Cautions: look at prices before you come - don't get sticker shock. Don't fill on salad or chicken/sausage, lean on the beef though the chicken was the best prepared when we visited. We didn't care for the lamb this visit. Prepare how the service works - you have a card that is red on one side and green on the other. Green side up means you want more meat. A server will come around with one choice at a time. Either take some, or not. The small tongs are for picking up your serving from the server. Do try the pineapple, it's very good. I'm wheelchair bound and they were very accommodating though it was tight in places. They are fully accessible. It was crowded when we visited so a touch loud at times. For my fancy birthday dinner while visiting Pigeon Forge (I told you all in one review that I had many of these haha), I chose Gaucho Urbano. When we arrived, we were greeted nicely and sat earlier than our reservation time. Immediately, I noticed that I was overdressed...everyone was in casual clothing. But that's okay, it is a tourist destination after all. Our waitress was very nice but hardly ever came over to us. There was another waiter who kept refilling my husband's soda without him asking which was awesome! Unfortunately, no one asked if I wanted another cocktail...so I only had one for my birthday dinner which was not the plan (and no, I wasn't showing any signs on slight intoxication, so it wasn't about being cutoff at one). The meat was plenty and it was very good. We both upgraded to the premium menu. However, it was when we got to the end of dinner that we waited for the pineapple to come. I saw it but it never came to our table because it ran out so quickly. Someone asked if we were waiting for something and we said we'd like the pineapple. Pineapple comes out, they go to the table next to us with a large party and they all got multiple pieces and bam. Pineapple was gone again. Three more waiters asked if we were waiting for something and we said the pineapple. 20 minutes later of seeing everyone else get the pineapple when we were requesting it was irritating for sure. It finally came out and then it was another 30 or so minutes to get our waitress to hand us the bill. Service is painfully slow here. The next morning, I woke up to get ready for Dollywood and what do you know? I'm sick from something the night before. And I know it wasn't from my one drink. Will I come back? I came here for the first time during a very busy event weekend and I was very impressed. I was able to make a reservation almost immediately and adjust it when my Lyft ride was running late. I chose to do the premium package and really enjoyed it. Almost everything I tried was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staff was excellent about still coming by to tell me what they had even if my card was on red which I appreciated because I didn't miss out on anything. The cold bar wasn't the most impressive to me for a Brazilian steakhouse and I only took watermelon from it but the hot sides were excellent. I loved the Au gratin potatoes and the pea and carrot stew mixture. Even though it was just me, the staff was just as accommodating and never let me feel neglected or ignored. For what you pay, and the all you can eat factor this is a great experience if you want to try a bunch of meats and maybe try something new. read more

For context, I've been to Fogo de Chão in the past, and while there isn't one nearby, here's how Gaucho compares: Soups: Gaucho has more variety (about four, including lobster bisque). I didn't try them, but for those who enjoy soup alongside the meats, it's a nice option. Salad Bar: Not as big as Fogo's, but similar staples like heart of palm and pasta salad are there. Fewer charcuterie items overall. Meats: We chose the full experience (there's also a sampler option with fewer cuts). Several meats were very good, but the steak shoulder was the standout--rich flavor, tender, and served in small slices that you can keep requesting. Service: Excellent. Staff checked in constantly, making sure we always had what we needed. Honestly, more consistent than the service I've experienced at Fogo. Overall, Gaucho holds its own. Fogo de Chão may have better decor, but the attentive service and quality of the meats make it a great choice in the area. read more

Came here last night for the first time. I've been to several Brazilian steakhouses they are my favorite. This one the meat had great flavor. Was surprised they didn't have any seafood such as salmon or shrimp. The service was just ok. Took a while for someone to bring us the check. This was a pretty good experience overall. The meat selections were tasty, but like all Brazilian steakhouses it's like pulling teeth to get them to bring ribeye around. They keep bringing by cheaper cuts like sausage and chicken and we just keep saying no, no, no, no. It took ages to get a decent amount of meat we actually liked. They only brought our favorite pineapple twice and by the time they got to our table almost all of the cinnamon was already cut off the outside, so that was disappointing. Same thing happened the second time pineapple came around. Almost no cinnamon left. Salad bar was ok but some of the vegetables had gone a bit flabby. I enjoyed the parmigiano they had cut from a huge wheel. The soups were not very good. One tasted like it was several days old or at least many hours. I would skip the soup next time or try one of the ones I didn't try last time. Overall, it was good enough that we will return. I struggled with whether to give them three or four stars, but I settled on four because the service was excellent and it pushed the experience higher than the food. read more

It was his first time experiencing a Brazilian steakhouse, and as a steak lover, he was genuinely impressed--especially with the quality and flavor of the meats. While I've always enjoyed their cold bar, it wasn't quite his favorite part. However, he really liked the polenta and mashed potatoes served at the table. I personally loved the bacon-wrapped chicken, smoked sausage, and of course, the steak. The puff bread they bring to the table is absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. A couole of weeks ago a friend ate at this restaurant on a Saturday evenng. To be fair they were busy however management was not doing a good job making sure the gauchos were doing a good job of ensuring all of the meats were being distributing equally. The main items that came constantly around our area were the garlic bread, pineapple, sausage and chicken legs (I.e the cheaper items on the menu). There were several meats we never saw come around. our waitress asked us once if there was something and we asked for the chicken and the bacon wrapped filet. I think they finally brought the chicken several minutes later. The gauchos didn't seem like they knew what sections to go to or in any certain assigned pattern. I sent a note via their contact us option on their website and never received a response. At this point I do not want to hear from them weeks later. read more

Lovely dining room, modern design. Staff were very attentive, service was great. We got the "Gaucho Experience" for $54.50. The reviews on here were a bit mixed but our experience was fantastic. Our servers, Brittany and another girl, asked if we had all of the meats and if we had any special requests. We had missed the beef ribs, pork chops and we requested the fillet without bacon. Brittany and the other server ensured we got everything. The sides were great with the Polenta being my favorite. Of the meats, the Lamb Chops were amazing and a big hit with the family. Went for Valentine's Day and let me tell you they were either severely understaffed or they didn't plan accordingly. We had a 9pm reservation and went sat until 10:15 PM. The hostess took a cash bribe from someone to get sat earlier than those who had been waiting, which was really infuriating. The service was great. Felt rushed since we were getting sat 30 mins to close. I wasn't offered all the meat they advertised (despite paying for it). The food was really good too but only the meat. I've also been to many of these kinds of restaurants around the country and this one is one of the VERY BEST! We were seated promptly upon arrival with our reservations and the side dishes were brought to our table immediately. We found the extra hot bar a great addition to the salad bar. We enjoyed items on both. The servers and gauchos were GREAT. Much better than the other Knoxville area Brazilian steakhouse. We got everything we wanted and then some. Checked in for our reservation early. About an hour after our reservation time, we had received an email stating our reservation had been canceled. We questioned each of the multiple hosts, whom all gave separate excuses in regards to our wait. After an hour and a half, we were finally seated. Table for 2, both chose the full experience. By this time, half of the tables were empty. Green cards showing on the table the entire time we were seated and we were only offered the same 3 meats a few different times. Chicken was burnt and dry, lamb chops were mediocre, and the garlic steak was very tough/rubbery. We were not offered any other meat that was listed on the menu/website. We waited another 20 minutes or so to see if we would have an opportunity to try something else, which did not happen. We chose to end our dinner and go elsewhere. After making that decision, we could not even get our check in a timely manner. We had to go find our waitress and retrieve our own check so we could pay our bill. However, that didn't detract from the experience (nobody goes to a Brazilian Steakhouse for the soup anyway). For drinks, there are lots of choices, but get their premium Caipirinha. You're not going to regret it. And don't be cheap - this is a night to splurge so you'd better expect to spend $60 to $70 per person. All the people in this place were so kind and generous. The food was just as heavenly. They did not disappoint with all their different cuts. The filet mignon wrapped and unwrapped with bacon topped my charts. If you're feeling risky add some of the pineapple that they are passing around to your mouthful and you will be left seeing fireworks. The harvest bar and chefs table did not disappoint either. It's the best one I've come around. The only topic I think this place could improve on is their lamb. Me and my partner agreed that the lamb was a little gamey. Of course, we know some people like that! But if you're not into it, I would advise to skip if you're presented with it. Paid for the main meal plan with all the meats. Don't recall seeing them but by then I was in a meet coma. Here's a tip. If you are going to the salad bar, don't fill up on it. Just get a tiny amount. As soon as you sit down with your salad plate the meat will start coming. Get the grilled pineapple. It was so good. Meats were cooked very well. Some were not seasoned to my liking. The restaurant needs to have a chest sheet of the meats so you can give them a rating and know which meats you want instead of taking every selection that comes. This a Brazilian Style restaurant. Overall service & food are ok at best, except for the bar that was great!. We were a party of 6 and we all ordered the top menu that includes all cuts available however if you pay attention and compare what they bring to the cuts listed on the menu they short change left and right. They repeat the same cuts and serve you lots of various filling appetizers. Once they started picking up the plates I brought the issue to their manager. He apologized and said I should have told them b4. I said why should I do that when we ordered the full menu? It should be a given we'd be served the top menu. He said let me see what I can do. When I got the check it was the full bill. I went to see the manager and a new manager came out. His name is Junior. He was the most rudest person I had ever dealt with in a restaurant (and I'm in the service industry). Argumentative, rude, yelling, calling me names and telling me that I go there often and complain the same (the last time I visited that restaurant was more than a year ago). This not where it stops. I paid and removed the "tip" in front of him. He was furious. I wrote the total clearly with a pen. Fast forward 1 week and my CC statement showed the total plus the tip. . I called and they reversed the transaction immediately. Moreover they had my bill in front of them apparently waiting for my call. I normally take my teams out for dinner when I'm in town.
