Even with how incredibly busy they were, the entire team was efficient, organized, and provided outstanding service. Susan, who was handling order pickups, was absolutely outstanding. She was the sweetest, kindest, and most patient person, even while managing a large number of customers at once. She communicated exceptionally well with the kitchen, always had answers to customers' questions, and handled every situation with professionalism and a smile. I witnessed customers become frustrated, Susan stayed calm, smoothed things over, and made sure every order was made right. Somehow by accident an item wasn't included on our order. As soon as she realized it, she had a fresh order ready for us in just minutes. She even called me, instead of sending a text so I would know immediately. Susan, and ALL THE STAFF truly went above and beyond on a super busy day, and their customer service made a hectic holiday feel easy. Susan is a tremendous asset to Talyards, and because of employees like her, it's easy to see why this is one of our favorite places. We'll definitely be back again and again!

Sadly the sauce on the wing tasted water down buffalo wing sauce. Tried the Cajun garlic and it had some nice garlic flavor but again no spice and lacked flavor other than garlic. Subject: Serious Food Safety Complaint - Wetzel's Pretzels at First Colony Mall…read more I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by my experience at the Wetzel's Pretzels location inside First Colony Mall. After purchasing pretzel bites, I discovered what appeared to be a live silverfish/insect larvae or worm baked into the bread. I noticed it only after taking the food out of the bag, and I immediately stopped eating. I took photographs because I could hardly believe what I was seeing. This is a serious food safety issue. Customers should never have to worry about insects being present in their food. It raises concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen, food storage practices, and overall sanitation at this location. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously, with: An immediate investigation of this store. A review of sanitation and pest control procedures. A response explaining what corrective actions will be taken. A refund and appropriate resolution for this unacceptable experience. I hope no other customer has to experience something like this. But I had a plan. I went on Yelp and searched for German food trucks in all of Houston. The Sauer Kraut Food Truck popped up as, by far, having the best ratings/reviews. I then went to their Facebook page, and as I expected, their most recent post was that they were at the Tomball German Heritage Festival. I assumed that any German food trucks in Houston would be and was glad I turned out to be right. Earlier in the day, I walked past the truck and was definitely intrigued when I saw it say something on the side like, "German food with a Texas twist". But I had no idea that they had such good reviews when I initially saw that. We ended up ordering a jager schnitzel sandwich and a currywurst. Both were about as great as one could have hoped for. And while we did not love our overall experience at this festival, The Sauer Kraut Food Truck was the highlight for us. We will definitely stop here again if we see them out and about in the future.

So please double check with barista/management. One of the things I love about this locally owned coffee shop is their food. It's actually filling, which isn't always the case with cafés. My favorites are the honey garlic toast, bagels with cream cheese, and the buldak pizza. The shop itself is clean, well-maintained, and the restroom is always fresh, which I really notice and appreciate. There's typically a barista at the front to take orders, and when it gets busy, there's also a kiosk available. The layout is clear, with signs showing where to order and pick up, so it's easy to navigate. They also host events and offer space for meetings or casual hangouts, which adds to the community feel. It's a great spot to relax, read, study, or get work done. If I lived closer, I'd probably be here all the time. They also play great music definitely my vibe, though that comes down to personal taste. Overall, it's a solid, welcoming place that I've consistently had good experiences with.
