I gave them five stars at the time due to the exceptional service, friendliness, and respect I was shown. The loan became due recently and I felt compelled to update my experience due to some of the negative reviews. First off, I received emails and text messages reminding me that my due date was coming up. I even received a phone call from Lalo, manager, to let me know. When I informed him that I was trying to get the money to pay off the loan as I didn't want to lose the jewelry I had given as collateral, he told me to just stay in contact and keep him informed. I had to call him three times to keep getting extensions past the final grace period due date. Every single time, Lalo was so gracious and reassured me that my jewelry would not be sold and extended the time I requested. It took me an additional week and a half to pay the loan and pick up my jewelry. I had two items and they were packed individually in bubble wrap and put inside a nice box. The level of care taken to store my jewelry should tell you enough of how great this pawn shop is. All the negative reviews, I suspect, has more to do with the individual than how they were actually treated. I've had occasion to use three different pawn shops in the past and I would recommend this pawn shop over any other.
