Stopped by for their national pretzel day. I have never had one of their pretzels before and it was pretty good. Got their buttered pretzel with light salt and my what a big pretzel it was. They were pumping them out and I got a fresh out of the oven one just about burned my hand it was so fresh. It really was a good pretzel. I'd definitely say these are more flavorful than auntie Anne's pretzels . I didn't get a great picture but it was really good! Short and to the point for this little spot. As of today 4/14/25 (possibly earlier) they have the almonds again! YAY! We've always had fresh and soft pretzels here. Sometimes the kids dip the bites into cheese by itself, or the cheese with the cinnamon and sugar, or cheese with the almond. Gets the sweet and salty just right. Service is nothing great but the line when long, goes pretty quick. Not a lot of seating available right at their location, but there are little couches and the food court not too far away. The food was fine--no complaints there. However, the service at the register was a bit off. The young man working seemed disengaged and gave off a bit of that Gen Z attitude--lots of blank stares and a dismissive tone. I wasn't rude at all, so maybe he was just having a rough day. He dismissed me after only giving me two of the items I had paid for, with a little bit of an attitude. When I brought up that I was missing an item and asked if I had even been charged for it, the mood shifted completely. He looked surprised, apologized repeatedly, and quickly handed me the missing item. I appreciate that he corrected the mistake, but the initial interaction could have been much more professional. read more

Yum yum yum! I drive 30 mins to get to this location to eat their perfect yummy warm soft and just rightly baked pretzel, and the jalapeño cheese with the right consistency. Thank you Kim and her staff for the perfect pretzel when I am craving one. =) Worth the calories. :)) Note: I have a wetzel pretzel that opened right close to me, but I am disappointed with their pretzel quality after trying it twice already. I did review them to hopefully get the attention of the manager/location. I am going to stick to my favorite store in Mission Viejo to satisfy my cravings. =) read more

Who doesn't like Wetzel's Pretzels? They are delicious! I would go out of my way to come here. Sometimes you're walking around the mall and you just need a snack break and pretzels are just perfect. Did you know they have dessert here too? I usually get their Original Pretzel with Butter and Salt, sometimes with Jalapeño Cheddar Cheese Dip. Sometimes I get their Wetzel Dog instead, both are amazing. But when I want dessert, I'll go for their Cin-a-Bitz, oh man, this is amazing. Their Frozen Lemonades are also good. I think I also need to try their Sinful Cinnamon Pretzel sometime too, probably similar but with different feel. Ok but really who am I kidding, call it a snack but eating a whole pretzel by myself is basically a meal for me so I usually share it. Honestly, I don't know which one tastes better, Wetzel's Pretzels or Auntie Anne's. I think I would have to do a side by side comparison to really know, both are just that good. I usually just get whatever I see first. I think in the past, over a decade ago, Auntie Anne's was better by far, but now, I don't know if both stores recipes have changed/improved because they both taste good to me. This one is located on the first floor near J.Jill and Dick's Sporting Goods at The Shops at Mission Viejo. There are many free parking lots and structures for the mall. The closest place to enter and park to get here would be next to Cheesecake Factory. There are two Wetzel's locations at this mall, the second one is on the second floor. Price has definitely gone up over the years but I still think it's fair accounting for inflation and similar in price to Auntie Anne's. Service is friendly and quick. There wasn't much of a wait to order on a Sunday around 2 PM, maybe one to two parties ahead of me. Food comes out piping hot which I love. The concept is cute, it's like a cute small food vendor looking stand. read more

We bought a single classic pretzel and a cheese dip and paid with ApplePay. I heard the guy say $6 something as the total. We wouldn't have even checked to see how much we were actually charged, but there was some confusion about whether we had ordered a drink or not, so I dug the receipt out of my pocket. I saw that we were charged $8.25 because of an automatic $1.48 tip that was added on without our knowledge. It wasn't even an iPad to checkout. Just the small black ApplePay touch device. They never even gave us an option not to tip. We didn't bother going back to fight over $1.48, but it's really not cool to add on over 20% tip without the customer's knowledge. read more

They have dog bites for sale now. If you have a dog, you can indulge your dog in a small hot dog with a pretzel covering over it. I think it might be 1/3 or 1/4 of the hot dog cut up into bits with the original pretzel covering it. Wow, your dog would be one lucky pooch if you bought one of these dog bites bags. I mean, I kind of envy your dog, lol. Somehow I think they'll do well with the bites bag. Friendly customer service and they ring you up quickly, accurately and professionally. I feel bad for them because their tip jar only has coins in it. Hope people might give them a little more. Times are tough now so I understand if people can't. read more

This place is a joke. He had two pretzels only. Both cheese. I bought one. Paid 4.74. It was terrible. Didn't taste any cheese at all. Didn't even taste like a pretzel just a mouthful of dough. By far my favorite pretzel place. I live in irvine and I everytime I go to the wetzels or aunti ann's at the spectrum I regret it and have to make the trip down here instead. They always taste amazing--I get cinnamon and normal bites. Only downsize is that there really enough cinnamon for each nibble on the bite just because for there to really be enough then you would need to dip it in cinnamon with every bite. I would definitely come back here again, the pretzels are nice, warm, and always fresh. The service is welcoming and they are always speaking to me with a smile. If you're looking to take a load off of shopping I recommend trying their slushies it will keep you refreshed as you grab and enjoy their nice hot pretzels. If you are indecisive on what to get you can never go wrong with the pepperoni cheddar pretzel or if you like spicy foods the jalepeno pretzel is one to try. I'm still slightly confused as to what happened exactly, but I was treated in a manner that (for lack of a better word) left me feeling insignificant. First, I was next in line and there were two cashiers, one of which was free. She stared blankly at me for a minute before I realized she was free. Second, when approaching her (and keep in mind she still has not said a word) I joked that I had not noticed she was available then asked her how her day was going. Now both cashiers are staring at me as if I'm speaking Latin. I chuckle a bit because it's very awkward. Third, as my cashier is taking my order she steps away to grab something so the other cashier steps in sticks her hand out stating the dollar amount owed. I state "oh I'm actually still in the middle of my order but thank you." Fourth, and lastly payment was taken and no "thank you," "have a nice day," or anything. Literally, the only word said to me through the three to four minutes I was there were the dollar amount owed (twice) and which flavor slushy I wanted. This place is great! Every single worker is so nice and they work fast and they are efficient. The dog bites are to die for and everything else as well. I change what I get every time and I so I do not know what I would recommend. It's all good! They have chairs and tables too so it's pretty convenient. And it's in a shopping mall so if you are ever hungry while shopping, it's a something to munch on. I love soft pretzels and this place happens to be what I look for! read more
