Just walked out from this location. The employees were not very friendly. The food was not much better. The sandwich bread was hard with very little tuna. My mother heard one of the employees cursing. I was shocked and extremely disappointed to hear an employee making fun of someone that just called to ask about an employment opportunity. They made fun of the person's stutter when they hung up the phone and had a laugh with the other employees. I cannot imagine wanting to apply somewhere and having them completely disrespect me before I even work there. Came in around 5 today to order a sandwich for my family's dinner. I didn't notice until after I ordered, but one of the men behind the counter wasn't wearing a mask. That callous young, white, maskless man started to make my sandwich. Somehow it doesn't seem appropriate to encounter a maskless food service worker given the pandemic going on and the mask mandate by the TX governor. If for health reasons you can't wear a mask, probably shouldn't be visibly handling or making customer's food. Literally do not care if the CDC says covid isn't transmitted by food, there is nothing feel good about walking into a stuffy small store where employees aren't wearing masks. I didn't feel comfortable speaking up about my issue because we were alone in the store with my toddler. The vibes I was getting in the store were not good! Worst customer service EVER! They never follow the directions on web orders. Forget about them cutting anything in half. And when my sandwich that didn't say Mayo in the description had Mayo on it (slathered everywhere) and I'm allergic to Mayo, they refused to remake it. The "manager" said it would cost them too much. I'm still scratching my head over how slapping a few pieces of meat on a sandwich I already paid $12 for would put their profit margin anywhere in the red. If your profit margin is that tight you need to rethink your business. The college students who work here couldn't care less about service and are always have an attitude that they are too cool to help you or take your order. Ordered three sandwiches this evening from Jimmy John's on 1488. Ordered them online like I have many times in the past. Picked them up and took them home. We unwrapped them and got ready to eat and the bread was rock hard. Had to peel the hard bread off the bottom in order to be able to eat them. I reached out to the store to let them know we were not happy with our sandwiches and I was told there's really nothing we can do because if we remake your sandwiches it'll be the same hard bread. Wow....was most surprised to hear the owner/manager yelling at the staff while we were there. First, we were in line deciding what to order. The cashier was talking to me. The phone rang...and the owner (who was sitting in a booth) snapped his fingers repeatedly and yelled at the girl to get the phone. He then went on a tirade to the other employees about them ignoring the obvious. Um, how about your cashier was interacting with a customer IN the store??!?!? As we were eating, one employee was very diligent about going outside and cleaning the windows. The store was slow....maybe 3 customers came in while we were there. The owner once again YELLED at the employee and told him to come inside. Crazy. Sandwiches were ok. I thought it was like Subway/Potbelly where you told the sandwich makers what you want. it's not...you have to tell them at the counter. Ended up with a very bland sandwich. Standards and customer service have changed dramatically since we lost the previous owner, the previous owner made the store knew who I was and treated me like a friend, now that he's gone standards are low and customer service sucks they never smile and can care less about the customer, today I went there and the guy who helped me at the cash register touched his fingers all over the screen and without washing his hands touched the bread that goes into the oven right after, and when I Told the others working there they didn't care and did nothing and made excuses for his action, Sandwiches are amazing, the only thing keeping A customer. I love Jimmy John's as a whole, however, this particular location went above and beyond during a time where we had inclement weather in Houston. My daughter, her best friend, and I went out in the snow to find every food place closed except Jimmy John's. Upon arriving inside the store the staff was extremely kind and polite. They took our order and in the process of doing that the power went out. Not only did they still continue to take care of us, but they made our sandwiches in the dark which was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks, and because of the way we were treated we will definitely be back! read more

I put in a to go order on Tuesday, October 5 at 1:30 in the afternoon. The gentleman working took my order over the phone that was paid with a credit card. My infant started to incessantly cry in the car and I asked if they have curbside or can bring it out to the car. He said no. I hoped my infant would stop crying but she did not. I called back and asked if he would come out to the car as a courtesy so I would not have to bring in my screaming infant. He said no again, gave no reason or anything. I called back a third time asking for a refund. He said OK and hung up right away. I called back to see if there is a confirmation or when to expect my money in my account and he would not pick up my phone call. My husband had to call on my behalf and get confirmation on this refund. I understand if you cannot go above and beyond for a customer with a genuine request but don't be rude and hang up on the customer when I have a right to get confirmation information on a transaction. I wasn't rude to the man at all. I will never be coming back here and unfortunately for this establishment, negative word-of-mouth travels quickly. read more

Yum. Want a load of meat? Get the Gargantuan. Something spicy add hot peppers. My personal favorite is the Italian Night Club but I've tried several and haven't had a bad sandwich. My only complaint is if you want double meat you have to pay per meat. The pickles are zesty, the chips have good crunch, and the cookies are delicious. This place was my pregnancy craving. The first time they took 35 min the second time they took 25. The driver had to come back 3 times because they forgot to give him my receipt and they forgot some of my side items.
