All 3 of them needed new batteries, so I figured I'd try the Speidel store, since it was so conveniently located for me. The store is attractively set up, with lots of windows and natural light a it's on a corner (no photos since the store clerk and I were the only ones in a modest space & it felt awkward to start snapping away before I asked for service). It has some really fun watches on display for sale, many of them priced under $50, and a nice collection of what they label "scrub" watches for nurses, with large and clear to read faces, for just about $30 each. They also sell replacement bands, which I didn't think I needed. I was told that one watch didn't seem to have a back that could come off, so the battery couldn't be replaced. I left my other 2 watches and went to run errands. When I came back, I got the bad new that they could replace only one of the batteries since the back on the other looked like it wasn't replaced correctly so it was wedged in. The clerk directed me to Saltzman's Watches in Cranston when I asked what I should do with those 2 watches she couldn't fix. So, 4 stars for a very nice store to stop in if you're looking to buy something that isn't a high end watch; closer to 3 stars for advertising repairs that they could offer in only a limited range of situations.

They did a great job helping him select a diamond and to design the ring. I also got my wedding band at MRT's. It's a great local shop! My mother-in-law's wedding and engagement rings are actually also from here. What has impressed me most about MRT's is their customer service. When one of the tiny rubies fell out of my wedding band early on, they fixed it for free. More recently, I decided to get the wedding band and engagement ring fused together, so that they wouldn't rub together (the side wall of the wedding band was thinning from rubbing). I currently live in California and the price quote I got here for thickening the side walls and fusing the two rings together was $200 more expensive than the quote MRT's gave me. When I took the ring to MRT's, they gave me a price quote based on the time and materials to fix the ring. When they realized later it would take more time to fix the ring than expected, they kept the original price quote, rather than raising it, despite it taking more labor. I just received my rings in the mail from them and am thrilled with the result!

Today was the first time I went here to get a watch battery. It was an old watch which belongs to…read moremy father. The watch repair person told me it was 10 dollars to replace a battery which was normal to me. After opening the watch we found out there were 3 batteries, but only one was needed to function for time keeping. I submitted my Lumnox Navy Seal watch for repair. I obtained the link to Saltzmans Watched from the…read moreofficial Luminox website. I dispatched the watch via UPS and paid the $35 fee for shipping and assessment. The only required repairs were a battery replacement, band replacement, and inspection. I did not receive any confirmation regarding the watch's arrival. After contacting the store via email, I received a response. Subsequently, I received a message indicating that my watch was too old and could not be repaired. I had only requested a battery replacement, but they informed me that they could not open the watch. No email or message inquired if it was acceptable to replace the battery without guaranteeing water resistance after the repair. After several emails and no response, I had to contact the store. I was informed that the watch would be returned without a new battery. I could have saved over a month of time by visiting a local store and having the battery replaced in approximately two hours. However, I believed this was the most appropriate place for this significant watch to be repaired. The sole reason this review does not receive a one-star rating is that I received a refund for the $35. However, upon receiving the watch, I discovered that the band was broken. I can assure you that it was not damaged during transit. Additionally, I found another review of a watch that was returned with a broken band. I strongly advise against sending your watch to this store. Instead, shop locally and have repairs performed. At the very least, there will be some communication. I understand that this is an older watch and may not have significant monetary value. However, it holds sentimental value for me, and to have the watch and myself treated this way is unacceptable.
