It is now 2025/2026 and Cheryl's younger sister has taken over the business with Cheryl semi-retiring. The service is still amazing and very caring to the dogs, and Des is modernizing the operations with on-line bookings and automated reminders....very cool. I am on the 4th generation of my dogs, where I bring all 4 dogs for grooming/spa treatment. They all come out looking great. Des is very mindful of the dogs state of mind and does everything to try to provide a calm atmosphere for the dogs. For the caring service and great grooming the dogs receive, her rates are very reasonable. They actually seem to look forward to their spa treatment, unlike when I take them to the Vet.

I walked in and…read morechecked in and she seemed a little overwhelmed/wanting to get the day done with (we were her last client of the day). She asked me what kind of cut I wanted and I let her know I wanted a mohawk style cut and she said she didn't understand what I wanted, I then tried to show her using my dogs body and she was still confused and started getting an attitude. She told me to pick a blade size before she could proceed and I tried telling her that I wanted to first show her what I meant and she ignored it and walked away and turned off the music and then started to walk back. My mom had been with me and told me I should leave and not allow her to cut my dog. She must've overheard my mom say this because her attitude immediately shifted and she became a little bubbly and kinder. I let her know I didn't want the mohawk anymore because it seemed too difficult to communicate with her what I wanted and I would just do a trim all over and to round his face out. She then let me know typically only poodles do that cut and asked if I was sure I wanted that cut (completely unnecessary comment). I let her know he has been getting groomed and that is his typical cut when we don't do something fun/funky. I only stayed because my dog was in need of a haircut and I was already there. I really hoped the haircut would come out great since it was the same cut on his entire body and then just face shaping and she made it a point to let me know she's been a stylist for 30 years. I had to fix up the parts that were extremely uneven and I fixed behind his ears which were not groomed in the same places. She also let me know when I picked him up how much of a good boy he was for her so I'm even more confused by the uneven cutting. I will definitely not be returning and I am so disappointed by her service because the guy (Chris) who booked my appointment was so friendly and helpful.

They then contacted me the day before asking me if I could come in the next morning instead of the 3:00 pm scheduled time. I told them I could not because I work in the morning and was starting early so I could drop my dog off at 3:00 pm. After some messaging back and forth, they ended up being able to accommodate us. I dropped off about 20 minutes early, and got a text message when grooming was complete. Lots of open parking stalls when I was there. They are able to take CC with a small service fee. I'm happy with the overall outcome and will be back when it's time again.

I booked a bath and nail trim for him on the day I was scheduled to pick him up. The appointment notes explicitly stated that he was already at the kennel.The day before his appointment, they texted me asking to bring in his shot records. I replied to let them know that MWR Kennel already had all of his paperwork on file, and they texted back saying, "okay thanks."Despite this, on the day of pickup, they completely forgot to get my dog for his spa appointment. They even had him marked down as a "NO SHOW" in their system! When I informed them about it, they simply said "oops." I pointed out that the appointment notes clearly stated he was in the kennel, and they even admitted that the notes were right there. It is completely unacceptable to miss an appointment and blame the customer when all the correct information was provided to them beforehand.

I love the pictures they send at the end of their session that go by monthly themes! This place is located across the street from Saver's in Waipahu. There's typically always parking, especially in the morning. During the weekend, parking is sometimes tough. We recommend Royalty Groomers and especially Nicole! As a result, I very seldom get to go on any kind of vacation. I was very nervous leaving my birds with anybody. Some are on medications, several are "special needs", and all of them are loved to their very core my their mama bear...ME! I found Savena's ad on CL and gave her a call. She was and is very professional and exuded confidence right off the bat. She didn't "noticeably" flinch as I explained to her what all would be involved and the number of animals she would have to care for. She came over for about 3 training sessions before the actual day to make sure she was comfortable with the morning routine of my beloved parrots. By the time I left for my trip I was still a little nervous but knew my kids were in good hands. She was on time every morning to start at 6am and did everything that was on her task list. She went above and beyond my expectations by sending pictures of the kids and showing that the work was complete and done correctly every day. She even spent her own time letting me do Google Hangouts with them when I needed a fix! Her rates are more than fair and I would trust her any time with all my animals and even to live in if need be for longer trips. Finally my chains are broken and I can get away now and then thanks to Savena. I give her my strongest recommendation because my husband, who did not go on vacation with me this time, said even HE trusts her and that's saying something since we're so protective over our "kids". He has black nails and does not let me touch his paws, which led me to find a professional to get his nails trimmed. We used to go to Petsmart but discontinued due to the inconvenience of reaching someone via phone call and finding a groomer who would do a good job with his nails. This is what led me to try out Mucky Pups (in addition to receiving information via word of mouth which also added credibility to Mucky Pup's services.) I instantly fell in love. When we walked up, it was such a cute, cozy, and welcoming space. We were instantly greeted by Isabelle, who is so friendly and kind to Copper Bear. She allowed us to be in the grooming room and watch him have his nails trimmed. Not only were we able to be there, she was so hospitable and fun to talk to. We felt so welcomed and could trust her instantly! Most of all, she does a wonderful job of trimming Copper's nails. We were so pleased with the results. Isabelle has been our groomer since moving to O'ahu in fall 2024. She's the only groomer I will go…read moreto know. My boys come home smelling and looking fresh every time. Her grooming area is warm and welcoming and has a side yard that's easy to access to her grooming shed. My Golden Retriever Leo leaves looking like a show dog. My Chesapeake Bay Retriever Dexter receives a wonderful blow out. Their shedding decreases substantially. I've been back several times over the past year and I'm so glad this location is near by. I would rather have this gem than go to PetSmart any day (She is also more affordable than going to PerSmart)! My boys also love Isabelle! Bless her heart; She even rescued them once when they escaped their yard AND she brought them home for me (what a godsend that was). Dexter has trusts issues, he is skiddish and doesn't like strangers, but he loves Isabelle! We also had a Christmas photo shoot for the dogs and my daughters had pictures with the boys.
