I purchased a car to have them call me 4 days later to say the paperwork was done incorrectly & I needed to come up with an additional $1000.00. I explained to the finance manager I wasn't coming back & he proceeded to yell at me & threaten me to that he'd have me arrested. I laughed at him & said arrested for what? The deal was done & don't understand how now 4 days later there is an error & you want $1000.00 more. He said the paperwork hasn't been sent to Ford Credit & it won't till I came in. If I could give this place 0 stars I would, they're favorite sentence is "we are here to help you" when in fact that is the complete opposite they gave me a horrible deal for my trade and I ended up upside down like no other. They then proceeded to call me 3 times asking for more money, which I wasn't going to give because the deal was already done and over. When I went there and talked with the manager tony he was trying to convince me to give him a thousand and he would give me an extra thousand on the trade which isn't benefiting me what so ever I then told him no and that's when the attitude and disrespect came as I was walking out of the dealership he yelled out "you just lost out on 2 grand" which made no sense and I replied thank you and left. I'm gonna be honest it took everything to not go back in that office and start yelling but I kept my cool. In the end this was by far the worst experience I've ever had dealing with anybody.. I received a phone call on Labor Day from a salesman at Westfield Ford, named Amin. This guy, Amin, stated that they had a Ford F150 lightning on the show room floor, that was what they call a "mannequin" and that I could buy it at the MSRP price of $53,000 I asked, is there any additional charge or any other requirements? Because I have heard of incredibly high mark ups on this vehicle. He stated, no, all you have to do is come down to the dealership, put down a deposit and sign the paperwork to purchase the vehicle for $53,000 and when the Ford corporation releases it in a month or two, I could pick it up. So I agreed to come down immediately and take care of the paperwork. When I got there the games began, first he couldn't remember the price he quoted me, then he was not even sure that it was actually available! Now, this salesman, that had said he had confirmed it hadn't already been sold, could not even remember doing that! I knew right away that the scam was on, so I said I want to see your manager and got up and walked over to the managers counter. I asked for a manager and was told that one of these gentleman could "act", as a manager... Again with the games. I informed them that I had received a call from Amin and was told that a Ford F 150 Lightning Pro Model is available for $53,000, I wanted to know is that correct or is this all a bunch of nonsense? They laughed and looked at me like it was an absurd idea that they could possibly sell a truck like this for ONLY $8,000 over the Sticker Price! They said of course it's not up for sale for $53,000, That is a special model! So I said what's the markup now $30,000 like Kunes Ford in Antioch? Again they started laughing, I had driven over an hour to reach this dealership and I was in no mood for their nonsense, so I let them have my wrath and I let them know, in no uncertain terms what I thought of them. My final salute to them as I left was "this is why Ford is going out of business and why I'm going to buy a Tesla!" When you're given a price on any Tesla model... That is the exact price you pay, no mark up, No nonsense and no laughing in your face as they mock you for thinking you could buy the truck for the price that is given over the phone by one of their "Salesmen ". I would give ZERO stars if I could. I was emailed a quote on a NEW car. I called to accept the offer and put a deposit down to hold it until I could get there. I was told that the car is not new and belongs to the wife of the manager. SO, it is NOT new and is not actually for sale. Poor customer service!!! I took my truck in to get a recall taken care of and they have to keep it for 1 to 2 days and they refused to give me a loaner because I did not purchase the truck from them. I had a service appointment for 11:30 am. At 1:30 pm I was told they would not look at my car today. They tried to explain having an appointment didn't mean they would actually do anything with my car, it just meant I could leave it there to be fixed whenever they got to it. Beware when buying a used car here. I bought a 2015 Lincoln MKZ from Jacob a year ago exactly. I thought the vehicle was great but a couple weeks ago I come to find out that the car came with the wrong size spare tire. I had a flat in the middle of nowhere and I ended up having to call a tow truck. I called Jacob to ask him if there was anything he could do for me and he said no. I called again asking to speak to a manager (his name was Frank) and he said he couldn't do anything either because it's been too long. I told him well if I had known it was the wrong size earlier I would've brought it in a long time ago. I asked him if that's the case are you saying the cars aren't actually certified? And he said well we don't check the spare tires we just make sure it has one. It honestly makes me feel like I'm a typical dumb woman to them buying a car. I didn't appreciate the way that they spoke to me and he didn't care when I said I would put a review about the place. He said there's nothing I can do which I don't think is fair because I paid more than I should've for this car and my family has all bought brand new vehicles from there. Made an appointment to have a recall fixed & a couple of other things checked out & my car sat there for 5.5 hours and didn't even get looked at. I was told it would be the first car looked at the following day & after noon it still hadn't been looked at. No manager on duty to speak with. Very disappointed! We brought in our truck for the 10,000 mile maintenance at 9:00 in he morning. Didn't hear anything so we called at 4:00pm. During almost 25 years of owning Ford vehicles, I have never encountered with such incompetency, ignorance and complete disregard of the customer, as I have experienced at Westfield Ford. To Make the long story short, I will describe my encounter with this dealership in bullet points: * First visit - had to replace a rubber sealer in the passenger door under warranty. The guy at the dealership said he will order the part and call me back. * Second visit (after 2 weeks) - no one called. I came back and found out that the part was not ordered. Been told the part will be ordered and that they will call me back once it arrives. * Third visit (after 3 weeks) - no one called. I came back to find out that the part was not ordered. Spoke with Kyle, who ordered the part. Been told that Kyle will call me back once the part in arrived. * Fourth encounter (after 3 weeks) - NO ONE CALLED. Came to the dealership and found out that the part is actually at the dealership. Mechanics strike started, and no one could install the part for many weeks (not dealership's fault this time). * Fifth encounter - strike is over, set up a date and installed the part. Talked to Kyle and said that I need to align rear bumper under warranty. Kyle said that he will open a ticked and call me back to set up the date. 5 weeks passed.....do you think Kyle called back? Of course not. Went to Fair Oaks Ford who did everything I needed right away. In conclusion, the personnel at Westfield Ford is completely incompetent, and don't care bout their customers, AT ALL. This not the Ford dealership to go to for any service. I brought my Ford Taurus in because it was crank but wouldn't start . So i brought my car in after closing on a Saturday . My car sat at this dealer for 3days. I got my car back Wensday . The dealership claim they did a thorough Inspection and that only my battery need be changed . So they changed my battery and then told me abt $2700 random things I should get done but unrelated to my car not starting! By Saturday my car wouldn't start again after buying the new battery . I took it back up this dealer and told it wouldn't start because it was some corrosion on the battery . How was it corrosion on the battery if they charged me for s new battery????? By Sunday my car stopped again !!! I did some research on the net and found out that it was a major recall on for the 2013-2015 Ford Taurus because of a defective fuel pump control module. This would cause your car not to start. This module is just a small black box that sits in the rear of the vehicle behind the passenger seat!!! I took my car back that Monday and told them this module was the problem and they needed to inspect it . I had to repeat myself twice just so they could inspect the problem . A hour later I get a call from the dealership tellling me my fuel pump control module was defective. My car set for 3 days and no one inspected this known problem . They charged me for a battery I didn't need and on top of that I had to tell them what to look for just get my car fixed . Even though this problem I experience was on the recall list my car still didn't fall under the recall. Even though the only thing that was wrong with my car was the part that was recalled . The kicker is they charge me more for a battery I didn't need and less for the actual problem !!! So I wasted money getting a rental , buying a new battery when my old one was good and getting multiple tows . STAY CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP! They have no idea what they are doing . Didn't appreciate the fact that due to not wanting to buy a car, the sales associate decided to call over another employee and try to embarrass me. Oh no he did ennttt. Let me take you back: So I was shopping for cars and decided to come in and ask about the Mustangs. The Sales associate (older gentleman), wanted to help. I told him that I wanted to buy a car and that the Mustang was a contender. He showed me the cars but didn't ask if I wanted to test drive it (could it be the fact that I had a baseball cap and looked very bummy), which I thought was very unusual. What he didn't know is that I wanted to drive it, I have super good credit and my car's lease expires in a few weeks. He kept telling me "what I should buy". I guess he "assumed" that I wasn't going to be able to afford a car or something. When he finally gave me the last straw of acting like a jerk (almost 15 minutes of his condescending talk), he said "Oh you want something that no one else has and that you can really look good on", this is when he called another co worker and told him "Maybe we should show him the vespas" Ummmm you idiot, I own a ninja motorcycle and also had a Shadow, what the heck would I do with a vespa. Being condescending just cost him a huge sale. I was really insulted and his snickering so I decided the next place which was a Hyundai dealership about 25 minutes away. And yes, I bought the car there from someone who KNOWS how to deal with customers and not in a fasichist way. I would NEVER recommend this place since they are jerks! I went across the street to grab a beer after this experience and the bartender at the restaurant also stated, "Oh yeah, that dealership is full of jerks who will throw their attitudes in a minute if you let them". Well, i don't think he understood that as a YELP-er, good or bad, I REVIEW! Moral of this story: Treat your customers correctly, for you never know when the true YELP-ers come in and make you or break you. Just downright rude and uncooth if you ask me. I just bought a Ford Focus here a little less than a week ago. I LOVE my new car, don't get my wrong, but the whole experience of purchasing my first vehicle left a lot to be desired. I went to Westfield Ford after using TrueCar; they were the dealership that offered me the best price. They quoted us at a great price with all offers included. We test drove the vehicle and decided I liked it, so we decided to move forward with purchasing. The initial experience was great. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Then we went in to the financing room and that is where everything flipped. I had signed all my paperwork for the car and then ALL OF A SUDDEN I didn't qualify for a finance offer which raised my car price $500. In the grand scheme of things, not huge, BUT as far as I know, they were supposed to be obligated to sell us the vehicle at the TrueCar price. Also, it just feels dirty when you have all the paperwork signed and then they try to alter the price of your purchase. Why wasn't everything checked in advance of offering us the price? After squawking a little bit about how that wasn't fair, the finance guy offered me a lower financing rate which he said would "bring me within a few dollars of $500." I'm a freaking math teacher and I thought I had made that clear to them. Did he really not think I was going to check the math in my head while we were sitting there? Obviously they weren't paying attention when I told them what I did for a living, because the deal really only took off $130. Again, not a huge deal to the overall price, but the fact that they tried to pass it off like it was just "a few dollars" when it was $370 makes me really upset. They obviously saw a young girl come in and tried to pull stuff. They didn't expect me to call them out on it and that was also clear. Anyway, when we were getting ready to leave, there were problems with the car that had to be fixed the next day. They told me to drive home without a back license plate....which is illegal in the state of IL. I didn't really have a choice in the matter and they told me to "blame it on them" if I got pulled over. I came back the next day to have that among with a few other things fixed & finished. I asked about the 2 years of free oil changes/tire rotations that I was told was a part of my deal with them. They gave me a hard time about it!! From "I don't remember telling you that...." to "you already got a really good deal on the car...." I had to go inside the dealership to make sure that I was getting what I paid for. I wonder what will happen when I try to cash that in. They also told me to give them a good rating on their reviews because if I don't, I'll cause my salesman to lose his bonus. Guilllllt trip central. How about pay your employees a liveable wage? Not my problem. If you were sleazy, you were sleazy and you get the review that comes along with it. Like I said, I'm super happy with my car. However the whole process of buying it just felt sleazy. I felt like I had to watch my back the entire time. We are even sitting here currently making sure they didn't mess up the financing because WE DON'T FEEL SECURE IN THEIR BUSINESS. We've tried to e-mail them and they won't respond. Go figure. On the positive side, the salesmen were very friendly and social. They were helpful and made sure I knew the features of my car thoroughly. They were understanding and allowed me to bring in the remainder of my downpayment within 24 hours after a $2,500 initial payment. I don't think they're doing anything that other dealers aren't doing, I just know my experience buying my first car left a lot to be desired. UPDATE: They are currently playing run around and ignoring my e-mails and calls. I have been in contact with the Better Business Bureau, so I would really hope that they don't continue to try their financing scam or whatever they seem to be doing with everyone's car pricing. He told me that the manager upstairs had the keys and would let him open the truck. They didn't make any attempts at trying to help with any questions. This is horrific customer service! I am absolutely baffled by how terrible the customer service and mechanic competency levels are at West Field Ford in Countryside. I had a light come on and I thought it was because my oil level was 10%. I went to Ford for an oil change. I asked, "Did the light go off?" David (Associate) responds, "Yes." I said, "Was it because of the oil?" David says, "Yes." So I go to my car and the light is still on. I go back inside, tell David the light is still on. He then tries to ask me, "everyone has left, can you come back tomorrow?....(WOW) I told him, no, that is not an option. David magically finds a mechanic (or lack thereof). At this point, the mechanic goes to my car, does something, comes back in. I said, "Did the light go off?" He says, "Yes." I go to my car, THE LIGHT IS STILL ON! I come back inside, tell the mechanic and he says, "Well, you have to drive about ¾ of a mile so the car can reset itself." Sounds like BS...and hey, guess what, it was! I drove 2 miles and the light was still on. Called them back in less than 5 minutes and of course now they are closed. Call David the next morning and he proceeds to tell me, "Well you did not tell us your check engine light was on, you only came in for an oil change." (WOW) So now, this is my fault for not knowing this was a check engine light. You would think since the light was on the entire time someone would have told me hey, this is check engine light, something else is wrong with your car, and it's not the oil. Nevertheless, of course they happily changed my oil and charged me $70. To regroup, the Associate David has now lied to my face. The mechanic has given me a BS excuse to go drive ¾ so he can leave any everyone can go home. Not once has anyone told me at this point this is a check engine light and needs a diagnostic test. Took the car to Auto Zone, turns out my Eco Boost is failing. Then I speak with the Manager of The Service Department, who tells me, "My employee offered to let you come in this morning, but that was not good enough for you." (WOW) I explained to him by the time your employee called me at 9:30am I was already at work and coming in this morning was not an option. At no point is any attempt made to schedule for a later time or to explain the next steps to me. Other than a sarcastic, "I'm sorry you feel my employee treated you badly." At this point I realize no matter what happens I am not going to get anywhere with these people, nor do I want to do business with them or trust their work. This is really awful. He asked our budget, I said it depends on what we see. He said, well come over here and have a seat, I need to get your information and put you in our system. Then he says " well wait, you don't want to give me any of your information, but you want me to give you some of our information?" SO... I said "You know what Donnie, I think we walked into the wrong dealer" and as were walking out he happens to express his discontent by repeating himself in front of other coworkers. By saying, " you don't give me your information, so I won t give you ours, that's how all dealer work and that's what you're going to find everywhere else." My wife and I just continued walking out and just had to laugh about it for several reasons.... 1. You're dealer lost, we did not!!! 2. Your lack of having a senior sales looking over the inexperienced cost you (2) sales. 3. It also showed the lack of leadership to properly train your so called salesmen. 4. It showed a gross lack of respect for real customers. 5. Last but not least..... You're judging possible sales based on how I looked. Bad idea for you. Let me start by saying if you go here see Rob Swayka! I normally go to another dealership in the area to buy my cars but my experience at Westfield Ford really changed my mind. It was a great experience! I was in an accident shortly before the holidays and my car was a total loss. I was very concerned as I was dependent on my car needs for my job and had to buy a car. When I pulled up, Rob approached me and I let him know I was just looking. Unlike most salesmen, he respected that which I greatly appreciated. After walking the lot for half and hour looking (uninterrupted which was awesome), Rob then asked if I saw anything I would like to look at more closely. I then explained my needs, my situation and what I could afford. He then grabbed some keys and let me sit in several cars that I was interested in without pushing something I couldn't afford. Rob then brought us in to sit down and discuss my options. Again he didn't push anything at all. Rob was very understanding of my situation and was extremely real with his approach. He was extremely knowledgeable with each car and what he had to offer. Rob spent over an hour with me, educating me on options and vehicles (Mind you I was just looking...not buying). A week had passed and Rob called me letting me know he had some cars come in with my price range. I then came back to Westfield Ford to speak with Rob. When I approached Rob, he asked me how things were going and if I had any questions. He didn't push anything on me. After initially talking to Rob the first time, my options had changed as he informed me of many choices. I let Rob know I was interested in the Ford Edge. I will admit, I am a hard person to convince and I ended up buying a 2013 Ford Edge. I was extremely happy with my purchase and was offered a great deal by Rob. He was genuinely honest and respectful. If you go to Westfield Ford see Rob Swayka!!! Honestly the best salesman I have ever dealt with. He really cares and believes in being a good person. I will definitely go back to buy my future cars at Westfield Ford because of Rob. Also for those curious about Ford, they have some great options! Now for servicing the car they always claim nothing is wrong and will "wait and see if it gets worse". Full of empty promises, including 2-years of oil changes they refuse to honor!! Jake in service patronized me after I had sat and waited 5 hours for my car to be looked at only to find they had not even started it. I have several complaints of the service from this dealership: 1. Calls to the service department are rarely returned 2. Scheduled loaners cars have not been available when promised on at least 2 occasions 3. Repairs to my gas door resulted in new body damage to my car 4. Door latch recall has resulted in my RR door window no longer functioning and door unable to be opened from inside. Car was also left full of greasy fingerprints on the inside of the car. 5. After 3 days to diagnose an electrical issue and claiming it was fixed, the problem continued. I took the car to McCarthy Ford and they determined the problem and repaired it in under 2 hours. I had an awesome experience there! My salemans name was Jim and he was the most honest and helpful salesman ever! I went in there 4 days ago looking for one specific car and they had it, it was a lil pricey but I decided to leave a deposit down on it so they dont sell it on me while I think about it a little more. I did come back the next day with bad news. I ended up not wanting the car BUT I did find a different one that just came in that day and I ended up taking it. Horrible service waiting times, on average every time I have gone for an oil change at least 2 hours. They claim to be a "Quicklane" which is supposed to be no appointment necessary for simple services such as oil changes, yet now you must make an appointment. So if that's the case take the Quicklane sign down. Went to a different Ford dealer and was in and out the door in 30 minutes for a oil change. They try to stop me offering something I do not want.. they still have same car list, to me this is just a GIMMICK so they can get you in to the dealer so they can sell you something. So do not waste your time with this lairs they don't deserve to make any money from. They are just line fishing and this is illegal. read more

*This review is on the Serivce Department only* I just took my car in for an oil change and quick review. I went to Westfield because my previous dealership, Anderson Ford, closed and my regular mechanic Danny S., was recruited here. My experience here was very pleasent and made this somewhat mundane errand, much easier to handle. Everyone in the department was very friendly and made sure that I was serviced promptly. I highly recommend requesting Danny as your mechanic. He has 35+ years experience, and is an expert and repairing transmissions, a highly speciality field. He is extremely honest and does not to push any "extra" work that you might not actually need. After my visit, I received a phone call making sure that everything was satisfactory with my visit. Absolutely AWFUL SERVICE, HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! They do not answer ANY phone calls once you drop you car off. They say the car will be ready one day, then it gets delayed, AGAIN AND AGAIN (and that if you can even get them to answer there phone calls) THEN to top it all off they will charge you hundreds MORE then what the original quote is WITHOUT your consent!
