Now this place is full of nostalgia--the awkward arcade, the horrible paper towel dispensers, the constant lack of soap in the dispensers, the smell of coconut oil and shoe crust... Seeing the usher at the front always makes me smile. I remember when my friends used to work here and they'd tell me all about how it was a lot of waiting. Being greeted by a teenager is refreshing and takes me way back. Ticket prices remain COMPETITIVE! I got the movie pass and bought tickets for 5 movies for several folks for just over $100. This place is bustling over the holidays and I hope -- just hope they are able to hang on!

This space would suit a well-curated art house, classic cinema, and rarely seen films for a large swath of audiences in the Brazos Valley. I live right around the corner and the 50th Anniversary screening of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon was the first film since their launch (in current iteration)...it was fun to experience on a large screen. 3.) What is unclear from the online presence is that food can be served to your seat. I looked extensively in the sight but this was not evident to me until we arrived. The menu is very pedestrian, burgers, greasy fries and more fried things, and standard salads. Again, nothing special or unique. 4.). Why are tickets for future screenings unavailable since they are already advertised? Also, there was a lot of noise in the lobby during the film and the house lights did not come up after the film concluded. I WANT to support a local one-screen experience Downtown, but how I miss the reopening days of this place when it was diversely curated and a human being sat in the ticket booth to welcome you into the Experience of The Queen. Fun colors! The theater seems to have really upgraded its higher level theater situation. By that I mean IMAX, RPX, and 4DX, etc. This past weekend I saw my first 4DX movie, and let me tell you, it was an EXPERIENCE. You need to go into it literally thinking about a rollercoaster. I was truly not expecting the seats to move as much as they did - we're talking lifting, tilting, twisting, and turning. There are light effects, wind, snow, water - the works! During the previews they give you kind of a practice run, and I was worried I was going to hate it! They basically showed off all the effects at once and it was overwhelming, but once we were in the movie, it was awesome. We went to see Resident Evil, which is loosely based off a video game, and seeing this film under those conditions really brought everything to life! We had a ton of fun, and with the right movie would definitely do it again. Definitely recommend, but only if you know what you're getting yourself into! Don't choose this option if you are prone to motion sickness.

And there're two banks with two ATM machines located within a block of the square - so it's no problem that they don't take credit cards.
