This was a rooftop bar located on the top of my hotel. The location was amazing. Gives you a beautiful view overlooking the Hudson River. Plenty of places to sit. My boyfriend had a nice time just sitting up there, enjoying some cocktails and talking. Service was quick. The bar was not that busy, but I figured it was because it's not exactly their prime season yet. They serve until 2am which is nice. Drinks are nice and strong.

    Yum!

Had the crab cakes here and it was a delight! It definitely wasn't enough but when are crab cakes ever enough? I could've had 50 and it may still not be enough! They added an aioli sauce that made it slightly spicy but a well put together combo. Setting was on the rooftop of the Thayer Hotel overlooking the Hudson River. Beautiful!

Outstanding staff drinks were perfectly mixed and the ambiance was outstanding! I always enjoy my time there when visiting West Point.

First time being on Main Street in Beacon, and I must say there is a good scene happening here…read more Plenty of options for food but we chose here. TVR is a restaurant/record store/hangout. We went around 5pm, and saw the sign "Seat Yourself & Order At The Bar". Ok... So I asked a bartender for 2 menus, and found a booth. We decided quickly, and I made my way to the bar. Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Fries were not that hot, but we ate them anyway. Afterwards, we went downstairs and played some old school arcade games and then headed out. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !

First time trying this place and if I'm ever in the area I'd definitely come back. The ambiance and…read moredecor are really hip and inviting. You can scan the vinyl for sale at the in store record shop, hit the arcade games and chill in the lounge/speakeasy downstairs, play board or card games at a table near the bar, and try the delicious crafted cocktails! Oh, there's alsoa food menu! We had to sit ourselves and order at the bar but the honey buffalo salad and burger were (surprisingly) some of the best bar meals I've had. I'll go anywhere to look at Bruce Springsteen's face and get buzzed off a martini called Purple Rain. Count me in girrrrl

I had this place bookmarked on Yelp and so glad we finally got to come!…read more First of all, the photos don't do this place justice or even walking by it because inside, it's a whole vibe. A friend said it looked like somewhere in Williamsburg and I couldn't agree more. Came here with friends to enjoy a night of catching up and enjoying delicious drinks and food. We started with some drinks - I got the snap dragon with tequila, mezcal, snap pea juice, vermouth and lime. The presentation was everything! From the local cheese to the crudite (edamame dip + seasonal vegetables). Their seasonal farm to table menu is everything. We were absolutely mind blown by the zucchini with pistachio pesto. From the way it was scored to the way it was cooked to the delicious sauce. A perfect 10! For my entree, I ordered the wild mushroom risotto (great vegetarian options here by the way). My ooooooooonly "complaint" is that it was for sure on the saltier side and waaaaaaaaaay too much garlic for my personal taste. That's the only thing it felt like it took over and overpowered the dish. And my breath lol! HAHA Other than that, can't wait to come back here on a date. The indoor/outdoor space is incredible. Loved dining with the big back garage/style door open so you can be inside but have a bit of the outside with you. This place is incredible and can't wait to try more of their dishes. Also, be patient. Food and items might seem to take longer, and it's absolutely worth it. Everything is being prepared for you on the spot :)

I've been a regular at The Wild and have visited many times with my parents for lunch, which is why…read morethis review is especially disappointing to write. We ordered a Lumen Tonic, Garden, coffee, satay, two Low & Slow dishes, and an Upstream. The service was friendly as always, and the drinks were good. However, the food was noticeably different from what I've come to expect. The portions were significantly smaller than on previous visits, and several ingredients had been changed. I understand and appreciate the farm-to-table concept and seasonal menu rotations, but this felt less like a thoughtful seasonal update and more like substitutions that diminished the dishes. Earlier this year, the presentation, ingredient balance, and portion sizes were outstanding. This time, all three fell short, and no one at our table enjoyed the meal as much as before. The biggest disappointment, however, was the patio experience. Throughout our lunch, staff repeatedly wheeled leaking garbage bags past our table from the trash storage area, leaving liquid on the ground and a strong odor. The smell was noticeable from the moment we sat down and made what should have been a pleasant outdoor meal much less enjoyable. This seems like an operational issue that deserves immediate attention, as guests should never have to dine next to leaking trash. I've attached photos showing the liquid that leaked from the garbage bags and the location of the trash storage area. I'm also including photos from a previous visit so the owners can see the difference in presentation and portion sizes. I didn't take photos of the food this time because, quite honestly, the dishes were no longer photo-worthy--a stark contrast to my previous visits, when they were both beautiful and generous. I genuinely hope this was an off day because The Wild has been one of my favorite places in the area. The restaurant has a great concept, and the staff has always been welcoming. But if the smaller portions, ingredient changes, and dining experience I had on this visit become the new standard, I'm not sure I'll be returning. I sincerely hope the owners take this feedback to heart and preserve the quality that earned them loyal customers in the first place.
