Visiting in the area we decided to check out Fin & Brew. It was pretty empty since the weather was really bad. So we easily got a table. The hostess and server were both very friendly. The menu was smaller than we expected, but the items that we ordered were very tasty. We ordered a few things to try out. presentation and food were really good. We will be back when the warmer weather arrives and we can dine outside.

Another great dinner here. Food was great but the atmosphere is even better. Beautiful waterfront spot.

How is it that I haven't been to Fin & Brew before? I feel like it is such a lost opportunity. I'll have to make up for it going forward. And.... The view.... I had PEI oysters and little neck clams with horseradish, vinegar, lemon and was offered Tabasco by the chef. They were all very fresh and tasted great with perfect chews. I then had the beer mussels, which were cleaned well, cooked well, and had a great beer sauce. Definitely dip-worthy sauce. The sushi is like high-end NYC-quality sushi. I had a spicy tuna roll, which was fresh and had a kick. I was so impressed with the freshness, I decided to give them the real test by ordering Ikura sushi and Toro sushi. Both were spot on, great tension in the Ikura, and a meltiness with the toro. The beer selection was also well curated. I enjoyed my Timontorne maibock. The chef came out to speak with us and talk us through how they source and prepare the food. He was extremely passionate about his menu, the sushi, food quality, and whether we enjoyed the meal. I will definitely be going back, often. Service was attentive, friendly, and accurate. Remember to tip well!

We had the up in smoke and spiced Paloma (both could've used more smoke and spice) and the main squeeze (sort of old fashioned)

I just can't believe how every meal I have here is so delicious. Truly underrated gem! Another amazing meal tonight and we got to eat outside which was perfection.

It was a good decision to come by here. Great view from the top. We were blessed with beautiful weather on todays visit. The menu is quite limited. We came in during an after meal time meaning just right after our lunch. So we opted to go for light meal ...sushi, clams and sangria were worth the try. I have enjoyed the uniqueness of our food and drinks. Simple yet tasty. The staff is nice. The restaurant location is easy to find and has plenty of available parking. The Hudson view from the restaurant top is so beautiful. Will I go back? Yes , if we are in the area.

We needed some brunch/lunch on our drive up from NYC to Shokan, and I found this place on Yelp. The reviews don't lie; this restaurant is the BOMB. Also prIces are super reasonable, at least during brunch, and you get pretty good value on money. Chef Jon Anastacio is so friendly and came out to chat with us. Our server Kerri gave us excellent service. The restaurant was very accommodating to my food intolerance and triple checked to make sure I could eat everything. And they brought us extra baguette sticks for the seafood broth. Excellent experience overall - would come back.

Has reservations for 7:15pm. showed up at 7:22pm. Was told we could sit at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. As we waited at the bar, we noticed a couple of people that came after us were seated before us, and they had later reservations. We had to make the host aware that we were still waiting and that she was seating people before us. As for the food. It was sub-par for the prices. Very sub-par. Granted, I will say that their Bordeaux was very good. But as for the food, I asked for a medium steak, and I received medium rare. The steak was very chewy. The side of potatoes was an extra $14. So I didn't order those, thankfully. The appetizer (pork belly stir fry) was good, that's about it. The desert was just ok I probably won't be back for the food. This place doesn't have many options of fish, btw.

After getting boxed out of New Years Eve dinner from Tarrytown north, my small group found Fin and Brew in Peekskill in far northern Westchester on the Hudson River. While we could not enjoy the Hudson River views on the stormy foggy night, we could enjoy our fantastic last dinner of 2022. Mike, the Executive Chef who came out to introduce himself at the end of his artfully prepared five course dinner received high praise from the four of us. Also compliments on his original and yummy cocktails! We will definitely return to sample more of Mike's delectable food!

The atmosphere felt festive and welcoming, perfect for celebrating the holiday with my family. The buffet offered a great variety of options, including traditional Easter favorites like carved ham and lamb, prime rib along with a nice selection of sides, salads, and hot main dishes. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and the staff did an excellent job keeping the stations fully stocked throughout the evening. The food was delicious! One of the highlights was the dessert table, which had an impressive assortment of sweets--something for everyone to enjoy. My favorite was the chocolate peanut bombs! The presentation across the buffet was clean and inviting, making it easy to go back for seconds (or thirds!). The service was attentive. Our waitress made sure we had our drinks refilled. I will be going back for sure. Looking forward to what they will offer for Mother's day!

This might be just the taste, but nobody at our table liked them. Also - and this seems to be the specialty of the house - they were not particularly warm. We also ordered the nachos with the brisket chili. The plate was huge and the nachos were pretty good. Unfortunately, the chili was largely a rumor. Now for dinner. Oh boy. First the staff, including our waitress, brought us food for another table. We didn't realize it right away, because the other table ordered a couple of items we did. Then we did get our food. We had a couple of the brisket grilled cheeses. These were tasty, but again, with precious little meat in them, and not hot. We had a smash burger order - COLD. Two mushroom truffle burgers - also cold and one was severely undercooked. We were going to a show so we suffered with it. The fries were a hit by the way. I ordered the salt caramel gelato. I've had similar many times. This was overly salty. I was very excited to go here, but unfortunately, quality flew the coop at Birdsall.

If that's your thing, then 4+ stars! Will also give a big thumbs up to the decor -- loved what was on the walls and the floors looked like they'd recently been redone. Various dishes our group had included a breakfast sandwich with sausage; an omelette, which was probably the healthiest option of what folks got; a cheeseburger; someone else got a French dip kind of sandwich. French fries were fought over -- so also a thumbs up for them. Again, I was the outlier in our group and in other reviews so I do plan to return to give it another chance. Check out the menu and other reviews and maybe you'll give it four or more stars!

The restaurant was extremely busy and clearly understaffed -- there were only two servers working incredibly hard. Service was definitely slow, but I give them a lot of credit for doing their best under the circumstances. They were very gracious and even brought us a complimentary drink to apologize for the wait, which was a really nice touch. Despite the delays, the food was excellent. The nachos were great, the French dip and chicken sandwich were both very good, and honestly, the fries were some of the best I've ever had. We also tried their house-made beer, which was delicious. One thing to note is the layout of the restaurant. It's right next to (and partially within) the arcade, so it can get very loud with lots of kids running around and yelling. I can definitely see the appeal for parents -- being able to eat and have a drink while keeping an eye on their kids is a big plus. For those without kids or looking for a quieter, kid-free night, it's just something to be aware of. That said, I'd love to come back in the summer and sit on the outdoor deck along the water.
