Is it just me or has the service standards for Whataburger gone to pot since a majority stake was sold to BDT Capital? This is review 1 of 2, as I will visit a different Whataburger on tomorrow and compare the results. The last two times I've visited this location the interaction at the drive-thru has gone somewhat like this 1) greeting from employee with upsale offer, 2) I order and drive to window, 3) cashier tells me price, 4) I provide debit card for payment, 5) cashier collects payment and says "here" as he shoves the card back to me. I don't generally review fast food restaurants, but the service the lack of courtesy at this location even made the burger and fries taste less appealing. read more

They have a consistent problem with the flavor of their fries and onion rings. They either fry everything in the same batch of oil or use old oil. Step it up, people. read more

HUND Scheisse! 2 big stars because the staff is always friendly,the place is always clean, nice landscape, multiple flavored ketchups are offered with a smile, and the staff is so funny because they always try to make me laugh. Like they always act like they don't know what's going on, but I know they're just messing around, because some say they're college students and I once heard that college students are really smart. And the burgers aren't too bad as long as you don't look directly at them when you open them out of the wrapper. Oh, and don't make the mistake like I did by opening up the burger to check the nicely arranged fixen's. If so and it's too late, try to distract yourself by looking around the dining room while taking a bite. Oh, and if you request to toast it, like they attempted mine, just quickly wash it down with some fruit punch and you're good. Hey, if anything else, they give you an opportunity every time to fill out a survey for a free burger(attempt). Just be sure to wash down every bite with a fruit punch while looking around the dining room. I ordered a breakfast platter with 2 sausage paddies and 2 tequitos, got home to find out it had only an ice cold half of egg and only 1 sausage and the tequitoes were under filled and COLD to! I work at Chick-Fil-A, so I have some high standards for fast food. Most Whataburgers don't really make the cut in my book, but this Whataburger is definitely up there on my list. I went today and I had my food in less than 5 minutes after ordering, and I felt like the staff actually cared about getting my food out quickly and making sure the order was accurate. Nope! Placed a curbside order during lunch rush and waited about 20 minutes then I called in for a manager asking, "Where's my order, I've been waiting patiently for 20 minutes?" I could hear it in her voice, "What order?" Then she said, it would be out in 10 minutes. That turned out to be another 20 minutes by the time I got the food. Someone wearing a brown shirt brought out the food and said, " Sorry, the manager will probably refund your money for this long delay." It's maybe a 10 minute one way drive w/traffic. From 12:15pm to 1pm I waited for cold food. I was not going back for a replacement! I called the 1-800 number to complain and the person on the other could care less about my call. Then told me, "Whataburger does NOT issue refunds on its service?" I replied back saying, "This is what the person told me who brought out the food!" If you don't give out refunds on poor service, how about on your food? I wasn't satisfied w/his service, then I emailed them. I haven't heard back from anyone to date. Too many restaurants in the area to put up w/poor service & food! If you're gonna call yourself "fast food, then Whataburger isn't living up to its brand! read more

Other Whataburgers nearby serve hot food that is much warmer even with longer drives. Please stop making the burgers in advance and stacking them in the warmer. read more

roughly year old location at the corner of FM 2978@ The Woodlands Parkway Exceptionally clean very well run store. I've never had any problems going in for breakfast or early lunch. Everything is made to order which is why I've taken to going into the dining room. The drive thru can get congested and it's just a horrible waste of gas and addition of air pollution. When the managers are there everything runs like clockwork and they have no qualms about manning the registers or drive thru or cooking stations. This morning the manager running the front registers forgot my orange juices and when I had to remind him he brought me two large bottles rather than the smalls I'd ordered and paid for! Plus he apologised a lot! Like anything when you go chain quality will suffer and they used to be so much better in the 70's and 80's but compared to the MEGA chains this is still the best hands down! read more

I went through the drive thru and ordered 2 items off the menu. I paid, got my drinks and they told me to move forward and that they will bring me my food. All the cars that were behind me and beside me that ordered after me, got their food before we did. 20 minutes after paying and they came and asked if we were missing something. Usually get somewhat "ok" service. Tonight I waited 20 minutes in the drive-thru and forgot something so I parked to run inside (so I wouldn't wait another 20) ended up waiting 37 minutes inside for the order...ridiculous...I get that Saturday nights are usually busy but 37 minutes is slow for even regular sit down restaurants. Definitely going to make sure I take the extra 15 minute drive next time to the one on FM 1488. read more

What'a joke is more like it!!! Wife and I are visiting kids and grand children. We were told Whataburger was great.. NOT paid $26.00 for for two meals and a grilled cheese for grand child. We went inside so we wouldn't have to wait in the super long drive thru line. We didn't have to wait to place our order only a couple people inside waiting on orders. Cashier was nice but kept having conversation with different people as she was taking our order (first a employee and/or a manager to let her know she could leave and another worker came up just as we were finishing up paying for our food and he was like we made it thru the day and hugged her--maybe they had a bad day????) I also bought some gift cards while I was there for Easter even though they only had Christmas gift cards there. How the employees acted while we were at first was like they were hanging out and like there wasn't any customers inside (I get the manager or other employee letting them know it's time to go or it's ok to go but the other employee coming up and saying several times we may it thru the day I'm not sure how but we did it and hugging her) someone else walked on and she took their order to but another employee said something else to her and she said yes and that she needed to clock out but someone yelled from the back letting her know that they clocked her out already---it was bizarre but it all should have been a sign for us but it was too late because we placed our order already. We have been at this location several times and NEVER had a problem granted most of them has been though the drive thru. We can look past how they acted because most of them are teenagers and I get it I have children/teenagers. But the worst thing was it took just over 30 MINUTES to get our food order and I believe we would have waited even longer then that if I didn't ask about it after the first 20 minutes went by. When I asked about our food the guy took my slip to go find my ticket slip from the machine in back and came up and said very quietly that he is working on it now. I only saw a couple of guys in the back working and 1 at the drive thru so I'm not sure if a manager was working or not I never saw the person that spoke to the cashier about leaving but why would they not have enough employees to handle the orders they were getting or if they did have them there then why did it take soooo long? My husband said it's a good thing you were here otherwise he would have just left and said forget it. So I thought you should know because I would want to know. This is tough review to write because I used to brag to my out-of-state friends how great Whataburger is...or was. This particular restaurant does not represent the Whataburger I remember. I moved back to Texas about 6 months ago after being away for years, and was excited to be within shouting distance of a Whataburger. Sadly, this store has let me down every time I've been in -- hoping that my last experience was a fluke, but the failures repeat themselves with the same issues. Service is always great, but can't say the same about the food quality. Time and again, the burger is luke warm at best, and the buns are smashed. The whole burger is dense, flat and almost cold. Other Whataburger stores may meet the standard I fondly remember, but someone from corporate needs to take a look at this one. read more

I love whataburger but again don't to this location if you're in a hurry. I work close by and I'm lucky if I get a minute to eat something. I came here a few saturdays ago to grab a bite before work. I was here at 11:15am. I ordered a number one with no onions and I kid you not it took 15 minutes for my meal to be served. I had to inhale my food, and you don't really get to enjoy your meal when you have to rush. I didn't have to be at work until 11:45 that only left me 15 minutes to get to work. So I will stick to going to Sonics, its faster its just as good read more
