Today I stopped off here, got the brisket entree, buffalo wings and italian dry rub wings. Brisket: Overcooked, the put on alot of sauce to coverup the overcooked meat. Not tender, it was like sauce on shoe leather. Buffalo wings: sauce was fine, good heat at the xxheat option, but the meat itself was dried out. Nothing to write home about. Dry Rub Italian: This was super boring, it was literally just wings with italian breadcrumbs on dried out meat. Waste of money. Overall: Not coming back. read more

I can't believe it took me this look to Yelp this Peekskill Gem. Peekskill has become a mecca of fantastic eateries in Westchester ( in my opinion and as reflected in the number of reviews I have done in Peekskill ) but the Firehouse Grill MUST be in that conversation. The staff is awesome, their whole vibe and concept is showing love and respect to all Blue Collar workers and First Responders. ( LEOs, FD, Teachers, RNs,...) Great place to watch a game or a fight and of course the FOOD....is Fantastic! The menu is extensive and very creative..for example I had their famous Chicken Scarp sandwich...YUMMM ! We met the most amazing waitress Alana. She was super attentive and welcoming for my fiance, infant daughter and I on our first visit to this establishment. Love this place!!!! Did takeout and ordered two burgers, wings and fried pickles. All amazing and burgers cooked perfectly!!! OMG, if you follow my reviews, getting a properly cooked burger is one of my biggest peeves!!! The inside of this place is very welcoming plenty of tables and a very nice bar area! the staff are just amazing. Back home after a decade, I was looking for a place with a large menu and plenty of local flavor. To say I found exactly that would be an understatement. I enjoyed a Gyro sandwich, which was well prepared. The meat was hot, juicy, and nicely spiced. The pita, lettuce, and tomatoes were fresh. My wife had barely bitten her Southwestern Chicken Wrap before announcing that she would definitely eat here again. Rib portion was huge and delicious.The platter included cornbread, fries (subbed tater tots), coleslaw.Everything was delicious and you can't beat the price.Leftovers for 2 days. On another occasion, I had the wings which were outstanding as well. Tom, our waiter, was friendly, knowledgeable, great sense of humor .We had fun talking to him. I feel like this place is so under rated. It's one of those places we're the locals meet up but is also great for new comers. The staff is really friendly and attentive. What's really crazy is that you can pick what kind of dining experience you want. You can have wings and beer or something sophisticated like salmon. Either way, you're in a relaxed environment. The food is absolutely delicious. I've never had a bad meal. We drove almost an hour to have dinner here. The food is really worth it. I had to try this place after 3 people from my hotel recommended them right away when asked about good, local food. Contrary to reviews I had read an hour before going, this place is a cozy, seat yourself locale where you will be greeted with a smile. Crystal was my serving professional with a rich NY accent and was very friendly, offering descriptions of some of their best food and didn't simply serve drinks and food then disappear. Idk, it might have been because it was a Saturday evening (busy time) but the wings that I ordered were not up to the quality I've heard people talk about. The buffalo wings I ordered came with absolutely no sauce. I ordered online and there was an option called "False Alarm" under the Buffalo section. I assumed that False Alarm would be considered to be "Mild" when thinking of Buffalo sauce! Just disappointed by this. The wings could've also been a little warmer and cooked more like I requested as well. In addition I also had Lemon Pepper wings, I wished it could've been coated more. Also disappointed over having to pay for my order all over again. After giving a call too! This was a situation where changes have to be made on their online ordering. If I'm already allowed to select "No heat" (which I didn't) that's when I wish for my wings to be dry with nothing on them. Regardless of my disappointment, the actual Chicken itself was good. The pork was tender and delicious, the cole slaw fresh and tasty and a lovely brioche bun. The waffle fries were stupendous. French Dip Thinly sliced rib-eye steak on a garlic wedge topped with Swiss cheese and served with au jus dipping sauce $14 Too much bread, and wound up eating out of it like a bowl. My friend and I decided to try firehouse grille while we were in Peekskill yesterday. I heard about it through the Elite Yelp group I am in. All I have to say is it is my new favorite place!! I ordered the macaroni and cheese fries and boneless wings with bbq sauce. Everything was sooo delicious!!! I'm a huge macaroni and cheese fan and this was definitely the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had!! Our waiter was really cool too. My friend got the brisket and said it was so moist and juicy, you can tell just by looking at it. She really enjoyed her meal! Updating my review since it's 8 years later. Picked up a delicious meal tonight for takeout: -- steak tacos (3) with rice -- Wolverine -- which is basically everything you could ask for on a roll (pulled pork, mac n' cheese, onion rings, bacon..... with sweet potato fries Both dishes were $15 and I was pretty amazed with how much food there was for that cost! The food was delicious and the staff at the door while I waited was so courteous. I will have to come back when COVID is over and I feel more comfortable with indoor dining. They change their specials on Friday and the owners just opened a new restaurant in the Somers/Baldwin Place area called Chicken Coop, which I can't wait to try since it's 5 minutes from my house! read more

Got off on the Peekskill Metro North and was looking someplace not too far and came across this grille. It was only 3-4 minutes away and we'll worth the trip. Started with the chili. It came with the colorful nachos but the chili was on point. It had the sweet savory taste with a little kick to it. We moved on to the Asian lettuce wraps. These wraps were so fresh. The lettuce was crispy and tasty. The accompanying Asian chicken, walnuts, and sauce were fantastic. We also tried the boneless teriyaki wings. They were crispy and the sauce was perfect. It wasn't too much, just right. As the food kept coming we realized we made a huge mistake because the portions are humongous!! Moving on to the steak burrito. It was big, tasty, and the meat was delicious. The steak tacos were also plentiful, full of meat , and delicious. We had the giant steak that was cooked perfectly and juicy. Heavenly. All the dishes in these pictures were amazing, delicious, and full portion sized. They even throw in a plastic fireman's hat for the little ones. I wore mine with pride. Great place. We've been here twice already and we are very impressed. From the food to the service, everything was great! Absolutely loved the way they decorated inside. They don't normally make a chocolate martini, but the bartender made me a fabulous one! For food, I ordered a Greek salad with Gyro meat on top, and my friend ordered A fish sandwich Panini. The food was great! My friend adored the fish sandwich, the tilapia was tender, and the panini was very crisp, with melting cheese oozing out of it. My Greek salad hit the spot, quite big with nice toasted pita points and tender gyro meat on top. It was perfect. Service was excellent, and we even got free entertainment! There was a fabulous magician named Phil who did some great tricks at our table. This I could see being a wonderful place to bring kids While mom and dad have a quality meal. Picked up take out and warmed it up at home. Half rack ribs and two different orders of wings. The half rack came with a very generous side of fries the wings were pretty good. Got the Buffalo 3 alarm (hot) and they were the right amount of hotness. Also tried the wizard? Cajun /teriyaki I think. Also good. They have 50 types of wings so it's a challenge choosing.
