This particular store consistently screws up my orders I receive thru Door Dash. Last two orders they failed to add cheese to my burger although I specified it in the instructions section and paid extra for it. Last night burger did not come with cheese and extra mustard as requested. In addition, my drink was half empty with minimal ice in it. I live within 8 minutes of the store and delivery wasn't delayed. I'm done ordering anything from this store. read more

It was my go to burger place since it is near my home. However it has continued to go downhill in a hurry. The service is OK but like most fast food places with no continuity with their staff and high turnover. That may explain why their food quality has gone from good to lousy. We take the entire family regularly. Been going to this location for many years. Employees are friendly, and aren't all ticked off and apathetic like most fast food joints. On top of that, all of them speak English! (And some speak Spanish too). We are a Tri-lingual family but we're tired of having to speak the server's language just to be able to order food. Not a problem here. Nice to see a business that hires other legal American workers for a change. Walk-in Service is always fast. Our orders have never been wrong. Nice, relaxed atmosphere inside. This is our childrens' favorite place to eat, even though there's no stupid plastic playground and mind-numbing video games; that tells you something. The food is THAT GOOD. All Whataburgers are higher in price than cookie-cutter Fast Food Chains, but you get MORE food and minus all the chemicals & poisons you'll find in those. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. read more

I do not even want to give this location one star. Worst fast food experience ever, hands down. I will describe for you my last 3 visits. About a month ago, I went through the drive through and ordered a very simple order of 4 whataburgers. Nothing fancy, no subs, nothing. 4 sandwiches with everything on them. Get 4 burgers home and passed them around. Lo and behold all 4 burgers are missing meat!!! Call the store and they said they would comp my next meal. Wow, thanks! 2 weeks later, pull up to drive up just as the person in front of me is screeching out, off roading over the flower beds. I pull up and lady tells me they are out of meat!! Hence the angry driver in front of me. She tells me I can get a whataburger jr.. Ok I'll have that and a chicken sandwich combo. Great that will be $17...what??? Pull up she says. Up I go, she shows me receipt. Ok you rang up 2 chickens and WJ meals. I repeat my simple order of the 2 combo meals. She comes back and now has 2 chicken and no WJ! We try 2 more times before I finally pull off with no food. Go home, call corporate. They are sorry, will call store. Store returns call in morning. Jeffery the manager is sooooo sorry. He is going to make it up to me and buy me 5 meals at no cost to me. Great! Tonight we go back only because we are getting comped meals. Order 3 patty melts and a WB, all combos. While I am waiting with the tune of Jeopardy going through my head, because it is taking so damn long, I bear witness to 2 drive through orders that are so messed up, the guys inside just can't get it right. One person pulls out without food, the next says screw it just give me what you have. Now my food is ready. Guy brings me 2 little sacks, 2 sandwiches. I let him know I ordered 4 sandwiches. He looks at me like I have 3 heads and gets his manager. Manager says he remembers the 4 but just guesses he forgot to ring it up that way. He will fix it. Enter Theme from Jeopardy. This time while I am waiting, the lady behind me has her food and while checking her order realizes only half of hers is there. While they are now correcting both of our meals, I watch the kid behind counter take out a bag of fries from the fridge and bang it on the nasty floor before throwing it in the fryer!. Finally get home and open up patty melts only to find they are meat only. No sauce, no onions, no nothin! Done! Done! Done!! Will never be back, even if it was free the rest of my life! read more

Visiting Austin with an acquaintance formerly of U Texas, he insisted upon a trip to Whataburger. The way he described it, I expected to be transported. Instead... well... it was a burger and fries. Whataburger this was our last meal in Austin Texas before we traveled back to Chicago. I ordered my husband and I one jalapeños and shredded cheddar burger, onion rings and a root bear milk shake. We were just looking for a simple bite to eat late at night. We got our order to go, and we did a mistake by not checking our entire order. SO our bad, we walked out of the place drive back to our hotel to find out we got the wrong order. We got the onion rings but two WhatAburgers we never ordered. It wasn't a great thing for us to get more food than we ordered because the flavors we wanted to have weren't it. I hate mustard and onions in my burgers and both burgers had it. So it wasn't my order I should've went back and corrected right? If this was my home town yes I would've. However, we drove out that way to get something to eat we got back to the hotel and it was super late. We had to sleep to wake up for a 7:00 a.m. flight. So long story short we didn't report the mistake. I am sad because we would've done if otherwise. The experience I had with Whataburger wasn't the greatest but it wasn't horrible either. Their root beer milk shake was great and i love their onion rings. OH so next time WhataBurger if we meet again, I'll get my jalapeños and shredded cheddar burger. read more

Whataburger used to be known for semi-slow service but great burgers... For the last year or so, though, this Anderson location is REALLY slow and REALLY bad food. I've waited 20 minutes or more in their drive-though in the past 6 months, and so have tried to avoid them.... Just tried again this Saturday at 6:30pm---only a 15 minute wait in drive-thru, but when I got my meal, they didn't include the fries I'd ordered. Glad I checked my bag before I left. But when they finally gave me my fries, the fries literally STANK of bad grease. (I like greasy fries, but not these kind of nasty greasy fries. I couldn't eat them.) WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS LOCATION?? Corporate: When are you going to step in and whip this location into shape? If you don't, no one is going to come here any more. It was always reliable and clean but recently the service became atrocious. Nope, was told there were a few people that had to leave and left them short handed. I got out of line, parked in an adjoining parking lot and I ordered online. Says 10-12 min...perfect! I could see the drive thru from where I was and it still never moved! Keep in mind I had a side item and 2 drinks. Nothing complicated. I pull back to Whataburger to roll into a curbside spot and of course there were none. I put my hazards on like the app instructs and sat. Dude came out and was trying to figure out which car the order in his hand was for. The curbside spots had the sign frame but no sign to indicate what spot they're in. Poor dude going car to car to find the right customer. I'm now 15 min past my pickup time and that's the only order that has come out. ‍ This kid finally comes wandering out with an order that looks like it could be mine. Honestly, he looked like a deer in the headlights. He asked one car if it was theirs and then just kind of stood there looking around. I finally asked if it was the items I had ordered and it was. Finally, after a quick trip to Whataburger for shakes and onion rings I had my food! I spent a total of 57 minutes (yes, fifty seven) from the time I pulled in until the time I pulled out. Y'all need to give these guys a bit more credit. I read the terrible reviews for this place and there were quite a few but I don't let reviews spoil my appetite for them salty fries I was cravin. I'll admit though I did mentally prepare myself and knew that people are people, not machines and knew that people make mistakes and that's what they are guys... People, not cashiers or robots. Went there today, ordered a #1 meal with no mustard and they got the mustard part right but they forgot my dang fries! I turned back around and they got it sorted out and they even included a free pie for me! Wasn't that sweet? point is, if I hadn't have been understandable and went back for my fries I would've never gotten that free pie so sometimes if you just go in with a good attitude, maybe you'll come out with an even better one!! I know I did. And also, you should just be nice to the people who mess with your food anyway. I've seen some shit done to people(who have been absolute assholes... Going inside is not much faster but it will give you a better opportunity to check to make sure you received everything you ordered. The other my order was missing two items. So upon getting order at window, asked if she could scan the rewards she said no that it had to be done before when ordering. Then got home and they did not put gravy I asked for. For me, the burgers here are consistently lukewarm, with cheese half melted. They often will mistake orders and send out wrong, missing, or extra items. The good thing is they are willing to make up for it by giving credit towards an identical order if they screw it up. Staff service is inconsistent, but usually fair. I am no stranger to whataburger and I like it most of the time. However this particular location has messed up my order both of the times I've gone there. It's not the end of the world but it's super annoying when you pay extra for sauces and receive zero sauces both times... On chicken tenders, which suck without sauces. I only went because I was having a craving for a cheeseburger and their amazing fries and it took close to 20 minutes to get my food (with only one car in front of me).
