You'd think this would be an easy search, but it was nothing but frustrating. I was pretty much ignored in all the "big name" stores. What I would have given for someone to simply point me in the right direction! I just wanted to buy a simple roller shade. How hard could this be for them? And then I walked into Advance Auto Parts on E. Powell in Gresham - and KNEW I had finally found my place. No sooner did I walk in the door than "Brett" asked if I needed some help. When I mentioned wanting a roller sun shade, he went to the back and personally brought out the one he used for his own car! "These work really well for me," he said. "Want to see if it works for your car, before you buy?" With that, we went outside and tried it on my car. It was perfect. (The price was really reasonable, too!) Now THAT was good customer service! That Brett would take the time to "demonstrate" a product, to make sure it would work for me was a very kind (and darned impressive) thing to do. I hope Advance Auto Parts pays this man well. I had a factory defect on an item I purchased at another Advanced Auto Parts store, and they accepted the return here. Funny thing was the second item I bought (at this store), also had a defect. To get a price, you had to send an email for a quote. It has been over a week with no response. I sent a follow up email directly to through their website and still no response. I am not going to drive all the way out there to hear the part doesn't exist anymore or it would be cheaper just to buy new. Hillsboro Auto Wrecking, while they didn't have my part, responded to my email within an hour. Use them if you can. They know what fast and friendly service actually means.

I asked for that particular stock number, Trico, single blade, drivers side, quantity one, one each, as they say in the military. the guy who took the call looked it up, said no problem, we will get it from our warehouse just come by after 2pm same day. wow, mad customer service skills, thanks bro. at 2: 30pm I'm waiting at a light on the way home with my new wiper blade and I notice it's not one blade, it's two. it's not custom sized to fit any vehicle in particular, it's an aftermarket NAPA snap-off wiper blade. it was EXACTLY what I didn't want. It felt a little weird coming here with all the RVs around and it didn't feel as obvious where the store was. Since they do RV sales/repairs even when you walk in you're not sure. Once a bit inside we were greeted, saw the store side, and went to look around. They do not have an extensive amount of items for camping/outdoor activities, but they do have a few. I found an item I knew I didn't own because I always just worked around it, but decided I needed something so a convenience item it was. Place was clean and staff was pleasant. No issues using my gift cards so it was worth the trip.
