We will never eat here again. Not only was the food disappointing, but our experience with the manager, Jerry, was completely unacceptable. Jerry was the one who seated us, and while showing us to our table, he made a comment implying that because I am a "bigger" girl, he could make adjustments for me to fit in a booth. The comment was unnecessary, inappropriate, and frankly embarrassing. I fit in the booth just fine and did not ask for any accommodations. Over a decade ago, there was a Western Sizzlin in California near my house that was good. I was excited to see there was one by my hotel. I should have looked at the reviews. They are extremely accurate. Food is mediocre at best. Prime rib was advertised on billboard, but it was just a few slices that looked like jerky. Service was probably slightly worse than the food. The price was also atrocious for what we got with the bad food and Service. We had a coupon that was $1 off each adult, but the cashier said it was only 1 total. While I am looking forward to returning to Pigeon Forge one day, I know I won't return to this buffet. read more

I thought is was the Western Sizzler steakhouse from back in the day. It wasnt. But this place seemed intriguing enough so we gave it a try. Many options to choose from on the buffet. Great fresh salad bar (plate #1). Plate #2 had all my meats on it from grilled chicken, ribs, prime rib, shrimp pasta, fried chicken steak. Plate #3 had the sides from veggies to sweet potato casserole and a baked potato from the potato bar. Plate #4 was my 2nd trip and plate #5 was for dessert. The food was good until it wasn't. The kids area was COMPLETELY empty and our server's bandaid was in my granddaughters drink!! Glad we got a refund but that is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! Never eating her again. Not to mention, our server had said to the manager he had lost his bandaid but didn't inform his costumers. read more

The staff were very nice along with the manager when we asked for a refund. The food was unappetizing and concerning, I hate to say that I had to make sure I knew where the bathroom was incase I got sick. The meatballs were not terrible but that was probably the only good thing I ate, but that's all I got to before we unfortunately asked for a refund. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming even though the atmosphere was unsettling and felt like a fever dream they were pleasant, they happily gave us our money back. We got there around noon on a Saturday. All of the meat we tried was dried out, even the meatloaf in the gravy. The food was absolutely some of the worst we've ever had. Staff didn't keep up with clearing dishes from our table, so we ended up stacking our plates on the table behind us. They never spoke a word when filling our drinks. When we left, none of the employees made eye contact, asked us how our meal was, or even thanked us. They must have known they wouldn't like the answers. read more

My husband and I stopped at Woodgrill Buffet in Pigeon Forge, TN 12/20 before hitting the shops for some Christmas shopping. I must say it was disgusting. Let's start at the cashier. She was far from polite and inviting. When she spoke it was almost a whisper and when I asked her to repeat it, she was snippy with me. Eating here was a HUGE mistake. It looks nice and upscale from the outside, but inside is cheap and cheesy. This is the worst buffet I have EVER been to. Tilapia should not be swimming after they are dead and cooked, yet here they are, kept in a fish tank of water, oil, butter, and herbs. The hot wings were the saltiest thing I have EVER tried in my life. The garlic toast is literally dollar store white bread with a dab of butter. The dessert bar had absolutely nothing labeled, except a sign saying sugar free cookies were in the center. So I took a guess and grabbed a plate that looked to possibly be banana pudding. I ate half of it, realizing it was NOT banana pudding, and had to ask a server -- it was sugar free coconut pie. I have an extreme food sensitivity to sugar free items as they are usually made with sugar alcohols/alternatives, which means I had to immediately stop eating and will likely be very ill later. The server we had did an outstanding job, always attentive, always clearing our plates immediately, refilling our drinks, asking how things were, and when I expressed my disappointment in the food, she offered fresh made alternatives or to speak with the manager. I declined the latter, because I used to be a server and I make a point to never be "that" kind of customer, and tipped her 23% as it is the holidays and she likely has to tip out the bussers too. This restaurant would do better if they narrowed down the offerings to ONE type of food and made that ONE type the highest quality possible. Until it does, the Sunliner Diner is directly across the street -- we ate there twice this week, their food is absolutely some of the best food we've ever eaten. Went here yesterday 10/29/25 with my husband. We used to go here when we visited thru the years and noticed last year it was not very good. But since it used to be a favorite we figured maybe it would be better especially since it's so expensive. I got steak and a piece of baked chicken and carrots. The steak tasted like pure Worcestershire sauce like it had soaked in it. I could not even swallow it. I was immediately done with that. So I thought surely the baked chicken would be good......NO! It was so dry it would about choke you. So I tried the carrots and once again disappointed. Tasted like sugar was dumped in them. I'm highly disappointed in this place. I can't believe they get away with selling this awful stuff at this price! I'm shocked they are still open. It's extremely expensive we paid over 60.00 for the two of us and I got water. My husband was just as disappointed with his food. We left a good tip because it was not the waitress's fault. But whoever owns this place, you need to seriously do some digging to see what is going on with this restaurant. It needs serious help. The food is horrible. The lights were not even all turned on. The wall murals are starting to get waves towards the bottom and are starting to fade. The only thing I saw that improved inside this restaurant were the booths have been updated and that is it. We will not return and we will make sure our family members do not waste their money or time here. I'm giving it 1 star because it's the least I can leave. Awful. If we ignore the horrible food for a minute, breakfast ends at 10:30- they start putting it away at 10 and start putting out lunch... but will get snippy with you if you try to get that food. Going back to the food- it was almost inedible. I ended up eating two pieces of toast- the only reason I got to eat was because they set out the salads right as we were leaving. The biscuits were all burnt and cold. The bacon was either under cooked or burnt- but all covered in a thick layer of grease. The pancakes were very pitiful and gross. Overall- not worth $20.... The breakfast buffet is what we came for and it wasn't busy at all we paid at the front and walked to the buffet area were you see only the middle was being used for the breakfast buffet. We got our plates and started to grab some food. They had all the breakfast food you'd be looking for but it was the quality that deceived me. The bread and pancakes were whimpy the French toast sticks were the ones you buy in the frozen section but deep fried. biscuits and gravy were dry but the gravy helped, the bacon and sausage was fine the gas browns and potatoes were good, they also have a guy there making omelette so that was nice.
