When Whataburger is done right it's a great product. Unfortunately this restaurant doesn't know how to make a burger, or how to do good customer service. Had a large order for a work lunch and the fries were cold, the burgers tasteless at best. Most of food went in bin, was really disappointing. Living near Lakeway makes having a night life nearly impossible, especially when it comes to eating. Whataburger gets 2 stars for being one of the few late night options. Upon arrival the employees failed to acknowledge we were ready to order, even after making eye contact multiple times. When we did receive our food it was unfortunately cold. The restrooms were dirty as well as the eating environment. I enjoy Whataburger but this location is not up to par in comparison to other locations. read more

Very rude staff. Doing a favor order for a customer, they changed their drinks last minute. Of course paying for the difference, the manager than had an attitude and said slick remarks. Way to be professional, if you choose to work in fast food industry-understand things like this will happen frequently. Add on they didn't any Sodas or C02. He said "this is a lot of wasted coffee". Made it to the drive through at 10.58am to get 2 breakfast burgers. Everything all out away. Wait. WHAT? I though they stopped serving breakfast at 11? Why cant you guys just give customers what they want? What about the breakfast burger is put away? The egg? How hard is it to serve breakfast longer? If I had to approximate, I've probably been to the 620 Whataburger more than 6 times in the last year. What's kept me coming back is not the quality of food or service, rather it's convenience to my house. That being said, I recall 4/6 experiences where my $9.73 meal took at least 20 minutes to prepare. This type of consistency is unacceptable. However, I do acknowledge 2/6 experiences where the service was efficient. Topping out at 33.3% your efficiency yield is worse than Shaq at the free throw line but I digress. The root of my frustration begins with management. I'm certainly not one to throw stones with any intent to get anyone fired, but I simply ask for a mere evaluation of employee competence. This location is absolutely horrid. I have NEVER been treated so poorly and aggressively in my life as I was at this location today by Adrian. I made three separate orders in the drive through. When we picked up our food we only received two bags. When I walked into the restaurant to verify that our orders were correct and try to get the re-bagged as three separate, I was told by Adrian that was "the way the kitchen bags them" Rude, rude, rude. In my haste to repack my three orders into two bags some fries got away from me, and Adrian told me I need to stop making a mess and threatened to call the police on me. How in the world, does me trying to get three orders placed in three bags turn into the Whataburger employee yelling at me about making a mess and threatening to call the police? Never again will I eat at this location. If these guys can't get get their customer service in order, they should just close the doors rather than continue to tarnish, the largely fantastic reputation that Whataburger has cultivated over the years. read more

Christy, the night manager, was super cool. She had her staff working like a well oiled machine. The tall guy working the inside cash register was very nice and offered to give me his hat (which he couldn't sell to me). The food is fast food but I believe the quality of the "fast food" is exceptional. You get what you pay for it just seems to me that Whataburger does it better then the rest. The sweetness of the bun and the chopped onions not diced so fine it is hard to tell it is onion or the chopped lettuce not lettuce strings make the burger more like I would make at home for a cookout in the back yard. Everytime I drive through I am praying that my hamburger is going to be hot. I love Whataburger it's my favorite franchises. I have been to some good ones and some bad ones. I have to place this one somewhere in the middle. I don't know what happens between the time they cook the patty and dress the hamburger but something's wrong. When I get a hot one I'm really excited but that's usually not the case. End up having to go home and stick it in the microwave and that's not good. read more

Pulled to window to pay. Person at window was nice enough, but had a filthy, spattered shirt, and black junk under her nails. Watched three male employees go outside to empty trash while I waited 10 minutes for grilled chicken. All had filthy shirts! I could tell from 10-15 feet away. When my chicken was delivered to my car, the employee was perfectly nice, but was also walking around with a dirty shirt. That's at least 5 greasy, brownish-orange shirts. My food was cold. We wanted to like this place, but it was such a disappointment. The burgers were decent but the place was dirty. We were the only people there at 4:30 on a Friday, and yet almost every table was dirty. It just felt gross. My husband witnessed an employee exit the bathroom without washing his hands, but we had already ordered at that point. This is the second time we have came here. My daughter gets the free junior whataburger for completing her reading list. They seem to be really confused here. I kept trying to explain to them that the coupon was for a free junior whataburger no purchase required, but they did not understand that. We waited close to 20 minutes in line. I've been eating at Whataburger for 35 years. Ate my last one today. This location(as stated by every one that has posted) has always been slow, and maybe 1 out of ten times the order is 100% correct. Today's visit was a whole different story. Tried the drive thru and the person taking orders couldnt even get the most basic right(10 minutes gone). I cancelled the order and went inside. Ordered a very simple order that they got wrong two different ways. Asked for a manager and what looked like a teen came up. Uniform was wrinkled and greasy and his hair looked like he used all the fry grease in it. With his mouth hanging open he stated "what do you need". I asked for a corparate complaint number and this greasy child stated "its on the receipt". Piss poor service, food, and appearance. Will never go to this location again.. Shame. read more

This is by far the worst Whataburger I've ever been too. First experience consisted of an 18 minute wait in the drive through just to get home and have the wrong order. Second time today was once again the longest drive through wait I've ever had, AT 2:30 IN THE AFTERNOON. Not sure what's going on in there but it's not "fast" food. i am shocked about how horrible my service was. I went up to the counter wanting to order JUST FRIES and it took over 5 minutes for someone to take my order. And every worker saw me waiting but did not do anything about it. So i finally ordered... and it took a full 20 minutes for them to bring out my medium fries. After fighting with them to just bring out my food. i went up to the cashier and was like "Hi i have been waiting for a while for my fries and they arnt out yet" and she just leans on the counter all comfortable and uncaringly says "Oh i don't know haha what you order haha i don't know ask someone" and doesn't care to help me. so i tried to talk to someone in the back, and they are all just leaning on the Fryers just hanging out watching me try to talk to them just to get my fries and they laugh at me. They would not serve me. I literally had to step inside the kitchen trying to just get my food!!! This was a great burger joint. Good hospitality and great food. The burger I got was very filling and good. They listened to my wants and they delivered. Good fries and good size drink choice. This was our first, and our LAST, visit to Whataburger! This place was dirty, as was the person at the cash register, who appeared to be the manager. It appeared as if it had been weeks since her shirt had been washed. There were no napkins to be had, except as offered by the server when they delivered our meal. Service was snail-slow and when we got our order it was COLD! If you do away with the phoney 'at your table service' of offering napkins and ketchup, the place would run more quickly and smoothly.
