About two weeks ago, my favorite K-pop group, LE SSERAFIM, was in town and during the encore, they came out in full UW gear. After researching, I found out that the gear was from University Book Store. I really wanted to buy the hat that Chaewon wore and was able to find and buy one there. It was a University Book Store exclusive printed/embroidered on '47 brand Hat. There is a reason I am telling this story though! While I was there, I looked around and see what kind of merchandises they were selling and I noticed that they have done collaboration with quality brands such as Lululemon, Champion (reverse Weave), Adidas, '47 Brand, New Era, etc. Clearly, whoever is in charge of designing the fan gear here knows what they are doing. They also had a clearance section upstairs with items marked down up to 50%. If you're a current UW student or UW Alumni and haven't been here in recent years like me, I highly recommend checking it out. Check out my photos of all the UW gears that LE SSERAFIM members wore during the concert.

I've also noticed that books are arranged similarly to Barnes & Noble. I've been told that the books are carefully arranged and sorted via subcontracted by Barnes & Noble, so if you're interested in that, this is definitely the place for you. The prices are a bit high, but they do go back into student support and activities, so it's a good investment. Also, there is a 20% discount or specific dates and timelines along with promotionals for students. but I don't think that these discounts apply to text books. I definitely recommend a university bookstore.

Since I was out of…read morewarranty with Apple, I came to their University District store at referral from Apple service because the local Apple Store was all backed up. GoEBITS was able to see me that same day, conduct a quick diagnosis, and do the repair all in their own shop - no need to send out to an outside repair center. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very communicative. My repair was complete within the week - which was much appreciated since I depend so much on my Mac. While it wasn't cheap - it's something I anticipated since I unfortunately didn't have Apple Care (a learning by itself!). I highly recommend them!

Now the reason this review isn't 4 or 5 stars is because COMMUNICATION seems to be an issue aside from my device being there for over a month in waiting for a battery "that worked" & the internal connector or such to be fixed. The timing wasn't so much an issue as the lack of communication was. It's like I would like to at some point have an answer or my device back after a month. Because if you've got back ups or are absent minded, then they'll keep your stuff for a long time if you forget it's there. Otherwise, communication in actually calling & giving updates would be good instead of wondering if your device is just sitting there or is being used as a paper weight.....

I heartily recommend Daniel's work. He gave my ten-year-old Macbook Pro a new lease on life. Now I…read moredon't need to pay 2 arms and 2 legs for a new laptop in the middle of the 2026 rampocalypse. Daniel was able to replace a dead, swollen battery and a bad speaker, at a price which I considered reasonable, and with amazing speed (considering that those items are glued into the top case of the laptop). He told me which day he would be able to start the work, and arranged with me to bring it back in on that day. The work was completed exactly as promised, and I had it back in my hands before I even missed it. He also gave me some excellent advice. For example, this laptop has the famously flaky "butterfly" keyboard and it was typing double-letters. He was very clear, before starting the work, that the job to replace the keyboard was difficult and risky (again, because it's glued into the top case). It's hard to source a good keyboard, and might result in a keyboard that would just go flaky again. So he just stuck with the agreed-upon battery and speaker fixes. (Later, it turns out that I was able to replace the individual flaky key switches myself without having to remove the keyboard at all.) His most valuable advice was to teach me about the existence of a third-party tool ("OCLP") which would allow me to install OS 13 onto the laptop even though Apple only allows OS 12 on it. After getting the laptop back from the battery replacement, I tried it, and it's working great on OS 13 now. This was important and well-timed advice, because Chrome is going to stop releasing updates for OS 12 this month. And while I was in the shop talking to him, he was multitasking and helping other customers, too. He matter-of-factly fixed a bad audio driver on one lady's Windows laptop as they stood there at the counter. I'm very impressed and satisfied with the work. It's like having a new laptop again. So if you need your laptop repaired, definitiely bring it in and have him give you an estimate. I wish I had done it sooner.

I worked with this company 3 different times and gave the same exact request on the website,…read morehowever, each time I got a different product. The communication with the employees also kept getting weirder and weirder. They gave me a price quote the first time I worked with them. The second time they asked me to call them on the phone to discuss the details of the print job. They then asked me to come in the store to verify the product. I went to the store and brought the product from the first time as an example. We did a test print and it looked pretty good. Then when I picked up the product it was on a completely different type of paper??? It just seemed like I wasted a lot of time going into the store. This most recent time was probably the weirdest experience I've ever had working with a print company. I sent in my quote and received an email that just said "ready". ???? No confirmation of receiving the file, no price quote, nothing. I went to the store (online it says they closed at 9pm but apparently they close at 8pm now), picked up the product, and of course it was printed on a different type of paper than what was expected. When I told the employee I had a previous price quote they called the boss to clarify. They eventually honored it BUT instead of $52 the employee inputted $54 thinking I wouldn't notice??? Idk it all just seemed lowkey shady to me. Overall the company works fast and is cheaper in comparison to other places I've worked with. But with weird communication and questionable actions, I don't think I'd go back. Also I've used these prints to giveaway as concert freebies, and one time I heard someone laugh at how the image was blurry I don't think it was that bad but it definitely was a little fuzzy, and that was embarrassing lol
