Food bar looked disgusting so we ordered off the menu.. The wifey got the croissant chicken salad sandwich with fries and I got the Nashville Spivey chicken sandwich with fries. Waitress was friendly and immediately took our drink order and came back within seconds and we ordered. Food came out within 10 minutes nice and hot.. so was the spice on the chicken Wow!! Almost too much and a little over cooked..chicken salad was excellent though..

One thing we really appreciated is that if it's your birthday, they give you a 25% discount, which was a great surprise and made the occasion even better. Our whole family had a wonderful time. Our 6-month-old daughter, Genesis, had a blast chewing on the ribs, and our one-year-old son, Titus, ate everything on his plate and clearly loved every bite! Thank you to everyone at Austin's Steak House for helping make my wife's birthday so memorable. Be prepared they almost always have a weight come dinner time. They told us about a 25 minute wait but it really only you landed up like maybe 10 minutes for two people and a baby. It's very busy inside. You'll have to step around people a lot, but I feel like that's common for a buffet. Food was constantly being brought out and was nice and hot. I absolutely love their chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, and their green beans the mac & cheese was extremely watery and not that great and we were super disappointed in the steaks. They just tasted like fake or kind of gamy. Wasn't a fan of that, but there was definitely plenty of food to choose from and desserts! Our server was super sweet and made sure to refill our drinks and take our dirty plates often Overall, I think the food was good, especially for the price and there's a ton of options. It is a bit loud because tables are very close together. But again that just has a lot to do with the fact that it is a buffet place. Overall, I would say that it's like a golden corral on steroids

Parking is tight. 2:30 Sunday afternoon and there is a line. It's dark. It's old. It's cramped. It's packed. Pay as you enter at some booth that looks like a fortune teller would be sitting in it. If the fortune teller was indeed there- they would say you are about to be forever changed. We paid- got seated- and headed to the buffet. Holy guacamole Batman. It's tight and crowded. They had prawns or maybe crawfish- missus loved them. They had shrimp. Fried fish looked rough. They had everything you can find in a Chinese food place. They had miles of noodles, piles of egg rolls and dumplings and spring rolls. They had ice cream and cookies and desserts. They had cakes and puddings and yes- a salad or three. If you got to a buffet and eat a salad- you got issues I can't fix. The final test: missus says she didn't see red jello. It isn't a real buffet without the red jello. I went looking. Yes- three kinds of jello. How did everything taste? Missus liked it all and really liked the potatoes ( why, just, why.) I thought the place was absolutely terrific. Old and a bit tired but the food was so very good. The service from our waits was good. She would say to people "I see you" and smile as she took the empty plates or refilled glasses. We paid $12.99 per person, plus $3 per person for drinks. With tip is was like $38 ish bucks. I can spend that at Freddy's or Burger King for two people. So- if ya haven't been there, try it. If ya have- you hopefully had the same great experience we did. Ive included a photo of the jello, just to prove how authentic Sakura is.

I had been here once before and the food was so good I had to come back. By the time I got to my hotel, I was running late for my reservation and got a call from The Appalachian checking if I was going to make my reservation. I let them know that I had just arrived at my hotel, traffic on I-81 held me up and I was going to order an Uber as soon as I was off the phone. Coming from DC, I expected an Uber would be at the hotel door steps within a few minutes, I was wrong. I was then crushed by the realization that I was wrong, I wasn't gonna make my reservation. I knew that on a week night The Appalachian's kitchen closed at 9. Ride.I called them back to let them know of the situation and expressed my desire to have their Wood Fired Lamb. The Gentleman that answered the phone simply responded "it's going on the grill now, we will see you when you get here. F-ing amazing, turned my stressful and painful day completely around. Uber'ed over, walked into an empty restaurant on a weekday where I would guess dinner customers might have been light and they held the staff for little old me. The Appalachian had just moved to the top of my list for I mean best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Unfortunately, for them, my favorite restaurant of all time in the United States shut down when I was in my early 20's so they'll never get a chance to compete.. But they just bumped Alligator Soul in Savannah Georgia to number two still in existence in these great United States. The Appalachian is a must dine at least once in your life, top tear resistant. Out F-ing standing, must F-ing dine at some point in your life. To the staff of The Appalachian, thank you for taking care of me went you could have told me that you close at 9pm. Thank you for watching out for this old man DC IRIS (AKA Savyon)

First off, the restaurant is truly stunning! Service was excellent too. We started with the Fried Chicken Skins. My friend had heard good things for a friend, but we weren't particularly impressed. I had the Hanger Steak as my entree, and it was delicious. I especially loved the potato dumplings! My friend had the Kansas City Strip, cooked medium rare, with broccolini. Initially, the steak was overcooked, but the staff quickly cooked another steak and made it right. Overall a really good experience! Downtown Sevierville has really evolved, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring after dinner.

Good golly, Miss Dolly did not bless this buffet. We splurged on the Easter Brunch for six people,…read moreand it was, unfortunately, an unforgettable waste of money. It took me a while to write this review because I was still trying to process just how disappointing the experience was for the whole family. Let's start with the positive: the staff was genuinely lovely--from the warm greeting at the door to our server and the buffet attendants. Everyone was kind and attentive, and they were doing their best. Now, the food. While the buffet was abundant, much of it was barely edible and did not taste freshly made. My teens--who love fried chicken--took one bite and declared it "unedible," which was my first red flag. They reverted to the kids' station, but the mac & cheese was mushy and unrecognizable, and everything else there had been steamed to within inches of its life. I tried to rally enthusiasm with the donut wall, but despite being coated in sugar, the donuts were oddly tasteless. Many items across the buffet were overly salted--yes, even the greens were sodium loaded . At the made-to-order station, I tried the stir-fry, which was unfortunately drowned in what tasted like bottled sauce. Our last hope was the crêpe station. I understand this is a high-volume restaurant, but the crêpes were clearly prepackaged, reheated to order, and filled with canned fruit. Once again: edible, but barely. We did manage to laugh together about how much we love Dolly Parton--and how shocking it was that food this bad carried her name. I can't speak to ordering off the regular menu, but I strongly recommend saving your hard-earned money and skipping this buffet altogether. Perhaps a freshly made omelet might have been better, but nothing here justified the $65 per person price tag. Aunt Grannies at the theme park is definitely better, but since it was a holiday we eventually went to Bucc- ees later to get better food .
