Great place to hang out with friends on a weekday & weekend! Service is great and the drinks are always made perfectly. I enjoy coming here when I have the chance!

Be careful coming here!!!!!!!!!!! This place added a 20% tip to my bill without telling me. That's not okay, a tip is supposed to be optional, not something they sneak in. It honestly feels dishonest. Check your receipt and your bank account because they clearly hope people won't notice. I won't be coming back.

This dive bar is down the street from work & we enjoyed the low key vibe on a Thursday afternoon. The bartender was great, service was amazing and I loved the divey feel. Definitely worth making a regular stop for drinks after a hard work day.

It was much closer to what I had in Melbourne Australia where a LOT of Malaysians emigrated to. None of the other places I have tried in the US compared. We also ordered the spicy noodle dish with seafood. Lots of protein which was very helpful as we are both trying to have more protein and less carbs. (Doggone Rice and Noodles!!) We were very pleased with what we ate and of course our phenomenal service. The mocktails were great. No dessert because we were too full. I'm coming back for the crab. I wasn't dressed for messy food so I skipped it this time. Thanks for a lovely dinner, Straits!!! I'll bring my Aussie partner and make sure he is hungry. I'm sorry, I put my phone away because we were having a special day for my bday. But I will never forget what a nice meal I had at Straits.

Finally greeted and asked where we would like i sit. Out on the front patio seemed like the right move. It was NOT! Tables and chairs and too close together. Tables were dirty. That should have been the first sign to leave. Nope we are here maybe this will turn. Well the host comes wiped the table and brings menus, her energy was lacking but whatever. Server comes with only 2plate settings and cups for water, there were 5 of us so he had to come back with the remaining. We ordered chicken lollipops dry with sauce on the side, spicy noods, prawns, shaken filet, egg fried rice, potstickers, tropical ice tea, a custom soda and 2 canned sodas. Asked for a pitcher of lemon water for the table and requested food come out at the same time. Well chicken lollipops with SAUCE and prawns came out first. How frustrating my son didn't want anything to do with them. Kept them cause we don't like sending food back. Ordered A plain cheeseburger so he can eat, just meat and cheese, well that comes with sauce! Ugh had to play mind games with son and tell him it was cheese melted. The potstickers were falling apart, the shaken filet had no flavor just chewy meat, the family liked the rice, noods and prawns. The lemon water never came. I'm just glad we got out of there. I was hoping for a better experience for a $250 bill but I guess I'll go with Yelp Next time! there were warnings but I wanted to give a chance.

Staff were mostly very good, but it did feel like there was some preferential seating. Food!! (Bill for 3 people was $160 pre-tip, $185 post) Mezze Platter (Opted for 5 dips + crispy lamb) 8.5/10: Really good shareable app, comes with fluffy pita and crispy chips and many dips like hummus, something similar to baba ganoush, and some yogurt-like varieties. the lamb was supriisingly very good, but it is a small portion probably meant for 2 people max. Falafel Bites 9/10: Would be closer to a 9.5 but there's only 4 tiny falafels included. That said, they are some of the tastiest and moist falafels i've ever had!! love it with the sauce plated underneath. Filet Mignon 7.5/10: Just a decent filet. They nailed the medium rare cookery, but the flavors felt a bit on the sweeter side for me. Meat quality felt solid, but nothing special. Octopus 7.5/10: Pretty good octopus but nothing too memorable compared to other spots. Harissa flavor was subtle for me. Za'atar Chicken Half 7/10: Flavor felt lacking and it was fairly dry/overcooked. This is the only item i regret ordering, and i'm an avid chicken lover!

I ordered the short rib eggs Benedict, and the meat tasted old, like it had been sitting since the day before. The service was also poor. When we were ready to pay, we waited for a long time and no one came to help us. Overall, the food quality, service, and wait times were unacceptable. I will not be returning.

The ambiance is beautiful and welcoming, and your team truly sets the tone -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. It makes such a difference and keeps us coming back. We've always enjoyed the food -- I especially love the pan-roasted chicken, it's just lovely. And every time I have the burger, it takes me right back to France, where I lived for over 17 years in the south. That kind of authenticity is hard to find and so appreciated. What makes it even more special is that my husband occasionally gets to converse in French with some of your staff -- which he absolutely loves. It adds such a personal and authentic touch to the experience. For our wedding anniversary last year, your staff really went above and beyond to take care of us. We had such a wonderful night, and it's a memory we truly cherish. This is one of those places we feel confident recommending to anyone. The regular menu is also very limited, so I went for the cheeseburger. My Left Bank Cheeseburger was overcooked, smothered in arugula, and the top bun was almost too hard to bite. My partner had the lemon linguini which was much too rich and saucy. Also, the outdoor seating was in between two live musicians that night, which is no fault of the restaurant, but took away from the experience. The service was fine, however, and attentive enough.
