You'd think this would be an easy search, but it was nothing but frustrating. I was pretty much ignored in all the "big name" stores. What I would have given for someone to simply point me in the right direction! I just wanted to buy a simple roller shade. How hard could this be for them? And then I walked into Advance Auto Parts on E. Powell in Gresham - and KNEW I had finally found my place. No sooner did I walk in the door than "Brett" asked if I needed some help. When I mentioned wanting a roller sun shade, he went to the back and personally brought out the one he used for his own car! "These work really well for me," he said. "Want to see if it works for your car, before you buy?" With that, we went outside and tried it on my car. It was perfect. (The price was really reasonable, too!) Now THAT was good customer service! That Brett would take the time to "demonstrate" a product, to make sure it would work for me was a very kind (and darned impressive) thing to do. I hope Advance Auto Parts pays this man well. So he gave me a different reader and told me to do it myself, and memorize the code. I have never used a sensor reader before and couldn't get the reader to work. To get a price, you had to send an email for a quote. It has been over a week with no response. I sent a follow up email directly to through their website and still no response. I am not going to drive all the way out there to hear the part doesn't exist anymore or it would be cheaper just to buy new. Hillsboro Auto Wrecking, while they didn't have my part, responded to my email within an hour. Use them if you can. They know what fast and friendly service actually means.

about a month back (1/21) I tried to buy a windshield wiper blade at a competitor auto parts store…read morenear my house. they did not sell just the blades, you had to buy the whole wiper unit. so I checked NAPA's website and they sold blades: they sold Trico and they sold aftermarket. so I looked up the Trico blade for my Toyota, found the stock number for it, and called the store. I asked for that particular stock number, Trico, single blade, drivers side, quantity one, one each, as they say in the military. the guy who took the call looked it up, said no problem, we will get it from our warehouse just come by after 2pm same day. wow, mad customer service skills, thanks bro. at 2: 30pm I'm waiting at a light on the way home with my new wiper blade and I notice it's not one blade, it's two. it's not custom sized to fit any vehicle in particular, it's an aftermarket NAPA snap-off wiper blade. it was EXACTLY what I didn't want. I ask management, rhetorically, how did this happen? is it possible that I could have possibly made this phone order possibly more clear than I did? impossible. dz

It felt a little weird coming here with all the RVs around and it didn't feel as obvious where the store was. Since they do RV sales/repairs even when you walk in you're not sure. Once a bit inside we were greeted, saw the store side, and went to look around. They do not have an extensive amount of items for camping/outdoor activities, but they do have a few. I found an item I knew I didn't own because I always just worked around it, but decided I needed something so a convenience item it was. Place was clean and staff was pleasant. No issues using my gift cards so it was worth the trip.

The woman behind the counter didn't even give me a chance to finish my sentence, telling her what kind of vehicle it was for, before heading out into the store and grabbing a bulb. OK, I guess she sees these all the time, so we headed to the counter to pay. I was quite visibly shocked when she told me "that will be $30+", having said "holy cow, that much?" I told her that I saw the bulb online for $15, but she told me "that's the price". What she failed to tell me was that the bulb she grabbed was the most expensive bulb they have and she also failed to tell me there was in-fact a less expensive bulb in the store, the one I saw online for $14.99.
