West Side Billiards is a hidden gem. I was craving a burger and beer after work and finally decided to stop in. The burger was solid and damn, they kick down a ton of fries! Old school style lunch counter which was really cool! You just don't see too many old school lunch counters these days. 5 different beers on tap, I went with the Kona, plus bottled beers too. At the bare minimum you should stop in for a taste of San Jose history! I will definitely be back. read more

Moved out from Socal to find another hole in the wall billiards. It's a vibe and enjoyed the environment and the fact they have the music box here is as well a plus. Tried a new beer Island IPA and that kept me there for awhile. Pricing is not that bad compared to other billiards. I would come here again. It a recommendation but if you want a table try coming early we were lucky to grab one in the knick of time. The service here I give a 10/10. The owners are nice. read more

I love that they have maintained the vintage look, they have also remodeled a portion of the hall for dining. The AMI jukebox is a plus. Overall great experience. This place is a hidden gem. Period. Been frequenting west side since it reopened and must say it's my favorite place for pool in the area! Burgers are cheap and a perfect late night bite. I've been wanting to try this place for some time now. We stopped in and had a great time. Ordered the pepper steak sandwich, the burger with jalapenos and jack cheese and pickles ( cant remember the name) and garlic fries. I figured ithe food was going to be good when I saw him pull out some seasoning. And...it was really delicious! There is seating available and it's cute. I would recommend just eating there if you are thinking about eating before you go play. You won't be disappointed and the folks serving it up are really pleasant. There are multiple TV'S so that you can catch a game or something while you're playing. There appears to be a wide selection of beer. I saw a juke box as well. Parking can be a little challenging during the day but it's worth the challenge sometimes to have a little fun. We will surely be back! read more

Pints are decently priced and the tables are nice. It's got chill vibes, and the best part is they have an awesome bill splitting system where the bill will automatically split the cost of the table and they keep track of who orders what drink so it's extremely easy to split the bill at the end. We both immediately felt comfortable being there even though we have never played pool/billiards before, and both the people there and the owners were incredibly kind and authentic. Quality Tables & Cues!!!! And what a Vibe! A group of friends and I visited West Side Billiards for the first time yesterday and we all couldn't believe the atmosphere. Right when we walked in we were greeted, then we were handed balls and we were on the table less than 1 minute later. Another minute after that we had drinks and were racking balls. The service is great! The man and woman working at the time were excellent. They both made rounds to clear empty and drinks and never had us waiting at the bar for drink. The spacing is perfect. The tables are spaced out a good amount to allow very minimal interference with other tables. Occasionally you may have to wait fora player at another table to take a shot but I think this happened twice when were there for 2 hours. I also like that aspect of it since it allows you to shoot the shit with other players. The bar, kitchen, and restroom are all less than 20 footsteps from any table. The chairs around the tables are at a perfect distance, my friend was able to take a shot while I was sitting in the closest chair to the table at the worse case shot location and I did not have to move. Did I mention the spacing is perfect? The tables are large, I want to say 9 feet but at least 8 feet for sure. The tables are level & the felt is quality and or brand new! I was able to take long slow shots and watch the ball stay true the whole length of the table. Last thing! I was very impressed with is the pool cues. We had 4 different players and I grabbed 4 different cues off the wall and set them on the table and rolled the cues on the table. I was surprised to see that none of the cues lifted off the table and they were all straight. read more
