The fries are your typical thin shoestring style fries. Staff was friendly but it did take awhile during the lunch hour rush to get our food. We hope they keep these permanently on the menu or bring them back each year.

No sense of urgency not much hustle, but always polite. These folks are always my first choice but if there is any line at all I just pull around and go to McDonalds where I know I won't grow a full beard waiting to get my order.

A large guy brought my order and I asked if it had 2 gravy dipping sauces? He said no only 1. I told him I'd ordered an extra dipping gravy which he said it would be an Extra charge now. Since I'd already paid I just said forget it and left. Once home I looked at my order and there was NO Gravy dipping sauce!!! So I called back to Whataburger to report this. I was also curious what they'd say. But, after I explained about my order and experience. He told me the big guy who checked my order was an assistant mgr.;but, he did not apologize for their mistake, inconvenience or offer a free meal or anything! Just CRICKETS! Yes, there are other Whataburgers here and a nice new one on Alameda at San Pedro which is a little farther. I've always had very good courteous service there. Since I moved here so many eons ago this place has been one of the New Mexico staples right next to Blakes Lotaburger. A personal favorite day to go for me is on Tuesdays. Why? Well it's taco Tuesday every Tuesday there. At a buck forty a pop those bad boys will tame and satisfy even the greatest of hungers. At first glance the taco burger doesn't seem like much but it packs a punch. An all American beef patty snuggled between a slice of cheese, their famous green chili sauce, and lettuce it's a delicious treat. The meat is angus beef brought in daily and never frozen. The burgers are big, and OTC (as they prefer to call this place) will cook them medium for you. That is a big plus in my book because it means that you can get a reasonably lean burger that is also very juicy and tasty. Are you listening, Five Guys? The green chile at OTC is always plenty piquante (that's a fancy word for HOT). You add your own condiments. Their pickles are so good and crunchy that I am suspicious they might be made in-house. Your hamburger bun will come with the OTC initials grilled into the top. The buns are high quality and add to the hamburger experience. No dissolving buns at OTC. You get your choice of sides. I always pick the fruit cup as it contains at least one large piece of fresh pineapple or watermelon, making the other bits and pieces much more pleasing. Service starts when you order at the counter. Then the trusty staff makes your stuff and brings it out to your table. They have several beers on tap and more in the bottle, but I drink either water or Dr Pepper with my burgers just like the Texans I grew up with.
