I go to westlie ford for just the convenience factor alone. Its close to my house which is the only reason I keep going back. I think I like punishment that I keep coming back even though the service is horrible. And if you want any kind of follow up well good luck. I thought when they totaled my car that I might see some upgraded customer service and they may actually try to make an effort to use their lackluster customer service skills. But it's been a month and I've had one phone call from a manager and that was the day they totaled my car. The only other times I had contact with them was when I called to check up on the situation. Now that it's been two weeks since I have contacted them and no word from them. No follow up to see how things are going. No follow up to see if they can help with anything along the way. Nope it's here's the insurance company info your on your own. I guess I should be grateful they gave me a loaner vehicle to use while I'm now without a car. I was thinking that service was bad with regular service calls. But it doesn't even improve when they total your vehicle. Take your chances with this repair shop. Just know going in that they don't care. And if you want to know anything that's happening to your car while it's being serviced you will have to make the non stop phone calls. This is the only dealership I've dealt with that does not update you in the process of working on your car. Just night and day with companies. The towing company who first wrecked my car leading it to being in the shop went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and their damages were repaired. The towing company owner gave me is name and talked me through various things when I was working on getting that repaired. Contrast to westlie ford who barely acknowledges you when their accident alone leads to your car being totaled with just their damages to your car. How a car can reverse into a wall and be totaled is beyond me. But that's the story westlie ford went with. read more

Really debated on writing this review. Had some error lights randomly going off on my F150. Brought it in to service and an hour later was told it was a cracked taillight that shorted out a module in the taillight because it filled up with water. Was told taillight needed to be replaced and new module. Apparently the technician said the module was shorted out and needed replaced, I asked if maybe the connection was just shorting out because of the moisture because the error light would come and go. Was told it had to be replaced. $997 for taillight, $1,100 for module and $1,000 for labor & taxes....yes over $3k to replace an F150 taillight and blind spot monitoring module. I passed on the repair, ordered a new OEM taillight online for $345 and dried out the connection from the wiring harness and module. Going on almost 3 months without a warning light. Was pretty disappointed with this place. Service staff was very friendly though but for a $3k estimate I'd hope they would be!. read more

Well worth the Drive........ I called several dealers looking for service for my new Ford Edge. Did not have a good experience until I reached Westlie Ford. Marie Houck is a service advisor and found a way to accommodate my time needs. My car was serviced and I was on my way in less than an hour! I received a complete report on my car. I took my 2014 Ford Flex to get the door panel with the keyless touch replaced cause it was broken, I brought in the part myself and left it thinking it would be a great experience. First off I was quoted 2 different quotes that were way different so that was the first red flag. Then after about 5 hours of it being there I got a call saying that the tech had broken the new piece and they had to order me another and keep my car overnight. That's fine other then I was leaving on a family vacation the next morning that I had to put on hold to wait for my car. They said it would be done at 10 am, never got a call so I called at 10:45 am and oh it's been done. They then told me it would be $100 more then my quote because of labor for both days. I was able to get that reduced to the original quote. When I went to pick it up I noticed the window bottom panel was now broken, and at this point I'm pretty upset and I go into talk to them and they had sent out the service manager to deal with me. She was super unpleasant and unprofessional, she told me "oh we were able to take off $24" from my other payment and I was like that's it? She then began to tell me " oh I bet you brought your car here cause you didn't want to do it yourself right,?" I was like, no I brought it here because I had faith that being a ford service department you would have fixed my issue the first time. Not breaking the first part and keeping my car, or jacking up the price for some thing that was your fault or breaking my window button panel, that's why I Brought it here. They said there is nothing more they are willing to do besides make me wait for a new panel and take it back for them to install. This is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had at a dealership. I was even thinking about trading in my flex for a new truck.. It's January 2018 and I brought my truck in to get it's 5000k service. My truck has been running great but I wanted the techs to take a look at issues I've been having to include some minor interior items. The most important issue though was a water "swooshing" sound I've been hearing while driving. Mechanics did the 5000k service but were unable to duplicate the water swooshing sound which was odd since it's so noticeable. It literally sounds like I'm toting a half empty fish tank around town. Took Bill the service member, for a spin to show him the sound and bill noticed it immediately. He took my truck back and had techs clear drain holes in door with some compressed air and was told that should solve issue with water sound. (Side note: Bill is an awesome guy. Super helpful and friendly.) So......fast forward to the next day. This is where things get interesting. After a very hard rain in my area I head out to my truck which is uncovered and parked in my driveway. Upon opening my door to my truck I notice a large water puddle that has accumulated on the floor of my drivers side door. I estimate about 2 cups worth. I pull the kick plate trim off and find my door sill is full of water and the electrical wiring harness that is nestled in sill is fully submerged!! Take it back to Westlie. Marie is my service adviser now and she has a few guesses as to where water is coming in from. I watch her feel everywhere in truck for possible moisture which I annoyingly watch as she runs her hands all over my headliner. That's a huge no-no for me. If you've ever had drooping headliner you know that oil from your hands causes that. And it's a huge hassle to clean finger prints off headliners too. Anyway, that may be minor to some but when you pay high dollar for a vehicle you kind of expect the service guys to take care of it as such. The next day i have to call to get an update on truck. I was expecting some texts from Marie regarding status of truck through the day but got no communication from her. Find out the truck was in the shop for awhile and they "supposedly" found the cause of the leak....a small hole where wiring was fed through to my after market camper shell I had put on in September. I'm still not entirely sure where exactly this hole is but apparently road water is being kicked into this small hole and allowing water to move into the truck. (Keep in mind that no puddles of water was ever in my cab UNTIL I brought it to Westlie shop). Since the hole in question was modified by shop and wasn't sealed by shop that camper was installed, Westlie Ford is refusing to cover bill for labor leak investigation. Not ideal at all. Now. I'm not a rocket scientist, but some things are not adding up. First, IF this is road water, then why was the water on my floor board completely clear not muddy or silty. I know since I soaked it all up with a towel. Second, the amount of water that was on my floor board isn't commensurate to a small wiring hole...it would match with a much larger leak from perhaps above where rain may have seeped in such as from the firewall, ac hose, a-pillar channel, or a door seal failure, not a tiny hole. I'm reserving more assumptions until I see where this hole is and how big it is. Marie I'm in process of getting more information from Marie and was waiting for some photos of the leak source in question but have received nothing yet. (Requested pics about 4 hours ago). I still haven't picked my truck up yet since mechanics were literally drying out the interior floor underlay mats and putting it back together. I've left three stars right now but will definitely update depending on outcome of this whole debacle. This is my dream truck and the last thing I want to deal with is water leaks and how it can ultimately destroy a vehicle. I'm super bummed on all of this but hopefully all turns out well. I'll update upon end result for sure. UPDATE. Got in touch with Marie later in day and apparently they have all ready "fixed" the hole in question by siliconing the hole up and putting truck back together. This is before I had a chance to see any pictures of hole and floor mats...(I wanted to see the floor mats since they believe the water was clear since it filtered through mats, if this is the case floor mats would be dirty but I can't confirm that now.) Not very good practice to fix something without owners consents and especially when I had specifically asked her over phone to keep me updated on ANYTHIN Update 2: Talked to Mario upon picking up my truck. Very professional! He has customers interest as a priority. He took care of my truck by making sure there was no water in the cab by sending it to detailing place to have it "baked" and dried before He sent one of his techs to drop it off at my house. Really cool. Let's hope this leak is fixed and nothing comes of this! read more

If I could give the service department zero stars, I would. We've been good customers for a long time but after being verbally abused by Mario over the phone today, I've had enough of these guys. I got a different story depending on who I talked to, they refused to do the right thing the first time and they do not know how to treat customers, especially Mario (the service manager). Please think long and hard before choosing Westlie to buy a car or service your car. You will likely regret your decision if you choose them. 9/7/17: I'm revising my initial rating of this business from a 1 star to 3 stars because eventually the service manager did apologize to me for his behavior. I have a fairly minor warranty issue that needs taken care of on my new pickup, after a stop there on the weekend I was asked to stop back in on a weekday because the parts manager was the only one who could help with the issue. The next business day I stopped in and asked for him, after a short wait he appeared from behind the counter and asked what my problem was. I explained that I have a separated tire on a brand new Ford pickup that needs replacing, he gave me a long blank stare from behind the counter, as if I was a waste of his time. He then asks how many miles I have on the pickup, I responded that I only have 2500 miles...give or take. He then decides that he's going to take a look and "see if he can get a tire like mine". He comes out to my pickup and immediately asks if I'd hit anything with the tire....I responded and let him know that I hadn't. He then says that he's going to be able to tell from the inside of the tire if I had hit anything, and I'm most likely going to have to pay for the tire! Now I'm not an expert, but I had already gotten 2 tire shop opinions before even bothering the parts man at Westlie Ford, and have been assured that it's a simple flaw in the new tire that can cause a catastrophic failure, and should be replaced soon. This "manager" at Westlie Ford took every bit of hope I had of getting some "small town good service", and flushed that straight down the drain! Never again will I buy from, recommend, or say another good word about this dealership because of the way this guy treated me today. Totally tried to make me feel as if I was not important enough for him to do his job, and I was wasting his time!! Won't happen again, I'm sorry for ever spending a dollar at this place. read more

Went to drop off truck and was shocked to learn that service charges a minimum of 125 dollars per issue, i had three issues for them to look at. Anyway my head began to spin so much that i could barely add those minimum charges 375 dollars! Purchased a 2016 ford fiesta from this lot as I wanted to support local business and buy American. The sales team was nice enough, and the salesman was very nice and did not apply the normal pressure you get from most starving dealerships. My issue is with service. They really like the old "could not duplicate" scam ,that I guess they are famous for. At under 15000 miles I brought the vehicle in for a popping out of reverse issue. Its been in there a few more times where they claim they adjust it, but I dont see how, or any improvement. I live on a busy street and it is dangerous to back out of the driveway( this has been explained on several occasions) They are not capable of repairing it, or just choose not to, Hoping the customer will go away. Next issue is the starter, which they claimed they replaced( same issue though less than a month after the supposed repair) in addition to that at the time I picked it up the hood had been damaged by maybe them sliding a tool bag across it( they sent it over to a guy in camas who buffed out the damages they caused. The issue is that the starter works intermittently ( they probably just should have cleaned the connection points, which I brought up to them, they claimed the wires were too rusty at which point I explained to them that non ferrous metal cannot rust, and it should be covered under my extended warranty regardless. ) Today my key broke having been tested by overuse trying to get the starter to kick in. Went to the dealer where I was informed my $179 dollar key was not covered under their warranty, and they would now decline to ever work on it again. The service department is also just not very customer friendly. I had to file a complaint with ford regarding them today but overall I am unsatisfied and doubt the customer relations team at ford will take any of this seriously. When you call the number it is outsourced to India or.some other foreign country, so " buy American, be put off by their outsourced customer relations team" My advice, stay away from this dealer and buy Japanese. I should have known better than to trust ford would be a better American product . Times have changed and integrity no longer exists with them. read more

Would not recommend this facility to anyone. They did not meet any basic expectations of customer service. Hourly rates were to steep, they did not keep timeframe promised. Recommend service for brakes when not needed. Did not clean up after service, left car seat dirty, window unwashed. Complimentary car wash ticket not offered until pressed. The car war wash facility is a two stall garage for the 1950's that is backed-up for cleaning used cars and so could not provide car wash or get any promise for service. Tried getting appointment, said would need to wait in que, for used cars not another customer. I took my Explorer to Westle to have the engine light checked, it was an EGR valve which was covered under warrenty. They also replaced the rear brakes. When I called at 1:00 pm to check on status they could not find any record of truck but would find out and let me know ! at that time (1:00) I told them to go ahead and replace spark plugs since it had 76,000 miles on it . They called me at 3:30 and told me it was done, Great ! Or I thought so until they charged me $407. For changing spark plugs. 3 hours of labor they said ! That's strange because they hadn't had it for 3 hours since I told them to change them ! Flat rate they said, even though online it says that average price to replace is $127- $212. Well OK , shame on me for not asking price. But then it surged going down the road and the Tach would drop 2-300 rpm at idle. It ran like crap. Maybe part of that flat rate should have been to make sure it ran OK ! They drove it because I had just run it thru the car wash and it came back with mud all over the wheels and fenders. When I took it back they seemed put out that I was upset and they didn't know if a "Technition" could just drop everything and fix it ! When they called me to tell me it was done I told them I did not have a ride, they did not offer to bring it to me,' I was going to be looking for a new Ford, but between the service and the high prices on cars. I will be going somewhere else. read more

First time experience at Westlie Ford. Came in for a Ford recall job having had bad customer experiences at the other "local" ford dealers even though it is a long distance from my home. Called in to schedule and was told parts had to be ordered and they will call me back, they called a few days later, we scheduled a week later. I dropped car off in morning with a friend and they told me they would pick me up even though I told them I live 40 minutes away. They didn't hard-sell me on additional work (I have my own repair/service shop local to me and keep my vehicle in top shape) though they suggested possibilities. Late afternoon they called and sent a driver...this is what I call going out of their way to help me although they likely wouldn't do such a long drive again as I was a first-time customer (and I don't blame them for that as I severely ate into their recall-work profits). Everyone I encountered, on the phone, in person at Westlie, and the driver who came an got me was polite, friendly and exceedingly helpful. As far as the experience went in terms of customer service I haven't a single complaint and will definitely give them a shot if my car needs other repair/service if my mechanic says "better to have that done at a dealer", will revisit this review to post those experiences should they occur. As far as the quality of the repair they did I have no way to assess except to say that their mechanics are all Ford certified. read more

First,Let me start by saying I don't usually take the time to leave reviews, and I think 1 star reviews are usually more representative of someone's anger/frustration that the product/service being reviewed. THAT BEING SAID, Westlie Ford has earned a 1 star review in my opinion.I brought in my wife's 2013 Ford Escape (recently purchased elsewhere) for the dealership's service department to identify the cause of a vibration issue that happens during acceleration. I know identifying the cause of these kinds of issues can be difficult to diagnose, so I was hoping the Ford mechanics, who are likely to have the most experience with Ford vehicles, would be able to diagnose the issue most accurately and their efficiency would offset the premium dealership service departments charge over other repair shops. I drop the car off for a diagnostic (quoted at $120, actual cost ~$210) and was told that they couldn't 100% diagnose the issue, but suspected it was the nearly new (but admittedly offbrand) tires the vehicle. They suggest all new tires, but didn't sound confident that would actually fix the problem. I was told "it might help". So I purchase $800 of new, quality tires. Problem still exists. I bring the car in for a second diagnostic (another $120) and they tell me over the phone that it could be the rear CV axles as they noticed a wobble when the vehicle was up on the lift. I pick the car up at the end of the day, but they don't have a quote ready for me, so I plan to return to pay and pick up the quote.  I get a call the next day that the service tech forgot to install the splashguard. No big deal, but an inconvenience as my wife works during their service hours, so I just pick it up and install myself. When I picked up the splashguard,  I paid the second diagnostic fee ($120, running total to date on this issue: ~$1,200) and received a printed quote for services for repairs. Again, I was told REAR CV axles over the phone, but the printout said FRONT CV axles. I asked the lady who was helping me, Marie, about the discrepancy and she crossed out "front" and wrote "rear". This was not a ringing endorsement to me. (Imagine if a doctor did this prior to knee surgery). At this point,I decide to get a second opinion from a local, non-dealership auto repair chain with a good reputation. I  gave them the whole story and description of work that had been done so far. I told them Westlie Ford had identified a wobble in the BACK axle.  The non-Ford mechanic did notice that one of the FRONT CV axles appeared to be bent and wobbling, but they did not observe any issues with the rear axles. Furthermore, the non-Ford mechanics refused to charge me since they couldn't be sure they had identified the problem. I received a price quote for service and trying to figure out next steps. One thing I am fairly certain of is that if I had followed through with Westlie Ford's service department's recommendations, I would be $2,500 in the hole with the EXACT SAME problems.  I WAS going to give two stars, because although the results of the service have been terrible so far, Marie was friendly and personable.  The fact that the Ford's follow up survey process (not really Westlie's fault, but hey, its a Ford thing) was frustrating brings it back down to 1 star. If you are reading this and thing you are getting something extra value for the Ford-approved service, look elsewhere. read more

This place is a goat-rodeo. We called to check their inventory of new Ford Explorers - we were told by a salesman that they had new Explorers available to test drive. We drove all the way to Washougal only to find the sales staff sitting at picnic tables outside (the showroom was under construction). We asked about the Explorers - none of the available salesmen knew what they had and had to check. We were then told Westlie didn't have any in inventory. The lot was a disorganized mess, cars and trucks scattered, no rhyme or reason. We do not recommend this dealership and will seek Ford Explorers elsewhere. read more

Absolutely amazing car buying experience, exactly how it should be imho. The salesman, Kurt didn't pressure me to look at a bunch of models, he kept focused on the ones I was interested in. Manager was awesome, no games, no tactics. Finance guys offered me a couple things, when I declined they moved on. There was no games with prices, what they advertised was exactly what their first offer was, they didn't badger me to apply for credit, or anything even remotely shady. I was in and out quickly, and I would definitely recommend this place. This is my 5th vehicle purchase from a dealer, and this was easily the fastest, least pressured experience that I've ever had. read more

I had a bad experience with the service department at the Ford dealership in the Dales and tried the service department here. What a difference a nice person can make. I had an appt and the gentleman at the counter helped me right away. He said it was at least a one day job and asked if I needed a car and gave me the phone # right away! I didn't get this kind of service at the other place. When I picked up my truck he let me know at my next oil change I will need the new auto check up and how much time it takes, I liked that. Really bad experience with Mario and the service department. Take a look at the picture of my seats, this is a Lariat package. I have less than 4000 miles and the seats started looking stretched and too much material after about a week from driving it off the lot. I'm trying to get West Lie Ford to stand by their product and advocate for me back to the Ford motor company. Today Mario told me to take the car to a different dealership. He has stated there is nothing they can do and my frustration is uncalled for. I'm seeking anyone that is having a similar problem with Ford seats. I also have some leak that is soaking my carpet and I've been back twice now to fix it. They won't acknowledge the problem even though the carpet is soaking wet and the blinker is fast like as if the water is causing a short. They told me go take it some place else. I'm shocked and disappointed. Please let me know if you are also experiencing issues with Ford. Top dollar, low quality both from the factory and at the service department. I just bought a 2010 Ford Flex AWD Limited from Westlie Ford last week and am very happy with the sales process and service after the sale. I bought the car sight unseen and flew in to pick it up a I live a few hundred miles away. The deal was made and the financing arranged (through Westlie Ford) before I got there to streamline the process. Since I had a 6 hour drive home, I didn't give the vehicle as thorough of an inspection as I normally would. Once home, we found a sizeable chip out of a door trim panel, as well as the car wouldn't start two days later due to a dead battery. I contacted my salesman individually as we discovered each of these items. The battery was taken care of right away by their reimbursement of my purchase of a new one, and the broken trim panel was replaced by their parts department and sent to me overnight. I will have to install it, but I'm pretty sure that they would have installed it if I was local and brought it in. If I could give negative stars I would. My Dad worked for ford before his passing in 2015 for over 35 years and I never have had an issue with service until I came to Westlie Ford. First service was great no problems. Second service not so much I left and immediately the check engine light came on I pulled over and opened the hood and the cap for my oil was positioned precariously in the engine compartment thankfully I had not driven far so everything was cool and I was able to reach in and grab it and put back on, later that evening I had gotten onto 14 and I always have my lights set for auto turn on, I have never had a service department turn off the headlights or if they have they take a second and put everything back to the way I have left it this is minor but as I was raised if you use something you put it back to the way you found it. I get on 14 and get pulled over for no headlights thank you Washougal PD for catching that one within the first 40 seconds on the road. Next service I pulled out got on 14 and I noticed a shake in my hood that was not normal. Once again I pulled over and my hood was not closed properly by the service tech. I know this sounds minimal but if I had not been paying attention and the hood would have flown up it could have been seriously life threatening to not only myself but other drivers. For some reason I decided to give Westlie Ford another chance since it is only a few min down the hill from home. Appointment was for 12:00 I respect your time and show up check in my car and sit down waiting by 11:55 a.m. For a normal not a major service and I am still sitting here at 12:30 looking at my car exactly where I parked it. I do not recommend Westlie Ford for any form of service whatsoever, they have literally put my life in jeopardy and show no value or respect for a customers time. read more

Exemplary service from my initial telephone call. We were traveling and our check engine light came on along with our vehicle running rough. I called and spoke to Burton and explained our situation. He said service was booked for the day but that he would get the vehicle in. We drove 20 miles to the dealer hoping we wouldn't breakdown. There was a slight wait to speak with service staff; we ended up speaking with Burton again. He took the time to listen, gave us a ride back to where we were staying and called with the diagnosis. Once the repairs were done, he sent the shuttle to pick us up and we had the car back by the end of the day. Most unprofessional sales staff ever my two salesmen blew me off and wouldn't even give my $35000 offer to management they just shut me down over the phone. i see today that the price has gone down near my offer and they wont even return my texts. Their body shop ruined my brand new Ford Edge Titanium. Literally the car was less than a month old when I took it in to get a small dent repaired. They fixed the dent; did a sub par paint job; created a second dent and additional scratches in the process ;then proceeded to use a horrible orange scented cleaner that they admitted should have never been used on the interior that completely destroyed the new car smell. The rig smelled like a gas station bathroom. They hooked the car up to some kind of ozone cleaner to get rid of the orange smell and now when you turn the heater on, you get this lingering chemical smell. It cost me nearly a $1,000 for this service. No offer to refund my money. They wanted me to bring it back a third time to see if they could fix it, but every time I have taken it in they've done additional damage to the car. Doubt I'll give them a third shot at it. Now I'm stuck making new car payments on a decidedly used smelling and looking car. It's too bad as the sales experience was actually pretty good. Just whatever you do don't ever take your car to their body shop. I asked their general manager to give me a call to resolve the matter. Not a peep. He sloughed his responsibility onto the service manager who really can't do anything beyond keep offering try to fix it again. read more

I don't who these people are that are raving about this dealer, they must be family and friends or maybe they just dealt with the sales guys. As for service people (the ones up front, I can not speak to repair guys), they have ZERO customer service skills, they are downright rude, unpolite with no etiquette. I do not know how much they are paid or if they are part of the family there, and I honestly do not care, but if you are working in the environment that is customer focused you better be customer friendly. These guys are anything but! I go here for oil changes because it is close to where I live, but other than that I would not go to this dealer for service unless you want to get ripped off and be treated like it is your fault they have to show up for work every day. You can sense they are depressed and have no desire to help you. Save yourself the trouble and time by going somewhere else for service. And Westlie, if you are reading this (which would really surprise me), please invest in some customer service training for those people up front or get new people, somebody that can open their mouth and explain things nicely without the attitude. read more

I called on a part because I had been into the other Ford store in Vancouver which did not have it. At the first one the said that it could be ordered and in on Monday. I was there Friday morning. So tried Westlie. The guy that I talked to was very helpful and was going to check and call back. Well I got the call and was told that they would have the part in a couple hours. It was from a part store in Portland. I appreciate the time that he took to find it and get it! Great customer service unlike the first place I went to! read more
