We went to this Whataburger on our way home from vacation. It was the slowest Whataburger we have ever been to. We sat at the drive through window for 10 minutes looking at our food while 10 employees stood around on their phones and not doing anything at all. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that we did eventually get OUT of the drive thru line. Yes, I'm happy to report we did not die of old age in this place's line. My insanely complicated order? Medium fries. They also sent some poor lady to "pull ahead" for just a Dr Pepper w no ice. Folks it is 1:30pm. What are the employees doing in there? There wasn't even a line past the board (pulled right up to it to order). Add an employee that acted like we were shitting in the parking lot in front of her as opposed to handing her a credit card and that's a wrap. I drove 8 hours and stopped to get something to eat and not only did they not have ANY ketchup AT ALL they forgot to give me my large fry I needed the freaking ketchup for!!!! Out of coffee. Eggs tasted awful, over cooked, not edible, inattentive service. Not very busy so not sure what the deal was. Ended up throwing away half my food and having to chase down ketchup, salsa, never got a full cup of coffee. We had never had Whataburger because we don't have them near us. So, while on vacation, my fiance was excited to try it. The service was terrible! It was the slowest fast food I have ever had. We went in and ordered at the counter. I ordered a burger light on the mustard with ketchup. The guy took our order and rang us up and told us to have a seat and they would bring it when it was ready. So far, so good, right? The food came out a little bit later and the girl who brought it asked if we would like some ketchup for our fries. We said "yes, please" and then we reminded her that we had also ordered a lemon pie (one of those typical fast food pies, but they had a limited time lemon flavor). She apologized half heartedly and said she would bring it out along with some ketchup. So, we waited.......and waited......I ate some fries.....and some more fries.....and still no ketchup. Oh, and my burger had extra mustard. I would in no way call that "light on the mustard". So, after we were finished eating our food (with no ketchup), my fiance went up and asked if we could get our lemon pie. She apologized again and said she would bring it out. So, we waited......and waited......and waited some more (probably about 15 minutes from the time he asked). So, he went up again for the pie. This time she put it in the fryer right away and once again gave a really empty apology. Now, if they were really busy, I could see how this could happen. But, they were not. There were the two of us and one group of four inside and I didn't really see cars driving to the drive through. Plus, there were at least 4 people working in the back. Now, for a fast food chain that advertises their ketchup and even has a ketchup shirt available, what would be wrong with giving us a little ketchup for our fries? Or, how about putting some out and we can get it ourselves? So, in conclusion, the food was ok (Culver's from back home is 100% better, or even the golden arches would be several steps up). The service, however, was a complete fail. We will not be back to any Whataburger until pigs fly. read more

One of the best options for amarillo. Easy on off access from the highway, fresh food, clean restrooms. Got a small piece of grass if you're traveling with pets. Be sure to try the famous Whataburger spicy ketchup! read more

this was literally the worst experience i've ever had. the customer service was horrible, it took us over an hour to get a shake and fries, and when we got them the shake was runny and the fries were cold. the shake was not mixed in and tasted disgusting. also, the people (except one man) were extremely rude. it was a group kids for a church camp and we were all being very respectful and we got many rude looks from the waiters and even tho we all ordered on separate tickets so it wouldn't have taken long, every other person in the restaurant got their food before us. i will never be eating here again. read more

We stopped here on our way home from vacation. Staff not real friendly, burgers were so-so, the fries were lukewarm and tasted like they had been under the heat lamp for a while. My shake was pretty good but my husband's tasted like a mixture of chocolate and strawberry. We wouldn't recommend. Not a big eater of fast food anyway. read more

I love whataburger and being a Texan I always stop at Whataburger on road trips. We walked in the restaurant, looked clean, but the service was awful. All of the drinks were super carbonated, and when we went to the counter to inform them of the problem, it took 5 minutes for someone to finally recognize us after trying to get several workers attentions. The management was awful as well, she never once came up to help us after making eye contact several times. She was standing around and griping about employees not showing up right at the counter for all customers to hear. Food took about 15 minutes to come out too. This is not the kind of service or way a store should be ran. Awful service, awful management. read more

Whataburger is good, but every time I have been to this location, any number of the employees on any given day are either in a very bad mood, they give you a bad attitude as if you did something wrong, or they are arguing/fighting with each other. Even the managers yell at the employees or vice versa. read more

after driving for 6-7 hours from new mexico, we waited about 30 minutes in the drive through line. i could see that the person in front had gotten a messed up order, and they spent 30 minutes correcting it. after all of that time, our burgers and chicken sandwich had gotten cold at that point. no more than 10 minutes after i started eating my burger, i felt sick to my stomach. my friend with the other burger actually puked up all her food. the third friend with the chicken sandwich didn't even want it after seeing how sick we were. worst whataburger experience in my life. read more

Typically when I go here this place is really good, the food is good, the people inside are nice, and I get great service but today was not that way. I went to the drive-thru instead of going in and wanted a sweet and spicy bacon burger with a grilled chicken patty instead of ground beef. That should be a simple enough order, and the lady taking the order made it sound as though it was, but when I picked up the food from the second window it was a burger and not chicken. I had some room, so I backed up to the drive-thru window and let them know that my order was not at all right, it was a burger and I had ordered chicken. The lady handing out the food was nice, but there was another one who was standing catty-cornered behind her named Sam, and she told me (with attitude) that they knew what my order was. Now, if they knew what my order was don't you expect that they would have given it to me instead of the incorrect sandwich? Either that or she knew and didn't care that the order was incorrect. At any rate don't know that I will be coming back here now because instead of an apology and attempting to make it right all I received was attitude. I did eventually get what I ordered. read more

Food was good as it usually is at a Braum's . But the women's restroom didn't have a diaper changer and neither did the mens. I had to change my baby on the floor. (I do have a mat for situations like this) but every other major restaurant chain that I have been in has a diaper changer in the bathroom. We flew into Amarillo to attend a graduation in Lubbock and we were very excited to be able to grab a WhatABurger because they don't have them where we live. Did a drive through - as we hit the road southbound and opened our burgers they were cool. (The other items were fine) I immediately called the restaurant and talked to the manager. She said we could come back - which we had no time for and just said she was sorry. I was very disappointed in the customer service (or lack thereof.) Expected a credit for the two burgers, a gift card - something - something more than a "sorry"... What has happened to real customer service? read more
