Was told by a local they were open and everyone was going. Wasn't sure what to expect, but love the decor and the vibe. Smaller menu of food items, but they have a good bar selection. I got the pretzel's and brisket smash burger. Pretzels were amazing! Smash burger was good. Surprisingly I didnt tealize inwas getting 2, i thought is was a double patty. The chips were maybe barbeque? Sweet. I will have dinnmer tomorrow. I struggled with the rating but giving them a 4 anyway. I am southern, laid back and easy. I sat in the alcove and no one xame to check on me at all. I asked another customer to make sure no one got my food so I could get comdiments, a to go box and another drink. The first time I was checked in was to take trash and tell me they'd bring the bill. I am going to chalk it up to growing pains since they've only been open a week. I will be back because I want to try the Bucknner Beef and at 6 p.m. they were sold out... it must be good. We'll see if they have caught their stride when I'm back in a month.

Lov the atmosphere and wings and Westy's beer. Great lunch watching the game. Just be mindful of their hours.

Great atmosphere. Need to put condiments on the table. Smash burger was ok. Service was ok. This place could be better

We were looking for a simple summer evening with a little West Point character, and Zulu Time…read moredelivered exactly that. The rooftop has fantastic energy. Between the sweeping views of the Hudson River and Hudson Highlands, the warm summer air, and a DJ keeping the atmosphere lively without overwhelming the conversation, it's the kind of place where you plan to stay for one drink and somehow the entire evening disappears. By the end of the night, our group had managed to eat our way through most of the menu. Nothing was trying to reinvent the wheel, but everything was well prepared, satisfying, and exactly what we wanted for a relaxed rooftop gathering. The food isn't the reason to come--it's the complete experience. Naturally, we leaned into the fun. The Moscow Mule served in a take-home copper mug was an easy decision, and once we spotted the "Double Tap" special (beer, shot, commemorative cup, and T-shirt), there was no turning back. We wanted to make sure we'd remember the night long after we crossed back over the river. The staff deserves a special mention. They handled our large group--including kids--with patience, flexibility, and genuine hospitality. Everyone felt welcome, which isn't always easy with a bigger party. As a former Marine Corps infantry officer, it pains me just a little to hand a five-star review to an Army establishment... but credit where it's due. Zulu Time earned it. I can't imagine the Hotel Thayer without this. It's exactly the kind of place I'll be bringing friends and family from the Garrison, Cold Spring, and greater Hudson Valley area whenever they want a laid-back evening with one of the best rooftop views around.

First time trying this place and if I'm ever in the area I'd definitely come back. The ambiance and…read moredecor are really hip and inviting. You can scan the vinyl for sale at the in store record shop, hit the arcade games and chill in the lounge/speakeasy downstairs, play board or card games at a table near the bar, and try the delicious crafted cocktails! Oh, there's alsoa food menu! We had to sit ourselves and order at the bar but the honey buffalo salad and burger were (surprisingly) some of the best bar meals I've had. I'll go anywhere to look at Bruce Springsteen's face and get buzzed off a martini called Purple Rain. Count me in girrrrl

First time being on Main Street in Beacon, and I must say there is a good scene happening here…read more Plenty of options for food but we chose here. TVR is a restaurant/record store/hangout. We went around 5pm, and saw the sign "Seat Yourself & Order At The Bar". Ok... So I asked a bartender for 2 menus, and found a booth. We decided quickly, and I made my way to the bar. Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Fries were not that hot, but we ate them anyway. Afterwards, we went downstairs and played some old school arcade games and then headed out. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !
