First time at a Whatburger and after hearing mixed reviews, I was skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised. This isn't a great area. And we came at night, so it was a little dicey, but we were able to order in the drive thru and leave with no issues. The employees were friendly. The shake machine was down which was a bummer. We ordered the Patty melt meal with onion rings and a Hot Honey Crisp Chicken Sandwich with a Peach Refresher. My husband and I both really liked what we ordered. The limited time hot honey crisp chicken sandwich was seriously soooooo good. Probably the best fast food chicken sandwich I have ever had. The peach refresher was really tasty too. I went through the drive-in and my cashier was Kendraivous. I ordered a number one Whataburger meal add mayo, medium fries 16 ounce vanilla shake as I'm driving. I'm in the galleria. I'll take a bite of the burger and there's no lettuce. Lettuce makes the burger. I took time to call back the person on the other end of the phone says "what's the big deal it's just lettuce". At that point, I asked to speak to the manager he said his name was Mike. He said I need to turn around and come back to the store and bring the burger for an exchange. I told him I was in the Galleria by then and it was too far to turn around. He says well if you want anything done about it you'd have to come back to the store with the burger I guess with that type of customer service you can give out bad food and not expected to be returned. read more

Whataburger is typically a decent fast food option for me at almost any other location of theirs in Texas. However, this one is painfully slow to prepare orders and on the few occasions I've stopped by there's been a consistent theme of confusion on the part of the employees and those waiting for their orders. The drive thru isn't an improvement. In the end, the food itself is probably on par with what I've gotten at other locations. However, I likely won't return to this location. You can drive a few minutes further and have a much better and quicker experience. read more

I wish I could review the food here, but I never even got to order. I pulled into the drive-through at 10:02 PM and was about the fifth or sixth car back in line to order. When I finally got up to the mic, I waited and waited said hello and eventually the second time I said hello somebody asked me to wait longer. 10 minutes after that and still nobody had taken my order and now the line of cars was almost out of the parking lot behind me. Maybe they have enough staff during the day but they clearly don't work well short staffed or at a busy time of night. This location needs more training on how to work efficiently. read more

Worst whataburger location ever. Whenever you get your meal they give you one spicy and one regular Ketchup. This is dumb. If I like regular I don't want spicy and vise versa. I've only been through the drive thru here so once again that was my experience tonight. After you order food you pay at one window, drive up and receive your food at the second window. Both women working the drive thru had attitudes, were unpleasant and looked and acted like they were annoyed being there. I continued to try to be pleasant with them thinking maybe they were having a bad night. After receiving my food I drive off and go home. I mean, if I can't go inside because I'm sick or in my pajamas or whatever, I literally give myself twenty minutes to sit in line just waiting to order. There was one time I got stuck in this drive thru for almost FORTY MINUTES. I think it had to do with a difficult customer, but still. I couldn't get out, either, since I was sandwiched between poles and other cars. The solution is just to go inside. I do that whenever I can. They're super friendly and even have table service. We opted to go into the lobby and eat inside. Many of the reviews for this location are about a negative drive through experience; our dine-in lunch was very positive, though. Staff was very friendly and attentive; interior was clean and well maintained; our food was delivered to us promptly and cordially; restrooms were also in good condition.
