Worst fuckin store ever. Bought several fish from them, salt a fresh, bot instances got ich within a week. Spoke to the owner. He said the dose tanks with some stuff I ha e never heard of, it wasn't copper, it seems to just mitigate symptoms not cure the illness. Prices are 3x higher than online stores. Bought a red tail from them in November asked details and behaviors, the neglected to inform me of the size they would get. Within 5 months hit 8in long and 1.5in diameter, I got co corned for the health of the fish in a 40gal. They said they would help me out and give store credit. I paid $40 for him at 2in long, the gave me $20 at 8in long and are now selling him for $200. These fish need 3000 gallons to prosper. The obviously don't give a fuck about the fish or their customers all they care about is their bottom line. They don't greet when you walk in the store until you ask for help and seem annoyed when they have to get off their phones. Definitely will never do business here again and will look forward to the business demise. When the store was tropic pets the OG owner actually gave a fuck, his grandson does not share the same interest, use this store at your own risk and always QT what you get from these fucks. They use to be real good back in the day but now they are more so meh. I walked in the store and wasn't even greeted by a single one of the 3 that were sitting at the front register talking amongst themselves. Prices are not cheap, expect to pay a a chunk of change for some fish. The only reason I would come here is for salt water fish, but like I said they are not cheap. read more

I had been buy fish from this store for the past several years and 2 weeks ago I purchased an algae eater for my tank. 3 days after the purchase the algae eater died. a few days later I noticed white spots on all of my other fish at that point I realized that they had contracted ich. I contacted the pet store but they blamed the situation on everything else except the fact that they had sold me a sick fish that contaminated my entire tank. At this point I have lost everyone of my fish to this disease even though I bought medication to treat the disease from the pet store. I'm very disappointed in the service I received and will never spend another dollar at this establishment. PLEASE EXAMINE YOUR FISH THOROUGHLY BEFORE LEAVING THIS STORE. My family and I have decided NOT to support this company any longer. My son purchased a gar fish for his dad (on his birthday which is in November) and in January of 2021, decided to get rid of him because he's eating up the other fish that are in the tank even after we feed him bottom feeders. The owner refused to give us credit towards replacing the silver backs (2) and/ or two Oscar's we recently purchased from him. His attitude towards my request rub me the wrong way therefore my family and I have decided to take spend our earnings with someone else. read more

Bought an Emperor Angel from the store and added him to my Red Sea tank of 7 years. All my fish were healthy and parameters perfect. The Emperor died a few days later and had ich. An ex employee had told me they do not put copper in there tanks and when an issue arises the pound the tanks with medication. Called the store and could care less. Many other aquarium stores I deal with stand behind there fish within a few days and will ask to bring in a water sample to see if any issues. A tew days later many of my fish died many rare and the Emperor was the only new fish in a while. Lost over $1000 worth of fish. FUCK this store. I would not buy a plastic coral from them. I know this is a fish store but I found a tank for $100 cheaper than petco and $50 cheaper than any I could find. I highly recommend this store. The guys were nice helped me carry everything out and the tank is great! Brand new 20 gallon for $45!!! Crazy. I definitely recommend this store. Went there CHRISTmas Eve and bought 2 fish from them. They both died in 24 hours and they won't even fix it! They were CHRISTmas gifts from my daughter to her grandfather! Cool place. They have a lot of big fish. It's a good place to go if you have larger/aggressive fish and need to find some that will be closer to their size. I got my cherry shrimp here, and they have lived longer than I expected. The only thing I didn't like was constantly being asked if I needed help and how I was followed around a lot. Wow. Just returned home from a truly disgusting experience at this store. Much like many of the other reviewers on Google reviews who had awful customer service experiences, I had one similar. The three men who own this store ganged up on me after I tried to return a mislabeled product that I attemped to use (after calling the company even they admitted it was mislabeled and did not know why). They were so disgruntled by my request to return the product that one of them told me things like, "you had an attitude the last time you came in, I even told him you did after I left" I was appalled that a store owner would openly admit to talking behind a customers back. He told me it was his store and he could do whatever he wanted, gave me back my six bucks and told me never to come back, stating "we don't want you here". Don't worry, you won't be seeing me again. Never ever have had an experience like this in any store. I don't ever write negative reviews, even when a small business gives bad service, but this was a whole other level I've never encountered. read more

My husband affectionately refers to this store as his "fish guy". This store is 30 minutes away from our home (without traffic) and we still go out of our way to go there for our aquarium needs. We were novices to the fish world and bought our first 55 gallon aquarium from Wet Pets. The staff there has decades of experience with all types of tanks/fish (size, fresh/salt water, etc). They walked us through every step of the process - how to maintain/clean the tank, the types of fish to get, you name it. Their prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection of tanks, fish and maintenance products. If nothing else, stop by and see the "big cat fish".... I will never be back. We drove over an hour to come here because we didnt want to go to walmart or petsmart for our fish. We thought this place would be better for freshwater fish! We were so wrong!!! When I was there the guy was rude that helped me. I asked questions and sometimes had him repeat himself because I am brand new at this. He was so rude. So I bought 4 fish. My Jellybean Parrot Fish died today which is 5 days after purchase. I called them and told them and they said it was my fault and the water was probably bad. I told them I just got the water professionally tested and they asked for the numbers. They admitted my water checked out fine. I said the fish had swim bladder and was unhealthy, which is not my fault. They basically said oh well there is no warranty and we WONT replace the fish. I spent $75 on 4 fish and got fish food. I am mortified by the lack of care. I will never ever be back and I would stay far away from this place!!! read more

Best fish store in the area by far! Staff is very knowledgeable and they don't try to "sell" you things; you'll only walk out with what you need. Owners are passionate about sharing their knowledge and are very friendly. Large variety of fresh, salt and outdoor fish. They have also special ordered things for me on occasion. Would strongly recommend not to purchase from this store. They sold me a canister filter $40 more than what the manufacturer is selling themselves online. I can understand 5-10 dollar here and there but 40 dollar more is in-acceptable. The next day when I found out they refuse to honor the price or even return the un-opened filter. read more

After doing business for years with Wet Pets, we will no longer buy anything from them or recommend them to anyone. They are only concerned about the sale and not the customer. We bought a new fish tank from them three months ago. We can home last night from dinner and the tank had a crack in it about five inches long. When my wife contacted them this morning they told her it was not their problem that we would have to contact the manufacturer. My wife explained that we would lose everything in the tank if we had to wait on the manufacturer and stated that good customer service would have been for them to replace the tank and handle the defective product with the company themselves. She also told them that we had spent a lot of money with them over the years. She was told that it did not matter if we spent $1.00 or thousands. It was not their problem.
