Amazing service from Auckland to Houston IAH…read more So nice to be able to fly directly home after an amazing journey to Australia and New Zealand to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and fulfill my dad's lifelong dream of visiting Australia. After visiting New Zealand, I learned that Kiwis are among the warmest, kindest people that I have met on my global travels. Genuinely so willing to share their love of their country and their love of others. From initial phone calls to Air New Zealand to get a wheelchair accommodation for my octogenarian dad to inflight service, it was really a trip home that I will never forget. Thanks especially to Deborah B as well as the rest of the cabin crew who kept our family well taken care of with food, drinks, extra clean bathrooms and more. So sweet, so kind and so professional. Loved the extra leg rest in my seat. So comfy for the long haul. Great to be able to charge my phone and enjoy free WiFi. Definitely would fly Air New Zealand again if given the choice!! Hint: Lord of the Rings is a movie option. Perfect when you just visited Hobbiton a few days earlier.

During the entire time on the plane. We were only offered drinks one time. If you asked for something the workers looked at you like you were this awful person and would take an hour just to to bring you the drink. Then the plane wasn't the same one they show on their website where you can choose settings and my little cousin who is 5 was seated in the back of the plane while the rest of the family was in the front we told them and they said that because it was a different plane we would have to wait and see if we could switch him. Again he is 5 years old. He can not sit by himself on the plane. We also paid for extra leg room because my uncle is almost 7 feet tall. We never got that extra leg room. We spoke to them about that too and all they said was okay. They never apologized for anything they never offered to fix it. Then on the way home my family was heading from Dallas to Houston, we got to the Dallas airport and went to the terminal that was said on the screen. About 10 minutes from when our flight was suppose to leave the screen above the read Monterrey Mexico. So we ran up the workers and asked what terminal we were suppose to go to, she said she didn't know because she was suppose to be on the Houston flight as well and wasn't told anything. We then proceed to ask another woman who looks it up. Once we reached the correct terminal with 2 minutes to spare we look and there's no plane in sight of the terminal. A man then informs everyone that the plane needed a little maintenance done then it would be ready and it would take no longer than 10 minutes. Well in what was suppose to be 10 minutes I got a nice hour long nap. Went to Starbucks for 30 minutes and then went for a nice walk through the airport. That "10" minutes turned into a 2 and a half hour wait. They never once apologized for the inconvenience either. Honestly I wish I could give them a lower score than 1 star because that's how bad they treated us and how bad the whole situation was. So yeah, let's just say I'll never fly American again.

The flight attendants were gorgeous and nice enough to take a picture with me! I have only traveled to Jamaica internationally as an adult and it was a very good experience to use Emirates. My only 2 complaints are the whole bag weight/fee and when I got on the plane there were two different attendants giving me conflicting information! The whole max 25kg thing (55 LBS) when you are on a military orientated flight was kind of frustrating. Just an FYI it's $50 if you go over. Also, they won't even let you bring the bag on if it is more than 32kg (70 LBS). Your carry on bag must weigh less than 7 KG (15 LBS). They won't let you on the plane if it is more! The flight was long but there are plenty of movies and I didn't buy it but there was wifi I believe. All in all, if you fly Emirates.... Especially first class it is definitely worth it. Make sure you check in early the line gets really long!

This toll-free support line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing assistance with reservations, flight changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, refund requests, and other travel-related services. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. An agent helped us with our luggage because there is a weight limit of 40 pounds not 50 like other airlines. I was bringing back luggage I had intended to keep in Chicago but things changed. She helped us with tagging and getting us through the process through our phone to avoid the $25 agent fee. When it came time for my friend to get a wheelchair, we waited an hour and were told to get walking because we would miss our flight. My friend is 73 years old with spinal stenosis. We had to rush to get through security which took forever for her since she wasn't in a wheelchair and I have TSA pre check. She told me she was almost in tears because she didn't know where I was. Needless to say we barely made it to the gate on the other side of the airport where everyone had already started to board. As far as flying everything was great and we got in to Houston early. I would give 5 stars but because of the wheelchair fiasco I won't.

My main "put off" was the old, dirty, worn, "ridden hard and put away wet" planes that we had... especially he ROC to CLT flight. I used the restroom and couldn't believe how gross it was. Parts of the trim were peeling off, just looked overly used and icky. American's planes were like night and day from the crisp, new and flashy Delta planes we had on our flights to Rochester. Then there's the technology or lack there of. Delta had fancy touch screens in each headrest allowing you to watch movies, play games, etc. American Airlines did have free entertainment that you had to access through your phone/tablet but there was an issue with trying to get it. On our last flight, the guy sitting next to me helped me get to the entertainment but after that, HE kept getting kicked off his. He kept trying the entire flight and got so frustrated, he quit trying. (I felt bad bc he helped me and I was able to watch a movie and there he was, struggling the whole time.) I got kicked off once but was able to get back on but it was still annoying. Never had issues with Delta. AA had fold out phone/tablet holders and usb charging ports on our second flight. Meh. No refreshments. Wow. I know airlines are getting stingier and stingier but holy moly! When waiting at the gate in Rochester, the gate attendant states over the loud speaker that they will not be serving any snacks/drinks on the flight and that if you wanted something, you needed to get it in the terminal to bring on the plane!! Whoa! The second flight did offer pretzels and a drink but honestly it was super off-putting to not offer anything on that first flight. I wasn't able to get e-tickets to have on my phone so we didn't have to worry about paper tickets. When I checked myself and my 4 year-old in the day prior, it offered digital tickets if you put in your email. So I put in my email for both me and my son... oh, they can't send them to the same email. So apparently, a 4 year-old needs their own email account to be able to get an e-ticket. SO STRANGE!!! Saw that there was an offer for airline credit in you give up your seat. Was tempting BUT I wasn't wanting to fly with them again anyways and we just wanted to get home. Flight attendants weren't overly friendly but they weren't terrible either. Checked bag cost us $30. All in all, American Airlines was completely different than our Delta experience. I won't seek out AA. We WILL be flying Delta again!!

Every single gate agent at the terminals was nasty and unhelpful. Particularly a woman named Shakira, whose hips probably lie like her mouth does. When my flight was rebooked, I asked if she could assign me a new seat she told me straight up to my face that she can't see the Dallas flight she only handles Houston ones. Strangely enough the only helpful woman there WAS able to look it up and even assigned me the seat in the same class I was in on my canceled flight. Shakira's little friend, who knows her name they all had their name tags covered, (I asked Shakira for her name) also treated me with disdain and like she had no time for me, in fact in the middle of our conversation (about my Dallas flight before the other lady stepped in to help) she started other tasks and once she finished those, WALKED AWAY. Walked AWAY. While I've been standing at the counter right in front of her face for at least 20 minutes. When I said to the other woman standing there that had already gone through 4 people behind me that she was helping me and just left... she said oh she must have forgot. She must have forgot? So she helped me and said woman returns she says to her... you forgot about her and she's like "yea she was talking about a voucher yadda yadda yadda" so you didn't like me inquiring about what every single other person is inquiring about when you cancel flights so you choose to ignore me and WALK AWAY?? Fast forward to this morning after having been up for 28 hours now, arrive to the airport to ANOTHER DELAYED FLIGHT. Supposed to leave at 825 now scheduled 905 meaning I will miss a chance for a flight I was first on the standby list for. I now will have a 10 hour layover in Phoenix because it's the best they could get me after the flight delays/cancelations. I said good morning to the gate agent do you know why this flight is delayed? Crew rest. Ok cool can you see if there are any flights out of Phoenix to Reno since I will miss the 10 am one? NO. She will not. Oh ok cool. Thanks for nothing American Airlines workers at IAH.
