Our car was having a charging issues. These guys went above and beyond helping us. We don't drive a Ford and they still did everything they could to help us getting it going. The charger stand wasn't wanting to corporate with our car. They were patient and kind. Even knowing they were not getting a sale they gave us compassion. Tells me what my trade-in is selling for, while I have what multiple dealers are selling the car for. Not trade in value. Retail value. I understand that trade in is lower. I disagreed. The brand I'm trading in is top 3 in the nation for sales. While ford is at the bottom. IMMEDIATELY got his pride hurt and storms off, ending any conversation. The Bill came to $1,012.00 I was so screwed because it was beginning to rain and didn't feel I could shop around without Cab getting soaked. Jordan told me they charge $220 an hour. The low end average- hourly service charges come up $33.00 an hour in Washington State. That means Westlie charges over 6x the average rate $. Awesome service! Bought a truck last year about this time, it was used and I get it used trucks can have issues. Rear driveline was bad from day one. They fixed it without hesitation biggest lead time was getting the part from Ford. Fast forward my truck lived a life of a fleet vehicle. They didn't take care of it well as I'm finding out to no fault of Westlie because it was a trade in from another lot in their chain. Found out my engine was starting to go bad. I bought the warranty contract and glad I did cause it saved me a ton of money. Jordan in service has been awesome to work with. After waiting almost 6 months my new engine came in. Purchased a custom 2015 Ford Escape. At 100k miles exactly the transmission blew. Then we receive a letter in the mail about a year later letting us know there's a recall on my transmission. We spent nearly $3k on this transmission rebuild before receiving the letter, and at this appointment we asked for all liquids and oil to be changed. I pickup my vehicle drive an hour home, to find out they never changed my oil and the transmission was still acting up. Separately I've had an oil change appointment scheduled once and spent 5 hours waiting in the lobby. This time I took my vehicle back in for a transmission missing bolt, and they checked out my rattling wheel. Well they clipped the bolts to my axel so I spent my entire VACATION AT HOME because I didn't have a vehicle. It was supposed to be in and out in 24 hours, nope took 5 days. To get my keys and drive it down the road for not only 1 rattling wheel but now 2 rattling wheels. When we questioned them, they said it was the previous shops issue? So now I'm getting ready to take my vehicle to another shop, to check on Weslie Fords botched job.... To find my engine mat laying on the ground below my car. Nice job guys. So if you want to spend 11k in fixes in 6 years, for the vehicle to last maybe 140k miles, to take it in with two problems and come out with a larger list than before... this is the place to go! read more

I brought my car in for a recall service. They didn't even check for fluid levels and such but already wrote down about $1,000 worth of work I should agree to do. I said no. I was late to my appointment and had called in because my battery died and I needed a jump. I ran the car for a good while (30 mins) and dropped it off, telling them again why I was late. When I picked it up, it took them about 20-25 mins to bring it around. This is a small shop so it should not have taken long. Car comes, I jump in, and drive off about one mile away. Stop and park to get my child some medicine. Car won't start when I get back in. Although I cannot prove it, I suspect that they had to jump my car before releasing it back to me but did not say a word about doing that. Why else would it die when I parked it again. They chose not to tell me they did that and had they told me, I would have run the car longer to ensure it started again. read more

Dealership Service Department Shortcomings, That Could've Resulted In A Major Safety Incident. I had my car serviced and thoroughly inspected at Westlie Ford prior to a road trip that would span multiple states and about 2500 miles. The car was given a clean bill of health, but broke down 11 days and 1,256 miles later due to brakes being metal to metal. For safety reasons, we obviously didn't want to drive any more than necessary or try to make it all the back to Vancouver Washington with the front brakes being metal to metal, that could've led to loss of braking; causing and accident and injuring ourselves and possibly others, or even worse, a friction fire in the middle of nowhere. I had to pay for the repairs while on our trip, which caused delays and cancellations during a trip that had been planned for months. Westlie Ford's Service Manager investigated the incident and told me that it was clearly their fault and they'd reimburse my emergency out of packet expense. She lied! After getting the run around, I got a check from them for $450.00 to cover the $702.00 emergency repair bill during our trip. I met with the Service Manager in person and recorded it with my phone. She told me that she was only authorized to offer a $450.00 labor credit or a check. With the conversation turning into an argument I finally told her that cashing the check indicates that I accept the fact that I got taken advantage of. I understand that people sometimes make mistakes. I only ever ask that they correct the situation by any means necessary (if possible) and learn from it to prevent it from happening again to someone else. Fortunately, I was able to pay emergency repair bill with my credit card, but what if I didn't have a credit card? What if I was single parent with small children who barely had enough money to support my kids and I, let alone unexpected car repairs? Luckily, I'm not in that category, but there are some people out there that are genuinely struggling to make ends meet (especially in today's world), and something like this could really destroy someone financially. The Service Manager told me that they would've had repair shop contact them for a purchase order for direct payment. I then asked, "For the full amount?" and she said, "No, only for the authorized amount. Anything beyond that would be your responsibility." So, what you're saying is that either way, if I wouldn't have had a credit card, I would've been stranded in Idaho Falls??? As a result of this experience, I told her that I would not be bringing my car back. She didn't seem to care. We are a Ford family and only have our vehicles serviced at the dealer. This horrible experience really left me questioning my loyalty to the brand and the integrity of the people that work in automotive service/repair industry. This lesson not only put the safety of my family and I at risk during our trip, but also cost my time, and the offset amount of $252.73. A very expensive lesson. Based on my experience, I would NEVER recommend this dealership's service department to anyone I know. Ask yourself how much is the safety of you and your family really worth. Being a former technician and Service Manager myself, I fully understand how the CSI and FFV (Customer Satisfaction Index and Fixed First Visit) scores directly impact the dealership, and its management and their bonuses. I feel that I gave enough opportunity to recover from a negative experience and turn it into a positive one, prior to submitting my review. Sadly, that did not happen in this case. I have yet to get a survey email or call from Ford Motor Company (they were likely told do not contact me), but if/when I do, rest assured this review will be shared with them as well. I am grateful that although this was a stressful situation, the actual damage was rather minor and easily repaired. We were instructed by the Lincoln Motor Company that we had to take to a Lincoln dealership; so after towing our vehicle to Oregon from Washington; we were told they couldn't get our car in and didn't know when they could get it in... If I could give no stars I would. Took my Ford in to have the brakes replaced. They lied and said they inspected the rear brakes and said I had 80% left. 18 months later I lost most of my breaks and almost wrecked my car. My mechanic check out the problem and the factory security ring was still on the drum which means they never removed the drum to inspect and sent me back on the road. I ask for a refund and they said they changed ownership and I should have brought the car back to them. Do yourself a favor and take your car to Vancouver Ford. I was unsure about getting it, but was assured that I could cancel it if I changed my mind, which I did after learning how overpriced it was. Since then I have had my calls and emails pretty much ignored. One person did finally send me the necessary paperwork digitally, but I never heard anything after mailing it in. I was told it takes 8-10 weeks to issue the refund after the paperwork is received. I tried getting in contact again after several months of not hearing anything, but no one ever responded. This place was so good I was hesitant to do this review. They repaired the bearings on my 2018 Silverado. I'm going to keep it short and simple. I was able to drop my truck off the day before my appointment. They reassured me that it was okay to drop it off early. My appointment was for 10 am the next day. Before 10 am, they already had my diagnosis. They was able to inspect it the evening before. The price went from $1200, to $592 then down to $108.40. This is because they put in the necessary time and work to honor my extended warranty. The reason why I said I was a little hesitant to do this review is because I was sure that something was going to go wrong on I got my truck back. It seemed too fast for me, customer service was way too nice and I've had too many bad experiences with car/truck repairs. It's been two weeks now and no issues at all. Everybody was so nice here and Omar was incredibly helpful. My husband bought his truck here last year and had such a good experience that we decided to get my vehicle here too. Although we knew we were going to buy something very soon, Omar respected that we were "just wanting to test drive" last Monday. He let us test drive a couple and then left us alone. On Wed we went back and test drove again. He said one was supposed to come in that I may like if we wanted to wait. He helped us to narrow things down, but gain, no pressure. On Thursday he said the one wasnt in yet but that we may like a red one instead that had less miles. We did some research and decided we wanted to go and look. I'm so glad we did! After test driving it all around, we decided to talk numbers. They don't have the inventory like some others, but we never felt hagled nor manipulated like I've felt at Dick Hannah in the past. And, after Omar helped do research for me like he did, I didn't mind. They also say they have to remain competitive in price since they don't have the inventory. I did a Kelley Blue Book search on a 2004 Ford Freestar Passenger SE that they had listed on their "web specials." As I suspected, this dealership is ripping people off, big time! KBB says the vehicle is worth between $1861-$3431 (That is the dealer price. The private seller price is even lower). Guess what Westlie is charging for a web special "deal"? $7477!!! I would hate to know what the regular price is. This is an unethical price to list. They are charging $4046 extra at the high end worth of the Ford Freestar Passenger SE and they are charging $5616 more at the low end of the value bracket. That means even if this car was in pristine condition with extremely rare low mileage, then they are charging close to 3x's the true worth! If it falls in the low worth category, then it is exactly 4x's the worth!! Again, I will stress this value is exclusively tailored to dealer vehicle worth only. The private seller worth is much lower! There is no rational to their listing price. You could buy 3 Ford Freestars at their listed price and still have money left over, or you could even have 4 Ford Freestars in that low price listed. The bottom line is, this company clearly is a place where your wallet will indeed get fondled, 3-4x's again. Go elsewhere. Worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I was in the market for a Toyota Tundra and noticed that Westlie Ford had one for sale with relatively low miles for the model year they were selling. I sent an inquiry to ask for more photos of the truck since the website only had two pictures. Mike was kind enough to email me a few additional photos and asked if I wanted to come look at the truck that day. After viewing the additional photos, I called Mike to setup a time to come look at the truck. When I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by Natasha. I informed her I was there to meet with Mike. Her response back was, "Mike is too busy today, so he sent me." This was the first red flag. I shrugged it off and continued on about my business looking over the vehicle. After the test drive, I asked if I could have the vehicle inspected as the Tundras can have some issues that are expensive to fix. When asked about the dealership's policy on having the truck inspected, Natasha replied in an annoyed tone of voice, "Well, we already inspected the truck ourselves, but if you want to have the truck inspected again by Toyota, go ahead." This was the second red flag. Upon inspection, there were a few issues that were uncovered. A torn, leaky CV boot, worn tires (which anyone could have seen clearly just by looking at the truck), and two small dents on the side of the truck that were down to bare metal. I informed Natasha of the issues with the truck and even showed her pictures from the inspection. Natasha seemed shocked that the inspection they performed did not find the problems that Toyota found. Again, in an annoyed tone of voice, Natasha said, "I can tell you right now. We are not going to replace the tires and we are not going to replace the CV boot. And even if we did, it is not going to affect the value of the truck that much. We are firm on the price." This was the fourth red flag. To get the truck up to (in my opinion) drivable condition, I was looking at $500 to $600 to fix the CV boot and $1000 for new tires. Aside from those two repairs, I was also quoted $500 to $800 to repair the dents on the side of the truck. I understand this is a used vehicle and there is a premium on Tundras right now, but I have never been to a dealership that was so unwilling to negotiate on price for issues that should have been fixed before even putting the vehicle on the lot (tires and CV boot). After Natasha let me know they would not be budging on the price, I mentioned that I had a vehicle to trade-in to see if they would be willing to work with me on that to recuperate some of the costs to get the truck up to road worthy condition. When I mentioned the trade-in, Natasha laughed and sarcastically said, "Oh my goodness." At this point, I should have let Natasha know I would be taking my business elsewhere after her snide reply. I have never felt like I was such an inconvenience to someone before, let alone a salesperson trying to sell me a car. Natasha "ran" the VIN number of my vehicle, looked at it for about 30 seconds, and went inside to go talk to her manager to see what they could give me for the trade-in. There was no real effort to assess the value of my car. When Natasha returned outside, she informed me the best they could do on my car was $10k. This offer was blatantly disrespectful as it was nearly $10k below what I was offered at other dealerships. I let Natasha know their offer was a lot lower than what other dealers offered, and she responded with, "Well, we need to spend money reconditioning the vehicle before we put them up for sale." This may be true to an extent, but my vehicle does not need $10k worth of "reconditioning" as it is in near perfect shape. I took this low offer as Natasha and her manager saying, "How dare you not trust us and have the truck inspected by Toyota. We do not want to sell you the truck and we do not need or care about getting your business. Now get off of our lot." So that is exactly what I did and took my business somewhere that values their customers and the customer experience. Also, if you care about reconditioning your vehicles before selling them, why not fix the CV boot and replace the tires? I would have been happy to pay asking price if the above issues were addressed. My recommendation if you plan on buying a vehicle from Westlie Ford is, DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM WESTLIE FORD and take your business somewhere else. They made it clear they do not care about the customer, that you are an inconvenience to them, and they do not care about your business. I never met Mike as I originally thought I would, and never met the manager that supposedly "appraised" my car without ever actually seeing my car. Natasha, Natasha's manager, and Mike at Westlie Ford provided me with the most unpleasant experience I have ever had at a car dealership. I will not be visiting this dealership again and recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

I dropped this comment on Google Review but am dropping this here too. This is the second time that I was very unpleasant with service department receptionist from this location. With my first experience, I visited here in the morning in early January this year, and this lady at the office looked at me up and down with this b*tch face when I just walked in. From start to the end, her behavior was not nice nor kind to any customers except her coworkers. I could see she gets annoyed, and bored on her job. I did not head up or speak up about her behavior because I thought she might have a bad day or bad body condition or something like that. There was no need to make any fusses. I had another issue came up with my car today (February 28th 2022) so made a phone call here in the morning at 8:21am. The lady who picked up my call (I don't know how many lady receptionists are in service department but I assume she is the same lady from the first time because both took place in the morning) hung up in the middle of me telling her my phone number as a returning customer. She kept mishearing my last 4 digits of the phone number so I had to repeat it for several times. I was fine with repeating it because it can happen when the phone connection is bad. What I was unpleasant is that she was getting mad about not getting the phone numbers right. I could hear her annoyance and madness from her voice. Excuse me rude lady, I am the returning customer, not the service provider here. Hung up when the customer is telling you the information? What kind of phone courtesy is this? At least you, as a service provider, should've shown some respects and open your ears to listen carefully to your customer when your customer can hear you crystal clear. What I cannot believe is Washington Ford and Beaverton Ford, both of them had no such problems on conversation with me at the same time in the same spot. It's a shame to not know her name. Facing service provider's negative emotions/actions/behaviors is not a granted duty of the customers. Your shuttle driver, mechanician, and afternoon lady receptionist (who I called to make a reservation for the first time back in January 3 at 5:48pm) were friendly, kind and helpful. I have been taking my Ford Explorer to Westlie Ford in Camas for years. They have always done an excellent job and their customer service is excellent. When I have needed a repair, which has only been a few times, they first inspect the vehicle then give me a call to let me know what they've found and the estimate to fix it. Repairs and service are done when they say they will be. Recently, I've also experienced the sales side of the business. I bought a new Explorer, and found it to be the most pleasant car-buying experience I've ever had. Jerry in sales did an excellent job of helping me find the exact model of Explorer I wanted. I told him what I wanted and he worked with me to get it, all in a very low pressure environment. Trevor did the paperwork and he was also friendly and low-pressure. I bought two used cars from Westlie less than a month ago. My daughter was driving on the 5 freeway and a skid plate fell off of the bottom of the car. I called Westlie and asked them to bolt it back on and not charge me and they refused claiming that it wasnt part of the warranty. Im sorry but this should be covered under the "we obviously missed something basic when we checked this car over prior to selling it". Plus, what would it take, 10 minutes for a knowledgeable mechanic to put two new bolts into the plate. Horrible customer service. read more

I purchased a Focus RS in August of 2017 and in November 2017, brought it to Westlie Ford for the first oil change and to install the factory snow wheels and tires. Fast forward to about 1h15m after I handed my keys over, I called and apparently the service was completed in about 35 minutes, yet they did not bother to notify me. Next issue, the service technician put their hands all over the paint of my front fenders. Being that this is #1, a black car and #2 an expensive car, I was extremely distraught. I keep my car in excellent condition and make sure to take the utmost care in washing/waxing to ensure that the paint remains swirl mark free and to see hand marks, etc. was extremely frustrating. Fast forward to January 9th 2018, I begin hearing a light sound that is like driving over rumble strips. Each day, it continues to get worse, so Wednesday evening, I do some research and "self-diagnose" that it may be wheel bearing(s) failing. After I come to that conclusion, I scheduled a service visit with another local Ford dealership and to my surprise it wasn't a wheel bearing, Westlie Ford DID NOT TIGHTEN the front lugnuts on both FRONT WHEELS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? The exact words of the service manager was that he is surprised that I was here. My family and I have taken my RS all over the place, including a 600 mile road trip. We could've been seriously injured or worse. I will never visit this dealership for ANYTHING and I hope that this review will sway others as well. I took my 2014 Ford Flex to get the door panel with the keyless touch replaced cause it was broken, I brought in the part myself and left it thinking it would be a great experience. First off I was quoted 2 different quotes that were way different so that was the first red flag. Then after about 5 hours of it being there I got a call saying that the tech had broken the new piece and they had to order me another and keep my car overnight. That's fine other then I was leaving on a family vacation the next morning that I had to put on hold to wait for my car. They said it would be done at 10 am, never got a call so I called at 10:45 am and oh it's been done. They then told me it would be $100 more then my quote because of labor for both days. I was able to get that reduced to the original quote. When I went to pick it up I noticed the window bottom panel was now broken, and at this point I'm pretty upset and I go into talk to them and they had sent out the service manager to deal with me. She was super unpleasant and unprofessional, she told me "oh we were able to take off $24" from my other payment and I was like that's it? She then began to tell me " oh I bet you brought your car here cause you didn't want to do it yourself right,?" I was like, no I brought it here because I had faith that being a ford service department you would have fixed my issue the first time. Not breaking the first part and keeping my car, or jacking up the price for some thing that was your fault or breaking my window button panel, that's why I Brought it here. They said there is nothing more they are willing to do besides make me wait for a new panel and take it back for them to install. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had at a dealership. I was even thinking about trading in my flex for a new truck.. I will never go back let alone buy anything from them again.. Good luck to anyone will to have them work on your vehicle. read more

I normally use one of two ford dealerships for services based off of location to my home and work. I purchased a used F250 super duty diesel from a private party and wanted to have it in for a service and to have it checked out. The communication and service that I received was top notch. Jennifer was great to work with and even with the truck needing rear brakes it was still completed on time for the original completion time. I have no issues driving out of my way to a dealership for service (I used to drive past three Honda dealerships just for the level of service I would receive when we had our accord) but now that we own two fords vehicles I will no doubt continue to use Westlie for all of our service needs. read more

I go to westlie ford for just the convenience factor alone. Its close to my house which is the only reason I keep going back. I think I like punishment that I keep coming back even though the service is horrible. And if you want any kind of follow up well good luck. I thought when they totaled my car that I might see some upgraded customer service and they may actually try to make an effort to use their lackluster customer service skills. But it's been a month and I've had one phone call from a manager and that was the day they totaled my car. The only other times I had contact with them was when I called to check up on the situation. Now that it's been two weeks since I have contacted them and no word from them. No follow up to see how things are going. No follow up to see if they can help with anything along the way. Nope it's here's the insurance company info your on your own. I guess I should be grateful they gave me a loaner vehicle to use while I'm now without a car. I was thinking that service was bad with regular service calls. But it doesn't even improve when they total your vehicle. Take your chances with this repair shop. Just know going in that they don't care. And if you want to know anything that's happening to your car while it's being serviced you will have to make the non stop phone calls. This is the only dealership I've dealt with that does not update you in the process of working on your car. Just night and day with companies. The towing company who first wrecked my car leading it to being in the shop went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and their damages were repaired. The towing company owner gave me is name and talked me through various things when I was working on getting that repaired. Contrast to westlie ford who barely acknowledges you when their accident alone leads to your car being totaled with just their damages to your car. How a car can reverse into a wall and be totaled is beyond me. But that's the story westlie ford went with. read more

Really debated on writing this review. Had some error lights randomly going off on my F150. Brought it in to service and an hour later was told it was a cracked taillight that shorted out a module in the taillight because it filled up with water. Was told taillight needed to be replaced and new module. Apparently the technician said the module was shorted out and needed replaced, I asked if maybe the connection was just shorting out because of the moisture because the error light would come and go. Was told it had to be replaced. $997 for taillight, $1,100 for module and $1,000 for labor & taxes....yes over $3k to replace an F150 taillight and blind spot monitoring module. I passed on the repair, ordered a new OEM taillight online for $345 and dried out the connection from the wiring harness and module. Going on almost 3 months without a warning light. Was pretty disappointed with this place. Service staff was very friendly though but for a $3k estimate I'd hope they would be!. read more
