Lived in the area for over 40 years and used to ALWAYS come here when the large pizzas were $6.. but over the years I've tried many other places because it seemed the quality here just wasn't living up to what we wanted.... BUT last week I got a coupon in the mail and decided to give it a try... SO HAPPY I DID!!! They were super busy, busting out pizzas with ease and there were like 9 people working here!! They were efficient and organized. Impressed as I watched them and they told me my 5:30 online order would be ready in 5 min. It was 5:25 pm The price of a large one topping is like $15 and I also ordered their "supreme", an antipasto salad and two types of wings. The wings come in 10 pc servings for ~$10, which is expensive, but the going rate wherever, even when you make them yourself, wings are expensive!! We preferred the buffalo over the BBQ which had WAY TO MUCH sauce on them and looked like it was just poured on from a bottle. I was out the door with 2 pizzas, a large salad & 20 wings minus a $5 coupon.. for about $50. The pizzas were delicious and cooked to perfection. I was happy with the large "size", which in comparison to other places was more than decent. I also noticed the veggies weren't cooked to death and still had a very fresh taste! Well this is embarrassing because this is my go to hole on the wall pizza. If you look to see how many times I have checked in, clearly you can see I am not making this up. I know they dislike phone calls because it is not easy or busy or what not. Somehow ordering the supreme was nothing like a supreme. In fact it appeared they counted the pieces and spread them out. The Pastrami w pickles was not pastrami but just pepperoni and maybe 5 pieces of pickles. It was a BIG LET DOWN especially with how minimal toppings it came with. The presentation of the pizza's looked like a kinder student put it together. When I arrived to pickup my order I was delighted to see a fully stocked crew. I do not remember seeing any of those faces. All young men and again I am happy to support the idea of hiring young adults. I grabbed my order and left. The wings were pretty good. Nothing wrong with that item. In all fairness we killed the pizza's or most of it. I still ate it because I was starving and just exhausted. The part I would like management or crew is be aware of the slack off. I have some pieces that I saved if you would like to view the remaining evidence. In all my visits and trying to keep one of my favorite pizza spot in business this is the first that I was not happy with. Especially because I paid extra for the supreme and the pastrami. I was even cheated on my pickles! OMG that is so wrong! Faintly any pickles! All the toppings were generously applied on the pizza, and the cheese and sauce went perfectly with the soft hand tossed crust. A perfect bite into a local pizzeria slice! It's no Brooklyn style NYC pizza, but we're on the West Coast folks, gotta take what we've got; the 10 buffalo wings were spicy and flavorful and served with ranch at no additional charge (amazing).
