received a call back from them, I realized that they didn't have my booking correct, and went ahead and booked another couple on the bus that I reserved for my friends and I. The woman (guessing the owner?) abruptly canceled my reservation the day before and sent me a text telling me that she didn't appreciate my "negative response". I mean, wouldn't you be upset if they booked you incorrectly, had poor communication and also added 2 other strangers to join on your bus? I see that these are new owners...I wish them the best of luck taking over this business, as it seems they are a bit over their heads. read more

We booked a six-seater VW bus for a 50th birthday celebration on September 27th, unfortunately we didn't get to go and had to request for the cancellation on October 12th. The truth is that the operator offered very little help through the experience, it took her anywhere from a few days to a week to even respond to my emails. We didn't get any assistance in winery booking either, a few days before the tour, we still haven't gotten any reservations from them except the ones I booked myself. Later the other operator Nicole does seem to be more professional, but overall it was a very suboptimal experience, I was surprised about the level of service quality in one of our most renowned wine countries. read more

I had a great time on this wine tour and our host was quite nice but I am just shocked at the cost. Around $125 per person. We had 7 people so we paid over $700 to be driven around from 11am-5pm. What was nice is that the wineries gave us specials because we were with west wine tours. I feel bad to give 2 stars but I hesitate cuz I knew how much it would cost when we signed up. What I didn't know is how small the lunch would be and how crappppppppy the van was. The speakers barely works and there were seat belts but they didn't work very well. Like they were not tight around my body and no wya to adjust and it didn't go over my shoulder just my waist. The lunch was small but yummy salads. We booked with West Wine tours well over two months in advance via their website after communicating with the company via phone and email. We paid $1160 in FULL on August 21. THREE DAYS before the event (October 31) we received an email from the company informing us that our tour was being cancelled and refunded without explanation. Confused and panicked, when we contacted the company we were given conflicting information as to why this had occurred, but it basically boiled down to the company double-booking the same date. When we probed deeper for solutions and explanations they stopped communicating with us altogether. As far as mistakes go, this is as big of a mistake you can make as a company. However, it is how they handled this mistake that is incredibly disappointing. We are scrambling to find a solution with two days left before our event and 12 guests on the hook without transportation. Elizabeth worked with me to plan the perfect day for 3 vegetarians and 1 vegan who only drinks red wine. My siblings were visiting us from Baltimore, MD (I'm a local - from Sausalito), and I knew they would love it. We had the best time riding around in Scarlet with our driver Joseph! Lots of great pictures for Instagram, thanks to Joseph. We asked for a Keto diet, and they went out of their way to accommodate. We booked WWT without our husbands knowledge so it was a fun treat for them to see the vehicle when it arrived. They loved it! This company cancelled our booking a few days before our scheduled trip. They were able to get a more expensive group on airbnb and told us they did not want to cancel on the airbnb booking. This is after they asked us two months ago specifically to not book through their airbnb listing. Rather than admitting their mistake and trying to help us out they told us it was a system issue and then proceeded to charge us for another booking. I would think twice before using their service.
