You keep saying you've tried every one of these in Houston and know the menu better than anyone. You know what I say? What-a-bragger. In a low-rent area this is a Whataburger to satisfy the needs of the masses. It's right next to the mall at Gulfgate and has your typical stuff. The old Green Chile Burger that was a temp special was amazing, but it's long gone. Employees are not friendly and I don't think their products are so great either, but if you want a Texan burger and want something that's not as good as McDonald's but better than Shake Shack and Five Guys, then I guess you should give them a try. read more

This place is great. I don't know why it has low reviews. My parents and I went for a late bite and hung out for a while. It was very clean, the employees were attentive, polite, and incredibly accommodating. My fries (a hit or miss at some locations) were hot and my cheeseburger was awesome. The drive thru was LONG at 11:30pm on a Thursday. I had someone random man approach my vehicle but nobody else's in line. So far the ordering process was not fun and not a fast process... the food was good like always and the staff was friendly and wearing masks and gloves! I really wish I chose a different location tonight, the girl that took my order sounded distracted and asked me 3 times if I wanted cheese and I said no cheese and only mayo so I get my order and I get home and realize that my burger has A LOT of pickles, CHEESE and mustard. The food was good. Hot fries and good burgers BUT the manager Javier was an absolute jerk. He was extremely rude and began arguing with my husband and I while he was walking across the restaurant, yelling at us. Saying he didn't give a crap that we were upset about an overcharge (I asked for a burger with bbq sauce instead of mustard and he charged for me for extra bbq sauce. Extra?? There was no extra! It was a replacement. I told him no other whataburger had ever charged me for that and he ignored me). I was in total shock about his behavior!!! I'm not sure if there has been a change in management or cooking staff for their breakfast, but what once was a nice place to pick up breakfast has become "ugh". Same problem as last time - the egg in my toquito was clearly some that had been sitting around for a while (hard and crusty). There was also sausage buried in the cheese when I ordered a bacon. I guess the staff didn't want to waste another wrap after they realized their screw-up, but now I won't be coming here again. It's a shame since their toquitos were very fresh for the 3+ years I had been stopping here. It's also a shame since every other Whataburger seems to rock for breakfast! Customer service poor. Restaurant was clean and very well lighten. They forgot about my order and once asked for it they took an extra 10 mins, but it doesn't stop there all fries were 1/2" to 1", none larger than that. When finally the food arrived I asked for ketchup and there we go again an extra 5 mins. There were no sweet tea so once again I asked for it and was told that they were making it and another 10 mins on waiting time. This was my first time going to this Whataburger. I purchased a burger onion rings and small milkshake and went back to work. The meal cost $10 and was colder than the milkshake.
