I am giving this 5 stars for a couple of reasons. For a "fast food" restaurant the food tastes great and the staff is incredible. It is one of our favorite options when short on time. We have eaten both breakfast and lunch there and have never been disappointed. I LOVE the fact that they keep French Vanilla Creamer for your coffee. Yum! Today I witnessed an employee going way beyond her job description. Sharletha noticed a customer at a table across from us, taking the lettuce & tomatoes off of her burger. She walked over to make sure that she had not made a mistake on the original order. She was fully prepared to get her a new one. The customer reassured her that she had gotten the order right, but decided to take off the veggies after the fact. All I can say is WOW! I don't know of ANY fast food place that takes the time to notice things like this. Yes they are busy at lunch time, but definitely worth it. read more

The guy at the window literally fell asleep with my food in his hand. I had to cough (loudly) to wake him up to get my food. I understand it's 3:00 in the morning but jeez take a nap before you start your shift. No wonder I was in line for almost 25 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I got my food. I don't personally like their food, but my husband and kids do. Whenever we go here, the wait is super long , and the order always coming out wrong. Most recently, was a horrible experience, we waited in the drive through forever until my husband had to go in and speak with the manger to get their food. read more

Overall, I like Whataburgers in general. I happen to live across town from the only Whataburger in town, but every once in a while, it I just get an itch to go have a Whataburger. I have to say that this place makes me kind of side. I like the burgers (they are one of my two favorite fast food joints), but this place takes FOREVER. My roommate and I wanted some Whataburger tonight, so we loaded up in the truck and headed out. We got there and decided to order, the woman was nice and gave me my drink before the rest of my order (I actually like that a lot), and then we waited, and waited and waited. We did finally get our orders and headed home, with our meals, but after an unnecessarily long wait. I once went inside during the day and stood at the counter and was never acknowledged, so it is a pattern, but if you aren't in a hurry, the wait isn't such a big deal. read more

Employees being disrespectful and insubordinate to management, unwashed bare hands handling food, incredibly excessive wait times, and a cook crew that talks and stands around while the customers wait. I think this place is kinda overrated. It's just average to me. The beef is nothing special, buns don't seem fresh. Patty melt is average. Normal average fast food fries. idk, JitB seems better to me. Prices are high for quality and portion size. Service is slow. Workers are nice though. Was passing through Baton Rouge the other day and stopped here for some dinner to-go. Hate to sound cheesy (pun intended), but damn, what-a-burger! The line was a bit long so we waited maybe 5-10 mins. Not too bad. I really wish Whataburger would open a location in the greater New Orleans area. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal. First timer. I got a #5 which is a cheeseburger with bacon. Tasted just like McDonalds but a step up in taste and bigger portion. They also have the servers bring you the ketchup pack of your liking (regular or spicy) which is cool. Replaced my combo drink for a shake instead and the strawberry shake gets a two thumbs up. It was good but idk if I would come back in a hurry. Just glad I got to try it since we don't have this in California! read more

The burgers are always fresh here. They make them when you order them and I think they are the best hamburgers in town also the fry's and stuff are also piping hot when they bring them to your booth. You order at the counter and then go sit and they bring the food to you fresh and hot read more

This is probably the worst service I've ever had at a drive thru. We were asked to order up to 3 times , and ultimately had to drive to the window ; which was locked by an employee in front of our face. Me and my boyfriend have been coming to this whataburger for a long time. While the wait line was long, but expected, we realized that our burger were undercooked on the inside and literally pink in the middle, the owner or manager did although try to help resolve the situation with us, just be careful when you get your burger, I understand things happen but hopefully it won't again and the result won't be as understandable as it was this time. read more

Whataburger has been around for as long as I can remember. But it is not until a year or two that I finally started coming here. The burgers are big, juicy and very flavorful. I recommend getting the double Whataburger add cheese with fries + spicy ketchup and you are all in! I like that the fries aren't over salted like at other places and the spicy ketchup is just addicting. Other options include the Chop House Cheddar Burger, a chicken strip sandwich and what they call a Patty Melt which is a burger patty in between Texas Toast with melted pepper jack cheese and grilled onions. Many visitors will say that this is the best fast food burger joint around and I agree with another location in Gonzales. Service is good, but at times it can be a bit rough if you're visiting during lunch time or late in the afternoon. So be prepared to wait just a little bit longer, although its not too bad. Whataburger offers many other breakfast options as well. Breakfast starts up at 11pm all the way until 11am. It is not a bad place to come in the A.M. for breakfast as there's little to almost no wait in the morning drive thru line. But the most important rule about this place is to always make sure to get the spicy ketchup!!! read more

amazing! as a texas native, this whataburger location always sucked when it came to decent food and customer service. they've really done a whole 180; this time our burgers tasted fresh and hot! the manager (i wish i had caught her name; she was wearing a black polo at the drive thru) was incredibly nice and all smiles - even gave us our large sweet tea free of charge. this was a very pleasant experience that made up for its notorious past. i was there 2/13/20 at 3:15 pm; i really hope management knows they've made a difference! read more

First of all, this place is not FAST food. It takes quite some time to get your food BUT I think it's totally worth it. They serve breakfast from 11PM to 11AM, which is my favorite thing so YAY! The service is hit or miss depending on how many customers are there and what time of day it is....did I mention it's worth it? I was really excited about eating dinner at one of my favorite places in the world! Yes, i love this place! My tastebuds were fixed on the the chicken finger basket w/CREAM GRAVY..... Well, i reached my hotel and notice that instead of CREAM GRAVY they mistakenly put Honey BBQ Suace in the bag. Very disappointed. Yes, I called and esclated my concern, because i felt the drive thru window worker was rushed and not taking her time to ensure the order was correct. Please, be sure your workers are taking their time and making sure they are focus on providing correct orders. Also, doesnt hurt to have drive thru workers that smile and have have a friendly disposition. I shall get over this... They have really good prices and their breakfast is actually pretty good. I always get scrambled eggs and the sausage + pancake platter. So delish and more than enough food for one person. I discovered Whataburger in Houston and this place is literally my favorite burger stop. Their burgers are just beyond amazing. Now, let's talk about the employees at this certain Whataburger chain. They are absolute morons, and I am not even saying that to be mean, they really are. I cannot emphasis HOW MUCH. Every time I go to the drive-thru I order the same thing, Monterey Melt with fries and a water. Simple. I don't ever have a problem with my orders. But than my significant other orders a Triple Meat Whataburger NO ketchup, NO mayonnaise, NO mustard. And they NEVER fail to ask "So? You want i dry?" "If that means no ketchup, mayo or mustard than YES, I would like it dry." And of course when we pull forward get our meals and drive home to eat the burger is literally just 2 buns and 3 patties. No lettuce, no tomatoes no nothing BUT of course the burger is soaked in condiments. This has happened more times than I can count. I mean, it's just ridiculous. To the Whataburger employees; are you guys really that incompetent?! It's a simple order! Not rocket science!! To the manager at this location , please be more mindful of the people you hire to operate this chain. It's not that hard to follow orders and give the CUSTOMERS what they went there for. read more

One of the best Whataburgers I've been too. Which is a shame since I live in Dallas. I'm headed home from New Orleans and decided to stop here for a good double meat whataburger. The staff was very friendly, the burger is cooked very well(as in quality and quantity) the fries are very fresh AND they accidentally gave me an extra order of fries. When I told them, they said I could keep it. Which is great because I always finish my fries and want more! My local Texas Whataburgers are great too but they could all learn something from this location. Keep it up Baton Rouge Whataburger! read more

A coworker and I came for lunch one Thursday. The lady who took our order was really friendly... It was almost surreal. She gave us an order number to put on our table, and within 10 minutes (probably less than 5, but I wasn't timing so I'm being conservative) another crew member brought us our food. Not only did she bring us our food, but she asked if we wanted any ketchup or other condiments (she had a tray full of them). She even offered the spicy ketchup because she liked it. My Whataburger was amazing! It was unlike any other fast food burger I've ever had. I agree with another reviewer though- there was a bit too much mustard. The fries, though! OMG the fries were outstanding. I never thought I would find a French fry better than McDonald's, but I did on Thursday! Holy cow. They were hot and crispy with the right amount of salt. Coupled with that spicy ketchup... Perfect! All in all, it was a visit I won't soon forget. I'll think twice before stopping at McDonald's or Burger King from now on and make the drive to Whataburger. read more

The manager, Rebecca, was quick to make it right when the kitchen staff accidentally bumped our order off and we never received it. When we went up 20 minutes later to ask for a refund so we could leave and visit another establishment, she genuinely apologized, gave us our money back and STILL MADE OUR FOOD! If you want a fast burger for cheap this is the place to go but beware!! If you don't like mustard be sure to tell them. Most places won't just put a bunch of mustard on your burger but they do and I have just learned to say no mustard. Other than that it's pretty yummy. read more

Pretty good tasting for a fast food joint. They are rather slow, but that's ok, since the burgers are decent. The only negative to me is that the sodas are always watery, every single time, so I opt for tea.
