I love this place. I first started going when I went to Texas. I drove up to this place, and went to the drive through. Just imagine, the parking lot had a few cars and not one car in the drive through! I WAITED 15 MINUTES, waiting to order. NOBODY took my order, I went inside and waited just as long. The employees were goofing off in the back. I have no problem with that but if they are not doing their job and make me wait, then I have a problem. At this point, people were starting to line up. What a frustrating experience! How many people left because the employees were in the back, doing who knows what, instead of doing what they are paid to do! Customer service needs major changes for a start. The wait was absolutely ridiculous in a drive through setting. Waited 15 minutes for an employee to come out and ask, what did you order again? I'm so happy this place is open late because I was so hungry craving some chicken strips! The strips were perfectly cooked, the toast is one of the best parts, soft but a nice crunch too. You get to pick one sauce to dip the strips in, the honey BBQ is my favorite. Its enough food to fill you up. Highly recommend trying the strips! I'm a fan of Whataburger's food so far but I'm not a fan of the inconsistency between dining inside and the drive thru. When my wife and dined inside a week ago for dinner the service was pretty awesome, we had multiple employees check to see how things were and even giving us a sample of the new banana shake. My wife is a big fan of the Dr. Pepper shake. This location just opened a few weeks ago and is nearer to our house than the other location. Great experience! This morning I went to grab breakfast and it was a MUCH different experience in the drive thru. The order taker seemed like they were struggling to get our order in, and we were informed they no longer have the Dr Pepper shake, it's been replaced with a white raspberry shake.... After being open for only a few weeks they have apparently decided not to offer it any more. When your wife has a sore throat and was looking forward to her favorite cold drink, that's not what you want to hear. My suggestion is not to go to the drive thru unless you have to. Next time I go for breakfast, I will try dining in to compare again. What I will say is that inconsistent service seems to be a problem everywhere right now, but it hurts the brand for newer customers to have an amazing 5 star experience followed by a bad 2 star experience. Food is still good which is why they got three stars instead of 2, but service is king and didn't meet our expectations. The other minor but frustrating part of the experience was that their app and website doesn't have an easy way for you to see what is on the menu without starting an online order, a feature which isn't available at either Colorado Springs location. Just went to Wataburger off Dublin. I ordered two items off menu shake and a side. When I ordered I spoke to two individuals before order was taken. I was the only person in the drive thru. After order I pulled forward to pickup and pay. I wasn't greeted by anyone at the window for 17 min I finally left without my order. This place is an absolute disaster from the lazy people I could see standing around in side no working not even to acknowledge they were working on order. The place was dead at 1100am in the morning I should have figured it out that this Wataburger sucks because there were no customers. This Wataburger needs to be shut down by corporate. I would have thought the location opened last week based on the pristine parking lot, good service and the impeccably clean dining space. We were that impressed. PRO-TIP: The large combo is a challenge even for a big guy like me -it is from Texas, after all. Small would have done just fine - at least on the fries. We don't get a chance to get Whataburger except maybe once every couple of years, so it was a treat for us. I grew up around them and introduced my wife a few years back. Wifey loves their patty melt and this one did not disappoint. I tried their chili cheeseburger and love that they had fritos on it and offered it with mustard. I wouldn't order it again. Ever since trying whataburger in the southwest, I have been waiting for there to be a location I can go to. I live in Virginia and so my only hope was that they would pop up in the springs where my fam lives. Lo and behold, here they are. The location is super clean and bright. I went at a random time during they day so it wasn't busy. The service was excellent and the food was just as good as I remember. I got the patty melt, fries and the holy grail: jalapeño ranch to dip it all in. The patty melt was fresh and juicy and was perfection dipped in the ranch. I only take one star off because their fries are not in the top of fries I've had, but they do the job and again with the jalapeño ranch on them-delicious. Great service, everyone there is so polite. It seems like a rarity for people to be polite, patient, and kind these days, but these employees just know how to keep customers coming back. Best location in my opinion, the other one on Interquest is always so packed and the people you find there are the literal worst crowds. This location is great, employees are great, and the food is always fresh. Highly recommend. I don't know how they only have three stars (at the time of this post) but give them a couple months to work the kinks out, they just opened so of course there's going to be hiccups here and there. First time to the new Dublin Blvd location. First time in 7+ years having one of their burgers. We used the drive thru. Word of advice use the inside lane. For every one car that used the outside lane 4-5 cars were helped in the inside lane. The outside had to have the food brought outside by a runner. It's the last straw: I've gotten the wrong burger, a soggy burger, a cold burger, a burger smashed as though sat upon, and a pile of burger ingredients wrapped in paper. We come here every time we come to the Springs, we wish you would come up north to Denver though. This is 100 times better than In n out, in fact we went there once and have never been back, I would just as soon eat McDonald's (gross) than go back there.
