I'm very grateful to have found esther and her team at this location. I even had to return less than a year or so later traveling 1 hr for a skin treatment, yes! She's that good and knows what she's doing. All I need is one visit and the next day my skin is back to normal. This place is very disorganized. My boyfriend had a 3:45 appointment and was called in at 4:40. The doctor didn't come in until well pass 5pm. What's the purpose of having an appointment at a specific time when a patient is going to be seen 2 hours later? In addition while waiting in the exam room the workers from I guess the billing department were very loud. We really don't have to hear about your weekend plans. He seemed to get offended when I told my young sibling who was with me to not call him a doctor as he is not. I have visited Westchester Dermatology three times and I'm very impressed with their services which prompted me to write this review. The receptionist and Dr.s Aid are professional polite and extremely thorough. This is a busy establishment which should tell you they're very popular with the public. My wait time was quick. I don't have one complaint rather a great experience. I had a large black head removed produced by plugged oil gland and felt no pain whatsoever. In addition a wart was removed on the left side of my abdomen and a skin growth removed too. The Dr. gave me four injections to remove the skin growth and I didn't flinch at all, I felt no pain and during both procedures, I left with peace of mind. The Dr. has an extremely gentle touch and knows her stuff. She knew exactly what I had with her diagnosis and treated it right away. I have had constant oily skin all of my life and was given a prescription medication which is working wonders. No more oily skin which is fantastic. If you're looking for a knowledgeable Dermatologist and not sure where to go look no further and make an appointment, you'll be impressed. There's plenty of space in the waiting room area, air conditioning and a large screen TV to accomadate you. As for parking, there's plenty of it in the neighborhood. A thing I learned is that that if you decide to go in the parking lot it's busy. Simply go down the ramp when you enter and park in the back of the building and you're in business, it works for me every time. Just enter the rear of the building a few feet away, take the elevator up to the second floor and you're right there. A five star reccomendation! read more

This place is absolutely disgusting. The staff is unprofessional and dirty. When I first came in I noticed that none of the medical assistants had masks on and there were no sanitizing stations. I waited almost an hour to be seen. When a dermatologist came in, he told me his name was Emmanuel. I didn't know who he was because I've never had a Dr. introduce themselves in such a way. He then proceeded to ask me inappropriate questions such as what my ssn was and what I did for a living. He demanded that I explain myself for being there and told me in not so many words that he didn't want to help me because it would only benefit the plastic surgeon that I would see in the future. After telling him that he was making me uncomfortable he laughed and asked me if I was serious. I informed him that I would be reporting him to my insurance company as well as filing a formal complaint with the BBB and the Department of Ethical Treatment in Medicine. Today, I had some work done by Emmanuel Agnant, in the Riverdale location. This is the first time going to this location. Emmanuel took great care of me! He used Radiesse, filler on my check bones and jawline, and Xeomin (a Botox alternative: No Preservatives) on my forehead, crows feet, and frown lines. I left looking and feeling great!! I found this place by mere coincidence. I was just looking for a dermatologist near me that takes my insurance and came across this one. Conveniently it also took my wife's insurance so we both went together. They were very down to earth and even allowed us to be seen together. I had a skin rash on my leg for a few years and no one can figure out how to treat it. When I saw Dr. Ester in a few seconds she told me exactly what it was and prescribed medication (cream, ointment). I'm proud and relieved to say the medication started working affective immediately. More importantly it's also working on my ladies legs who had a similar rash. We are both so relieved because the itchy dry affected areas were unbearable. This Dr. is very knowledgeable. She also removed several skin tags from my neck and the procedure took only few minutes. It was Painless, quick and I'm so happy. She should get 10 stars read more

Henry Wu always came across as arrogant during my doctors appointments.   I started seeing him to be treated for a rare scalp condition, because my previous dermatologist retired.  He treated me with antibiotics over the course of several months, adjusting the dose lower as time went on.  He also made me buy an expensive shampoo out of pocket sold by his office, Westchester Dermatology Center  which I realized later had nothing to do with my condition. The antibiotics helped some but I still had irritation to my scalp.  He said I wasn't good with follow up because I didn't see him as often as he liked even though I continued on the regimen he prescribed. But I have a hectic work schedule.  It all came to a head when I made a follow up appointment to see him.   When I went to the appointment they said my appointment was cancel and I had to make another one.   I made another one for a month later (as my work schedule permitted).   When I arrived at the appointment they told me I missed it and was an hour late.   I begged if I could just stay and wait ( I had to wait about an hour to see him usually anyway and he would only see me for about 5 minutes), because by this time my scalp was in so much PAIN and I was about to run out of the antibiotic.   He said no.  I continued to beg so the lady at the desk went and asked him three times for me and explained the situation and he still said no.  I even asked if I could just get a week's supply of the antibiotic just to hold me over until I could make another appointment because the pain was becoming unbearable.  He still said no. Then who I assumed was the office manager, a Latina woman, came out to speak to me. She was very rude. She lied to me and said he couldn't give me antibiotics without seeing me because of insurance policies. (The contrary was explained to me by other sources).  She even told me it wasn't their fault I didn't attend my previous appointment because their computers were down so basically the situation I was on was my fault.   I was so furious and shocked at the cold heartedness of these so-called medical professionals.  I felt like he was punishing me for "not being good with follow ups." I stormed out of the office and told the office manager I'd never return.   She said "good!"    I then started seeing a new dermatologist at Advanced Dermatology in Co-op City who remedied my issue in just one visit. read more

I've been going here for a few months, I started off with Jessie, who was incompetent & never gave me an actual prescription. I just kept getting samples, samples of things that not only made my skin worse but when I'd go in for a follow up I'd be told that they weren't for what I was using them on (ex- my face) & I'd sit there like "the last time I was here I followed the EXACT instructions I was given by the nurse". After a while I started seeing some other doctor, never cared to learn his name but he's Asian. Now we started with a whole new thing, I was given new things to put on my face, again things that further aggravated my problem ( let me add I barely know what my problem is considering the way they explain things is very vague). Each time I went for a follow up I'd get nowhere & each time I went in they wouldn't even know what I was there for or they'd be reading back to me information that was incorrect, having in their system that I'm taking medications that I blatantly had to state FIVE TIMES that I had to stop taking because I had gotten horrible reactions to them. Now comes the worst part, they prescribe you medications that will need authorizations and I've had incidents where I've went back and forth between my pharmacy and their office STRUGGLING to get a prescription THAT I NEED. As I'm typing this I'm having a terrible flare of of whatever skin condition they fail to thoroughly explain I have, & I was prescribed creams & once again it was not covered by my insurance so now I have to suffer once again until I get the situation sorted out. I had also went there complaining about my cuticles because the skin was literally just peeling off my fingers like a banana they dismissed it as nothing more than dry skin, the first time I was told it was a wart (and it wasn't). Finally after INSISTING that I'm having a MAJOR ISSUE then it came to light I had an infection in my cuticles, IT TOOK TWO MONTHS OF ME HAVING SWOLLEN CUTICLES AND PEELING SKIN TO GET THROUGH THEIR THICK HEADS THAT I HAD A PROBLEM. This place is terrible, they don't have the slightest clue what they're doing and half the time I believe they pull random ailments out of their ass because there were occasions where I was looked at for a SECOND only to be dismissed. Went to this clinic and had th worst experience of my life. I had mild acne and the PA gave me oral pills and I had the option of topical antibiotic as well so I opted for both. Not only the staff lied to me that the ointment is not covered by my insurance so I can only get pills, but they made me run into circles to pharmacy for the ointment that I found out they aren't going to me, when I called them the PA is like thats all I can do, you'll have to go for treatments that are not covered by your insurance like laser and rudely hung up on me, while I damn well know there are 10 different antibiotics available for acne. Save yourself time and money and in my opinion this clinic should be shut down for the lies they tell you. But if you are looking to go to a place for the definition of incompetency from the PA to staff where they don't know shit about patient education, offering the variety of treatments and not forcing patients to use a particular treatment, or addressing their concerns in a professional manner, be my guest. read more
