We came in strong as a party of 12 for an earlier dinner at 5pm so it wasn't crowded. Our server was Jonathan and he did an amazing job. For being a chain, they are quite consistent but maybe better here in Texas with the service than in California. I ordered a split flavor of wings. They came out hot and seasoned just right. They didn't douse the dry rub or sauce too much when this is usually my biggest pet peeve about wings. It was just right. The only thing that went wrong was that I had asked for all flats but it came out mixed. Jonathan quickly recognized that and I let him know it was fine as is. Another miss was that one of our guys didn't get mashed potato's on the side and wasn't told they were out until his dish came out without it. He was of course provided the option right away to choose something else. But maybe better communication with the kitchen staff might have resolved both these issues. I will never go the BJs Missouri City location EVER again. This is my second bad experience at the Missouri City location. I go to the Pearland location all the time and have never had issues. To note, it was not the food but the HORRIBLE service. My kids had an appt in Sugarland, so we went to the Missouri City location because it was closer. About 6 months prior, we had a bad experience at the Missouri City location and I decided then not to go back but didn't want to hold on to that one bad experience because prior visits were pretty good. Anyway, when we sat down, the waiter seemed nice initially. He seemed in a rush but still nice. After he seated the family behind us, his service got worse. I was with my family of 4 and we only had 2 sets of utensils, so I asked him for 2 more and he practically threw paper napkins on the table. I told him we need 2 of the cloth napkins with utensils and he said he has to walk all the way to the front to get it so we needed to wait. I said okay. My mom ordered the salmon and asked if she could substitute the broccoli because she didn't like broccoli. He said sure and she replaced with roasted vegetables. When her order arrived, it had all broccoli and ONE piece of cauliflower. I mentioned to the waiter she didn't want the broccoli and he said very rudely "THATS WHAT SHE ORDERED". By this time he was rude, so I went to the front and asked very nicely if we can get another waiter. The manager came explained later that the roaster vegetables have broccoli in it. If that is true, the waiter could have explained that instead of being so rude and frankly, if my mom said I DONT LIKE BROCCOLI and asked to substitute broccoli for roasted vegetables, why didn't he just say the roasted vegetables have mostly broccoli in it because there was only broccoli on the plate and one piece of cauliflower. We ate our meal and were planning to get dessert but didn't because of the poor service. The manager came out and I said I didn't want to make a big deal about it but would just prefer he not wait on us any more. I asked for a to-go container, which he brought. Whats crazy is that the rude waiter continued to wait on us. He brought the menu and asked if we wanted dessert. I said no and he grabbed the menu with an attitude. The kids who love the pizookies didn't want to get because they said they didn't want him to do something to them in the back so I took them someone else for dessert. How sad. My 11 and 13 year olds asked "can we not come here anymore please". As I stated earlier, we enjoy BJ's and have never had an issue at the Pearland location but I will NEVER go back to the Missouri City location. After reading the other reviews, they really seem to have an issue that they need to address. To end, I respect waiters for what they do because it can't be easy dealing with so many different personalities on a daily basis. I am very mindful of that and always try to be respectful to the point of tipping very well for great service. For example $35 for a $70 bill. I was excited to try BJ's for the first time, but I don't plan on coming back. It was a Sunday night, and we were quickly seated. However, I feel like there was a shortage of servers because we sat around for about 20-30 minutes, wondering when our server would come. He was a nice guy, but he seemed preoccupied with other tables/tasks for most of the time. It took a long time to find him for water refills and the check. I got the $13 pizookie meal deal and went with the strawberry fields salad with the strawberry shortcake pizookie. I also got a side of the honey sriracha brussel sprouts. The salad was decent, but I had to flag down our server because it didn't come with dressing. He told me it should've already been in the salad, but it was definitely just dry lettuce haha. My friends who hate brussel sprouts were actually surprised by how good they were, but personally I'd rather just make them at home since the side cost $6.99!! My first visit to the Sugar Land location was with a party of seventeen. BJ's Staff did an excellent job of taking a late reservation and accommodating a large party with a single server. We were spilt into two tables yet no one had lengthy waits during the entire event. The food had mixed reviews from the members of the party. The most frequent complaint, the food was not warm or hot. However, my Hickory Brisket burger and fries were four stars. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea that fell short of expectations. We came in on a busy night without a reservation and took an open high-top. Service felt a little stretched, but we don't point our 3 star to this. We didn't have the best experience ordering with our waiter. Despite a gluten-sensitive menu and clearly marked items, our server wasn't familiar with gluten intolerance, or kitchen processes. At this time, we weren't given the gluten free men, but we frequent here. My wife asked about the bottomless soup and salad limited time deal in a sleeve of the. Normal menu and ordered the chilli, and we asked for baked wings with two sauces. When the wings arrived only half of the wings had sauce and the other half had no seasoning at all . This is where my issue with the wait time comes in, but reminder we didn't have a reservation. Once we got his attention after they brought out our entrées, he then says that he could bring a side of sauce without offering something else because that wasn't what we ordered and he didn't stop by the table for quite some time During this discussion, he also made a comment about the chili being made with beer and asking if she was OK mind you he knew she was gluten intolerant before she ordered chili yet we ordered off the normal menu could go both ways. I specifically requested our appetizer to come out before our entrees, and the waiter confirmed it would. However, our main dishes arrived first. To make matters worse, when the appetizer finally came out, it was the wrong item, and our waiter never returned to the table to explain the mistake or apologize for the timing mix-up. The issues continued when we ordered the kids' sundae for our daughter. We were brought plain ice cream without the fudge, and we were not informed they were out of fudge until we specifically asked. I was JUST here last week but had to come back. One, for my free pizookie and two, for the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries...AGAIN! For the second time in 1 week, I ordered my burger medium well. And for the second time, it was what I expected; juicy and delish! My server, Bevin, was friendly and attentive. She fulfilled every request I had, kept my glass of tea filled and came back to check on me at the appropriate times. I finished a great meal and now it was time for dessert! The guy at the to-go station says, "I'll be right back." 12 minutes goes by and the line at the to-go station is growing. Others waiting in line are starting to complain. There's a lot to love: the vibe, not having to stand around waiting for seating to become available, there's the great food (the burgers & fries are to die for), the friendly staff & close proximity to Town Square. However, being handed the card swiped & not seeing what you're being charged for is not so great. We had no way of knowing that an automatic tip was already added on for our party of 5. We wanted to be generous for the great service, but not 40% generous. The waitress also didn't say anything to let us know. We'll be back - but we'll pay closer attention. Normally this place is solid but last night we had the misfortune of dealing with a red head server by the name of Peyton (spelling). The epitome of not caring and incompetence. She was "helping" out our server by bringing out our appetizer for him but did so with a non chalant arrogance that was extremely intoxicating not to mention irritating We asked for plates and waited 10 minutes while she walked around like a belligerent pickleball player lost in a library. Pretty decent restaurant I went to during the hurricane . It was one of the places that was opened in sugar land for dine in. BJ is known for their amazing pazookie, which I got. I tried their graham cracker smores and it lived up to expectations! I love their vanilla bean ice cream on top! This place isn't where I choose to go to often, but when I do, pazookie is a MUST here! Their flat bread pizza is pretty good as well. Its been over 2 years since our server was cool the food was ok. The one and only main issue with this recent visit is that. It seems many of the items on the menu were either not available or the ingredients to make a specific item was not available. We tried to order a Philly cheesesteak but they didn't have the steak meat. If we ordered the chicken pasta they didn't have the pasta for it. Im not sure if this a reoccurring issue at this location but from what I've been told from other friends who had the same issue this seems to happen alot here... Where to start? I've been to Bj's a handful of times and I wasn't all that impressed but satisfied. However, my most recent visit, is what really what prompted this review. My friend and I wanted to have a bit of a girls day shopping around and ending it with a meal a Bj's. This was a Saturday night and it was busy! Thankfully the wait was relatively short, only about 20-25 minutes. Now the fun part: we get seated then our waiter, Tristan, greet us and you can tell he is stressed from the Saturday night rush. He does seem a bit annoyed and clearly not in the best of moods, which is very understandable seeing that large groups were coming in left and right into the restaurant. We ordered cocktails for our drinks and as expected Tristan asked to see our IDs. I want to preface the following before I continue; I am 22 and my friend is 21. Yes, I know we look young but we don't look that young. Yes, I expect to get carded just about every where I go, but never have I seen someone go through extreme measures to make sure my ID is real. I know it might seem mundane to complain about but here is my reason. My ID is the newer Texas IDs that have been issued out. There are like purple/ pink colors with a black and white photo of you on the ID. If you have the newer ones, you know what I'm talking about. Mind you too, mine is horizontal. My point is, the new IDs that are issued out in Texas is clearly and attempt on Texas to reduce people making fake IDs. So Tristan grabs my ID and is basically trying to make it seem like mine is a fake ID. He didn't even hear my friend's drink order because he was taking so long with mine. I was about to read out my address to him because it just looked like he wasn't gonna take my order. I understand you don't want to get in trouble for serving alcohol to minors but it was clear he had never seen the new Texas IDs. This is what really had me going: my friend finally gets her drink order in and hands her ID to him. Tristan makes the sly comment "that's better" when he gets my friend's ID. HER ID IS LITERALLY THE OLD TEXAS ID AND VERTICAL!!! So you're telling me my younger friend with the vertical ID gets looked at for 5 seconds, but my new, horizontal ID needs to be help hostage for 5 minutes? Ok. Let's say i'm just being dramatic about the ID. I didn't see a reason to really complain about it to a manager or anything, but we weren't getting set off on the right foot that's for sure. We get brought our drinks, and I gave Tristan our food order. This was the last time Tristan come up to our table before bringing our check. The whole night this man had an attitude towards our table and for the life of me I couldn't understand why. We had been nothing but respectable and patient with him and he still was just so annoyed that we had to choose there to eat that night. Not great customer service if you ask me. He was going up to hostess stand to talk to hostess disappearing to the back and the whole time I'm watching him because I can clearly see him and we made multiple eye contacts the whole night and not once did he come up to check on us. My friend noticed that we didn't get any water with our alcohol so I told her the next time I saw Tristan I'll flag him down to get some waters. This is when he disappeared, so I had to stop another waiter (I can't remember his name) to get us some waters. I told him I hadn't seen our waiter in a while but we just wanted some waters. He apologized and quickly got us our waters. To tell you the truth I saw that waiter running around the restaurant more than I saw Tristan. At this point my friend needed a to go box and I was done with our food. I wanna say another 10 minutes went by and Tristan finally came back up to our table. Of course with an attitude he says "y'all were asking for me?". His passive aggressiveness really just got to me at that point and I was ready to leave. Not once was I ever disrespectful to guy our entire visit, but I should have been with the way he was talking to us. With my frustration i just told him "we didn't we just wanted waters and didn't know where you were, but we're gonna go ahead and take the check". He's clearly pissed off and rushes to get us our check. Doesn't even say a word when he brings the check no thank you, thanks for coming, have a good night, nothing. At this point I wasn't surprised because he just had an attitude all night. If something happened behind the scenes okay i understand but let's get one thing clear that's not my fault. You don't need to be projecting your anger and frustration out on me when I haven't done a damn thing to you. Long story short just don't come here. Bj's really has gone downhill the past few years. Food is mediocre at best with little to no seasoning. Drinks are decent but not worth $12. Customer service is terrible. My friends and I frequent BJ's often for pizookie and typically there's no issue. However, the most recent time I visited, our experience was pretty terrible. We were sat down and, initially, our server was super friendly and awesome. But as soon as we mentioned that we ordered for dine-in, his attitude completely switched up. He acted like it was the world's biggest inconvenience. He had me order again there, and then wait a solid 45 minutes for our 2 pizookies which is exactly what i was trying to avoid, and when he brought them out, they were the small pizookies that you get in the pizookie trio. When it came time to pay, i scanned the barcode, and the reward I had used for a free pizookie online was gone so I'd had to pay for both of the smallest pizookies i've ever seen for full price. In the future I'd say ordering for take out is the way to go. read more

Basically a whole lot of dough and less cheese and toppings and barely any sauce. If I went to the back of the kitchen I could make it better. They should also have a Tuscan style pizza on the kids menu cause we ordered the deep dish kids pizza and I don't think it's possible for toddlers to eat that much dough.
