Just spent 45 mins in the drivethru, not at all an uncommon wait time for 4th car in line at this location. I waited 75 mins once from the same place in line. This trip they get a whole 3 stars because they got my order right! First time that's happened in the last 6 visits. Okay, let me start off with the good. Whataburger's tenders and chicken pieces are the best thing ever cooked in all of humanity, their fries are DELICIOUS, and their Sweet Tea never fails. But, the employees are not as welcoming and nice as the food looks or is. They do take a while to get your order ready, and you can never know whether or not you would have to get up and get your food or they would bring it to you (which is honestly not that big of a deal, but it's just inconsistent). Too many young kids working here. Over heard an employee talk mess about a customer because she said no mustard on her burger and she wanted it fixed... He was saying "she acting like that mustard gonna kill her, waisting my time to make her a brand new f****** burger". Plus, my order has came out wrong too before. It took 30 min to get it corrected. I was missing a burger with bacon, and 10 min later, they sent me back another burger without bacon (looked like the same burger). It took another 20 min to just add bacon on my burger. Wanted a Monterrey Melt, was told they weren't serving those today. It was 7:00 PM on Friday. I asked why and the cashier, stated the kitchen didn't have any fajitas mix. WTF. Our local Whataburger is pretty ok. Sometimes the service is slow or chaotic, but we've learned to cope by checking our orders when they come out. The folks here are nice, just disorganized. This has got to be the worst Whataburger. The drive thru typically takes forever, and my order is rarely correct. I'm embarrassed by the number of times I have gotten out of my car after going through the drive thru and complaining to the manager. Tonight was the ultimate when it comes to ridiculousness. It's hit or miss at this location. This time the fries were awful, like they had been fried in old grease. The three slices of tomato on my hamburger was barely bigger than a pickle slice. This Whatabuger night shift is horrible... As always either the food is old or the order is messed up. My husband went through the drive thru late night as we tend to do and ordered a double meat combo. He told the lady three times no mustard. He comes home and there is mustard on the burger. At this point he's more upset with himself for not checking the food. BECAUSE WE KNOW BETTER, dealing with this location. He walks in over to the counter with his bag and waited patiently while he was ignored. When the girl finally ask to help him he explained the situation and the girl told him she COULD NOT redo the order without a receipt. He spoke with the manager and it was remade. I never take the time to write these reviews but damn this was my first time at this whataburger and certainly my last, as soon as my family and I walked in we noticed their ac was out or something didn't pay much attention to it, thought maybe we'll just make our order to go, but then as we were making our way to the drink dispenser the floor had puddles of water, we let that slide too, thought maybe it just happened they'll get to it in a little bit but this is what made us just ask for our money back and head tf out! When we went to pour ice onto our cups you could see some black spots scattered around in the ice so I just dumped the ice out tried again 3 times to see if it kept coming out and finally I tried to figure out what in the world the black spots were I reached in my cup and pulled out black slimy substance which I believe was mold. I love whataburger and have been here many times, I could say that the service is normally fairly good and the overall experience is pleasant. HOWEVER today when I came to get my usual, a number two (which comes w cheese) with lettuce and mayo. I was sitting and hear one of the servers yell "guest number 54!!" Instead of bringing it out like they usually do. This is the worst Whataburger ever. When the new one in Kingwood opens I will drive there if it's at all better than this one. Couldn't be worse. If you want cheese then you don't get it. If I could give less than one star I would. food is always cold and sloppy. Tonight was my braking point I waited for over an hour all I seen was customers complaint about wrong orders or waiting time. The worst thing is in my hour of waiting was managers yelling at staff for not having orders ready but not at them for being disgusting. The cashier that checked me out never cleend his hands after handling money then helped with an order of onion ring by graving them with his bare hands, not only that the lady making the food wasn't wearing gloves and making food with her nails done. The food is not bad so to speak when it comes to prepared or cooked. Now the wait time it terrible in the afternoons. Be prepared to wait anywhere between 5-20 minutes in drive-thru. But they have two registers and only use one which slows the process down a lot I stood in line for at least 25 minutes which is not a fun time when you're hungry after yelling for your team all night and want to sit down for a hot meal. My family has been eating at this Whataburger for about four years, and they usually don't mess up the order, and the staff is so/so, but a few days ago we ordered out and it was terrible. I'm not sure who the manager was at the window, or at least she told my husband she was the manager, but she was rude as hell. The drive-thru was packed as usual, and I waited in line to order. Once we got to the intercom, I proceeded to order, and a woman interrupts and says that they are only accepting cash. Again, that's fine, but I only had card and I was stuck with no way out, and behind a lot of vehicles. I moved forward, and called my husband as he told me to order at the window and he'll bring the cash. I was fine with that. Then I see the guy in lane b paying for his meal with card, and I was a bit surprised. So, when it was my turn the lady read off someone's meal, and I told her it wasn't mine, but I couldn't move forward because others were waiting. I had been stuck in the line for quite a while. Then, I explained that there should be a system they should follow when the machine doesn't accept cards, or have a sign, or clear out the second lane to allow others to pass so that they won't be stuck. Instead of apologizing, she copped an attitude, stated well, I'm sorry, but we're moving them out your way. Once again, I was calm and asked if I could still make the order because my husband was there with cash, but she ignored my request. But then, when the woman left to bring the guy in front of us his meal, she started chatting him up instead of moving him quickly out the way. Needless to say, I was irate at that point. When my husband asked why I didn't order, she lied to his face saying I didn't try. I was pissed. Never again will I spend my money at that location. We still love the food though! read more

So I came to this Whataburger because it was close to home, so my family and I decided to stop in for a great tasting hamburger; because in my opinion Whataburger makes the best hamburgers hands down. We ordered our food, and to my surprise, a generous man paid for our meal. We sat down and waited 45 min. for our food. We decided to stay in honor for the generous man paying for our food. We finally received our order and the food was awful and the hamburgers were cold. The polite cashier informed us that they were having trouble making fries. The chicken strips were terrible and the gravy was cold and runny. I will not be going back to this Whataburger. This Whataburger is way below average and should better train their employees. I blame weak management for this. I do believe that this is standard for them due to reading the other comments and reviews on this Whataburger, I hope that in the future they will fix the problem. I do doubt that they will due to this being a problem for some time. My review may not make a big impact on them but maybe they will read this and make some changes here in the near future. read more
