I also got married at Beckwith Point on 6/20/15 and used this place. Danny is a really awful person. For some reason, WFD drew up two different contracts for us, and then used the outdated one for our event. When we got the flowers, they were not what we were expecting. I had told them NO ROSES in my bouquet, and got a bouquet entirely of white roses and was charged the premium top fee for it (when roses are the cheapest, a quote from their own staff). The bridesmaid bouquets were wilting, and the corsages were orchids when I asked for roses...it was like we received someone else's flower order! We contacted WFD immediately when he flowers were delivered and Danny told my husband, "what do you expect me to do, order new flowers from Israel and put together a whole new order in two hours? Because that's not going to happen." Sorry, I don't run a business, but I'm sure that's not how you should be addressing an unhappy client who handed over thousands for you to do a great job. We asked them for a $100 credit and they laughed at us and would not give it. A really sad, and pathetic outcome to our contract with them. read more

He started by asking us how we wanted our reception to look like and we rolled backwards from there. He cares about his product and presentation and wants everything to be perfect. The flowers themselves were gorgeous and everything we imagined, but the staff is very responsive and honest with us about the reality our flower choices for the time of year of our wedding. Well lets see- spent 4 mths researching flowers-maybe tw o actually made it into my arrangements! Table centerpieces were suppose to have cascading greenery-not cauiflower balls with filler cheap hydrangea that wilt in less than 6 hours- none tea roses for groomsman boutineres were half dead; brides bouquet was to be whimsical and cascading- totally not attitude of service totally all about money rather than quality. I am not the biggest lover of flowers and relayed that to Danny during our meeting and he helped me through every step of picking flowers. From start to finish, I could not be more happy with choosing Westchester Floral for my March, 2104 wedding!!! At my first meeting with Danny, I could tell how passionate he is about his work and about giving me and my husband a gorgeous event. He patiently and expertly walked us through our entire wedding and went over every little detail (including plenty of details I hadn't even thought of). I was so impressed with his depth and bredth of knowledge and his ability to take our very abstract ideas and turn them into a clear vision. His attention to detail is impeccable, and I knew from the beginning that I was in very capable hands. On my wedding day, I was truly blown away by how gorgeous our flowers were. The first thing I saw were the personal flowers--Danny had added pins from my and my husband's grandmothers to the ribbon holding my bridal bouquet (just one of the many special little touches throughout the event). The ceremony space was beautiful and romantic and filled with flowers, including our amazing chuppah as the centerpiece. We were able to see our reception space alone before the guests entered and it took my breath away. The centerpieces were more spectacular than I had imagined (and believe me, I had imagined some pretty spectacular centerpieces). Our cake was covered in clusters of flowers that matched my bouquet. There were small elegant pops of color, soft romantic candles, and beautiful details filling the entire room. Throughout the night the feedback from my guests was amazing. AMAZING! I got married at Beckwith Pointe in New Rochelle on 6/20/15. Danny was incredible during every step of the planning process - even as details changed along the way. He has a true gift and creates art from floral displays. On the day of my wedding the weather was uncertain and I was doing my best to move forward with an outdoor ceremony. After agreeing to deliver flowers as late as possible so that the forecast would hopefully solidify, the team proceeded to set up inside, then move outside at my direction, and then move back inside due to my weather prediction being unfortunately mistaken. Through all of the changes, the team never complained and I really felt that everyone wanted to see the outdoor ceremony happen if at all possible. I did not have a great experience with this business. If you can find another florist, please do!! They actually delivered my bouquet with white roses that were dried out at the tips and the whole time I was holding the bouquet at the ceremony I was making sure that the parts where the roses were pretty were showing towards the photographer. Also, the two arrangements they made at the sweetheart table was NOT what I asked for...I know that some people love willow branches, but I hate them (it just isn't my style). My heart sank to my stomach when I saw the two arrangements filled with willow branches.... Now it's in all of the pictures. I am not sure where the miscommunication started here but when I called them a couple days after my wedding, Vicki refused to listen to me and blamed me for the bouquet and insisted that she was right and that the two arrangements for the sweetheart table were beautiful... but shouldn't they deliver what the customer asked? Vicki, was not pleasant to talk to and she refused to do anything about what happened. I have had a much better experience at other places, so if you can, please go some where else! PS. Danny was the only one who asked about the venue and season I was getting married in and after a few questions he threw his ideas at me and I signed the contract!! We chose to go with Westchester Floral as it was one of the recommended vendors through our venue. I was happy overall with their service. They do nice work arranging flowers and creating arrangements. However, if I were to chose again, I probably would have gone with a different florist. This is mainly because of the setup of this florist. I worked with Artie, who was very sweet. However, they really don't have any flowers at the location. I was hoping to go there and give them a general idea of my style and vision, and have them pull out some flowers that fit that style and give me some examples. However, I had to actually ask for any type of pictures of visuals before they showed me even that. I gave them many pictures of exactly what I wanted, and when they set up my centerpiece sample, because the person I worked with was not the same people who created the actual arrangements were not the same, there was a hiccup in communication and the completely wrong centerpiece sample was created. I live an hour away from the florist and drove all the way there for virtually nothing as they had to create another sample appointment for me. They did apologize profusely, but I feel that it would have been appropriate that they comped something for me since it was completely their fault and was a major inconvenience and source of stress for me. Because of the lack of flowers in the place for them to show me (they would just write down ideas and now seeing that without an explicit image for them of what I wanted there was a chance they would create something different that would get lost in communication), the next time I came with very detailed notes and exact pictures of everything I wanted. This led to my flowers being very nice and consistent with my vision, but I do feel that I had to do 99% of the floral planning in order for this to happen. Finally, my groom showed a picture to them of the boutonniere he wanted - a simple rose with 2 shamrocks. They put it down in the notes and never said it could not be done, but apparently it couldn't because on the day of the wedding they gave him a plain rose with no shamrocks and not even any attempt of anything to look like two shamrocks (I have seen it done with 2 green hydrangea buds as well but they did not even try to do this). All in all, I would say that although Artie was very sweet and they did finally create attractive arrangements, the lack of organized communication there along with the lack of actual flowers there in order to work with clients and show them visuals of their visions leads me to give Westchester Floral Decorations an unfavorable rating. read more
