I wish I could give 3 and a half stars, because I feel that 3 stars is a little low for my rating but I'm comparing this diner to those in the Hudson Valley region and can't bear to give it 4 stars. It is decent enough, and its food isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. But imagination is the key word..... there is a significant lack of this on the menu and my feeling is that just because you are a diner, doesn't mean you have to serve only expected diner food. For pete's sake, they don't even have a patty melt on the menu! (which is standard greasy spoon diner fare....they had disco fries!!). I do like stopping here for a bite if I'm in the area (by the paramount, for instance), but it's not worth a trip out specifically. read more

We took our grandmother there for brunch. Food was mediocre and the waitress was grumpy. Maybe she was having a bad day? When we asked for an omelette to be made into a scramble she said they will, "if the can." Evidently stirring eggs it too difficult. After our subpar meal we ordered a malt from the dessert menu that had a clearly labeled section for Shakes and Malts and the waitress said they don't make them. We won't be going back. read more

About a year ago, there was a fly in my salad. NO JOKE. They gave it to me like this. Ever since then, I was skeptical to go here, but then after a while, the service was nice, and the food got better. Horrible Horrible Horrible! I would've been better at Subway, a Pizzeria, anywhere but here - sad to say. This used to be a very good diner with a fantastic location - once upon a time. That time is no longer :( I went with a group of 9 on a quiet Sunday afternoon. There were about 5 other tables there, so the bad experience was not due to them being busy. The new menu looked good and I wanted to try the new management. The service was terrible. The waiter was dull and inaccurate. I ordered an iced tea - got club soda. Ordered a vodka with pink lemonade - got just vodka and ice. Basic things. The food screamed cheap and frozen, yet, of course the price didn't reflect cheap or frozen. So the new owners want to charge 'fresh, high quality' food prices because it's Westchester, but serve 'shit, drive-thru' quality food to make a bigger profit? That logic will cause this diner to burn out quick because their customers will never return. Myself for starters. One of the worst parts was my guest ordered an entree and the waiter came back 20 mins later to say they did not have that particular entree!! My guest was annoyed, understandably, and it was too late to put in for another entree at that point. I was embarrassed as a host because I chose this damn place! $200 later I was extremely dissatisfied and embarrassed. I will never step foot in here again and I'll be sure to tell everyone I come across to go ANYWHERE EXCEPT HERE! Not as long as the current management remains. I want the old owners back!! This diner is clearly and hands down the worst in westchester. They can barely handle a CB deluxe ( and that's bad). So..... I told you so. Great diner. One of the best in Westchester. The menu is large, varied (Greek, Italian, American, Mexican) and the prices are fair. Great place to go if you don't know what you want. Kids love the electric train running over the serving station. Parking is plentiful. read more

This is a solid diner. Food is typical but well done. They have little staff turnover and I think that it says a lot about the business. Fries are always good, and so is the soda and the chicken croquettes. I liked the chicken francese. The service is always good and the staff is friendly. Went here and ordered shrimp Alfredo. I got a total of four small shrimp in my meal and a price tag of almost $17. No one here speaks English as a first language and when I asked about the different soups the man acted annoyed when I asked what one was that I did not recognize. Ordered a milkshake and the menu said that they bring out the "extras" in the tin like they always did in the past and when they brought mine out it was a small glass cup. It was more chocolate milk than ice cream and he did not know how to make a milkshake. I asked about the extras and he said they don't do that. The ice cream was $4.99. Save yourself the time, money, and disappointment. You'd get a better experience going to the McDonald's across the street. read more

Kind of disappointed in this place. I stopped with my boyfriend. We don't eat out a ton, so I usually order things we don't make often at home. He had a veggie burger and fries. Those were ok, but lackluster. However, I ordered the topped waffle. The topping was billed as sautéed apples with raisins. Sounds great right? But the waffle was under cooked commercial batter and the topping was cold apple pie filling from a can. Probably Comstock. No raisins. Wouldn't eat here again. read more

This used to be my favorite local diner. The food is simply amazing. Both my boyfriend and I used to eat there at least once a week. Some of my favorite menu items include, the Texas toast grilled cheese and the Greek salad. They make one of the best Greek salads I have ever had. Sadly, we no longer eat at this diner as the service has gone completely downhill over the last few months. They recently hired Spanish workers who barely speak a word of English. Ordering food is a chore at best. We had to speak very slowly and repeat our orders to the waitress and they still arrived messed up. It is a shame because there previous workers where fantastic. I will not be eating here again until they hire some English speaking staff. read more

This diner is quite frankly where an enjoyable meal goes to die. The staff seems completely disenchanted and there is a policy which staunchly prohibits any kind of order substitution WHATSOEVER! Even if you are willing to pay the higher price for something that by all rights is less expensive for the sake of getting what you want to eat, you are SOL if the combination of food you would like was not arbitrarily paired together on the menu. Personally, I do not like that many rules with my meal. It's diner food - you can get it literally ANYWHERE else AND get it in such a way that you will enjoy eating it. read more

My daughter and I both ordered a veggie omelette for a late breakfast. After taking one bite, she noticed a THICK PUBIC HAIR on her fork. It clearly was not a head hair. We should've caused a scene, but instead we stayed and they gave her scrambled eggs with bacon. We were so disgusted that we had lost our appetites by then. I kept checking my veggie omelette before eating only to discover bacon in my veggie omelette. I'm a vegetarian. We called the manager over and explained the pubic hair, the bacon in a veggie omelette and that we couldn't eat anymore. They still gave us a bill for coffee and juice we didn't drink. We were too disgusted! It was the place I usually enjoyed breakfast on a Sunday and the occasional dinner. I will never go there again and my daughter has warned her friends from the high school nearby. Not worth 5,4,3,2 or 1 star. If there was a zero that's what I would give it!
