Very good and clean place. Food was good, filling and freshly made. Paid $7.57 for a combo meal. Staff was very nice.

    Angelo'z - Whole Muffuletta Sandwich

Been on my radar for awhile. I wanted a poboy but going to New Orleans wasn't economically sound…read more With the generally positive reviews, I decided to stop at Angelo'z after a dentist appointment. The inside definitely has a Cajun feel to it with the decor; very Louisiana. I was greeted and made the 4th quarter decision to get a muffuleta, chips and a canned pop. My order came quickly and I was on my way. The sandwich itself was BIG. Loved the olive salad. The cuts of meat were quality. Prices are reasonable Loved it. Worth the visit if you can.

So when I decided to give Angelo Z's a try, I came in hopeful but ready to judge with the precision of a seasoned shrimp connoisseur. First, I'll give credit where it's due: the place is designed beautifully. Clean, inviting, well thought-out décor. The staff? Top-notch. Friendly smiles, fast service -- the kind of welcome that makes you want to pull up a chair and stay awhile. But then my shrimp po'boy arrived. And that's where things took a turn. The bread was toasted -- yes, toasted -- which, for a Louisiana po'boy, is already a red flag. To make matters worse, it wasn't even the traditional French bread that's light, airy inside, and has that delicate crackle on the crust. Instead, it was a dense, over-toasted loaf that crunched like I was chewing on a roofing shingle. Then came the real deal-breaker: I bit in and realized the shrimp hadn't been deveined. At all. And for anyone who knows seafood, that black line running down the back isn't some "seasoning" -- it's grit and waste. One glance at that and my appetite clocked out. I understand I'm not in Louisiana anymore, and I'm all for creative spins on classics, but there's a line between "putting your own twist" on something and missing the fundamentals altogether. Unfortunately, this missed the mark in a way I couldn't overlook. Beautiful space. Wonderful people. But for me? A shrimp po'boy that isn't deveined, on the wrong bread, and toasted into oblivion isn't a po'boy worth coming back for.

It's been YEARS since I've visited a Jollibee, and it seems both the individual locations and the brand as a whole have made a lot of upgrades and changes for the better! The kiosk ordering system is a nice convenience, and (specific to the Houston restaurant) the establishment has been renovated for a more modern & minimalist look. Also worth mentioning: The restaurant was clean, and the crew was organized and efficient. Go, H-Town! Now, the food: I don't dislike the spaghetti, but it's still not my cup of tea... I still can't wrap my head or my tastebuds around the sweet & sugary sauce, and the addition of fatty hot dogs just don't do it for me. The adobo rice is overrated, in my option... a lot of garlic and salt, but missing the essence of adobo. I'll also pass on the biscuit next time (dry and didn't have much going on). However, I totally get why the fried chicken has become so viral! Super crispy, but not greasy. Great flavor & seasoning without being obnoxiously salty (think Popeye's cousin who went to college). And, thanks to TikTok, I enjoyed a chicken skin taco (skin stuffed with rice and drown it in brown gravy). Yummmmm! ChickenJoy is definitely where it's at.

Bucket of chicken, white rice, gravy - I am satisfied. Crispy, hot, fresh. Spicy is better than regular. Dip that chicken in the gravy ... soo good! Now Service - it's a fast food joint, don't expect much. Ambiance - while the restaurant is clean, we ran into a situation where there was someone (who definitely wasn't a customer) who kept asking patrons for food/money. There was nothing the employees could do, they said. 5* for food. Ding two stars for ambiance unfortunately.

Piada Italian Street Food is a win every time I come to this location…read more I ordered the Carbonara Pasta with extra sauce, customized with penne instead of noodles and extra roasted red peppers, and it was fire. The sauce was rich and creamy, the penne held the flavor really well, and the roasted red peppers added that extra layer of sweetness and balance that made every bite amazing. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Staff was attentive and made sure everything came out exactly how I ordered it. Love how they engaged with all the customers making orders. The ambience was clean, modern, and relaxed, making it a great spot whether you're dining in or grabbing food to go. Overall, great food, smooth service, and a comfortable vibe. They give you 1 scoop of protein which isn't a lot - I think Chipotle gives more BUT the salads/pasta are a pretty large portion. For the price, you can get far better quality/quantity elsewhere. On average, the workers are not super friendly but not rude. The place is on the smaller end but it is clean. This is probably more of a "grab-and-go" place than a sit-down. I probably would find another place to eat in the area but it's a decent choice if you want quick Italian.
