Seems more often than not, fast food places hand me a sloppy mess and/or there's mistakes in my order. Service at most Whataburger locations tends to be slower than other fast food chains, but today they reached an unprecedented level of sluggishness. We were the only car in the drive-thru, yet it still took nearly 30 minutes to get our food. When the order finally came out, they handed me a free cookie as an apology. I appreciated the gesture, but it didn't make up for the time wasted. "Fast food" feels like a misleading label at Whataburger these days. Whataburger, please do better! read more

Why 3 stars? Because it's typical fast food. --- --- --- Moving to Texas meant that I was legally required to eat at a Whataburger within 90 days or I'd be evicted. I got my mandatory visit out of the way quickly because I didn't want to risk it. I grew up in the Houston area and viewed Whataburger just as another fast food restaurant. But after living away for 15 years, I heard countless people talk about how amazing it is and that it's the In-N-Out of Texas. My memory was different, but I'd heard from enough people to doubt myself. So while we my wife and I were out running errands, we opted to swing by and grab a couple burgers for dinner. The result? Yep, it's just the most average fast food ever. I would have given 2-stars here, but I'm going with 3 because I feel like it's more fair to compare it to other fast food places, rather than *all* restaurants. Do I ever need to eat here again? Let me tell y'all a little somethang. This is WHAT A BURGER. It's juicy, tantalizing, and hits the right spot for a breakfast burger as you can obviously see pictures below (or above)! I got jalapeños, bacon (already included but extra duh), and GUAC (o'moleè). This was made with spectacular service. Great people work at WHATABURGER or I would say otherwise. Lastly, ambiance in the drive thru matches colors with Home Depot (they are both orange-agent orange nah). I will not return to this loc after my latest experience. Tonight my husband and I ordered a Sweet and spicy bacon burger combo, and a 3 piece whatachicken meal. sweet and spicy bacon burger had no sweet and spicy sauce and the burger was very dry and bland. The whatachicken meal was way worse. The toast was burnt, there were not full chicken strips instead they were nuggets, and the chicken was dry. Upon eating the meal my husband found an entire FINGERNAIL in his food. It was unappetizing and disgusting. The drive thru worker at this location tonight was very rude and not personal at all. She shut the window in our faces after saying "goodnight" before we even got to ask for sauce or tell her to enjoy her night. read more

Avoid this Whataburger unless you want to get hepatitis or cholera; I think you get that from filth. I'm guessing the manager of must not have a sense of smell, but she needs to ask around - "hey do you any of you guys smell anything like poop that was cooked with onions and extruded from a yack's backside in the hot Texas sun?" I am a shameless addict of the breakfast taquitos here - specifically the potato and egg with no cheese and added jalapenos. This is the only location I have frequented that makes the taquito like a burrito and none of the components fall out onto your clothes or lap! I've even called the managers to express my happiness with this! Burgers are fresh and made to order - like any of the locations anything you want or don't {within their menu} on a burger they do. Fries aren't always fresh but I can understand why this happens...it sucks but hey... Have only been drive thru at this location so I have nothing I can say about the inside. read more

Wait until they figure out how to actually make their food. Sat for over an hour and barely got past the drive thru speaker. Takes anywhere from 10-45 minutes per car. my first whataburger experience. the boy raved about it and hyped it up. Being from CA, I've been spoiled with In n Out so I expected something along those lines. Mehhh... this was plain and wasn't any better than a visit to Burger King. Nothing special. The only thing I adore about this place/chain is saying it's name "Whataburger!" Location of this place was convenient and close to where we were staying. Great food and great service! However they do frequently get the order wrong. They are always more that willing to fix the issue though.

Drive through line was the only thing open and only 7 cars deep we where in line for over 40 minutes till we got to the ordering box. Being that it was past midnight and they would not let me inside to use their restroom, we finally had to leave with only 2 cars left till the window. Even if I had not had to use the restroom, it is un called for to have to wait in a drive thru line for over 30 minute when they do not have a lobby to tend to. Apple and cranberry salad with Honey Mustard Pepper Vinegarette dressing, uuummm uuummm good! Drive thru was expedient, cashier was familiar with the menu selections which is always a plus, and very helpful especially during busy lunch hours. I love the original chicken strips on my salads instead of the breaded, that they normally replace for calories intake, and they actually got it right. My order for coworkers and I was big, and it was prepared and ready within a few seconds upon my arrival to window.
