I love Whataburger. It's probably one of my favorites. My most favorite being In n Out. Normally I only get to enjoy Whataburger when we're up in Tallahassee or out west. Whataburger has amazing fancy ketchup that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup in it. It tastes like the ketchup we grew up with eating at McDonald's. It's amazing with fries. They also are known for their fried apple pies. We were so excited to hear we were getting a Whataburger. Our first try the parking lot was a nightmare so we gave up and tried again yesterday. I don't know what possessed them to open a Whataburger on such a small slip of land. It is squeezed between a McDonald's and Regions Bank. The Regions Bank shares the parking lot and it's a mess both with traffic and litter. I know things will quiet down and hopefully they start to clean the parking lot. This isn't my favorite part of town. We literally are never over there and will only go to have Whataburger. The fries were pipping hot and delicious. The burger was great, not the best. The coke was a little off. The apple pies were amazing as usual. We'll be back, but I hope things get a little better. read more

FINALLY!!! The time has come that we have a Whataburger in Orlando! I remember trying this burger joint out in Texas and Jacksonville and I've been begging for one here near me ever since! The burgers and fries are delicious but the wait time right now since they just opened is about an hour long through the drive through. It'll probably be a shorter wait time later into the night. They ran out of Whatasauce when I went but hopefully they have it stocked up for next visit. The best thing about that is they are open 24/7! Had to get in on the new burger in town craze. We went through the drive thru and did not wait long (maybe 20 minutes from start to finish). I ordered a Whataburger which comes with mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and diced onions. I felt that the mustard alone didn't feel like enough sauce. I really liked that the diced onions were larger chunks, added to the flavor. The burger itself seemed larger in size than other burgers, but was flat so wasn't as filling on the inside of the burger. We also ordered fries, which were good and reminiscent of McDonalds fries. Whataburger in Florida? Yes, it's been a thing for a while in Jacksonville... but now it's in Orlando! True fans would have driving the 2 hours for it... just sayin' I happened to be coming home from an appointment around 10a on a weekday, so I decided to stop. I get that they have to set it up for the crowds, but sheesh, to take away the parking spots and entry. It was hard to figure out where to go with all the cones and signs. This location is 24 hours, which is nice for late night or early morning burger cravings. It's new as of August 2026 so it's a bit crazy. By the time I left around 10:30 or so, it was filling up fast. Oh, and kudos to the security guy who was also opening the door for people. I appreciate you! The burger was pretty good, although for some reason they put ALL the bacon on one side. And there seemed to be a lot of mustard on it, and I'm not talking about a Randy Johnson fastball (RIP Bird). It wasn't super busy so I feel they were rushing things a bit instead of building a proper burger. It's a big burger too, which is the point of the name of the store. The fries were also good... nice and hot and crispy. I didn't have to ask for fresh fries which is becoming a recurring theme at other clown and royalty and redhead based chains. Staff is supper nice even though they are working like crazy. The burgers are great in taste and love the fries. I tried the wrangler burger and it was very good the spicy BBQ sauce was very nice and tasty with a slight kick. Fries were fresh and the drinks huge! We went back and tried the chicken version of the burger and it was almost better and the peach and cream shake is delicious. Will definitely be back! Texas has amazing BBQ, but I don't get the hype of Whataburger. Their burgers are fine. Good size for the price. The real star is the condiment selection - I love the Spicy Ketchup (complimentary) and Jalapeño ranch ($.50) makes the burger. Which gives me pause, when you need condiments to enjoy the burger, the ingredients and quality of the patty and bun, a little onion, tomatoes and lettuce can't standalone. Shakes are made with syrups and average at best. What stood out most to me (beyond the condiments) was how courteous the staff is at this new Colonial location. The place was so clean you could smell the cleaning product they use (in a good way!). It was very busy and bathrooms still so clean - way to go!! Before the haters say I'm not giving this new place a chance, I've been to Whataburger in Houston, Jacksonville (2x), and my experience of the food is consistent. Better than McDonald's and maybe other fast food chains? Sure. A memorable burger at Portillo's down the road and BurgerFi better? IMO, 100% read more

Came the day after grand opening and now understand the hype. This place is delicious and I'm glad we got have a taste of the Texas staple. The service is great, the look of the place is clean and very retro. The bathrooms were clean but let's move onto the food. I ordered a sweet and spicy bacon burger that was delicious. I loved how I can taste all of the flavors, it is a messy burger but it's Delicious. I do feel the bacon could've been crispier but other than that it was good. The fries are also great and doesn't compare to any fry I've ever tried. Their apple pie was really hot but good and the hot honey chicken sandwich was good but not as good as the burger. This was my second time going to this Whataburger location parking is very tight here with all the cones around the parking lot. The drive thru line was packed, but at least I was able to find a parking spot. I went inside and it was a long line, but it moved quickly. So I ordered the original Whataburger, small fries, and I got the apple pie for free this time. The last time they forgot the apple pie from my order so I got it in the house. I paid $9.85 for my total order the burger and the apple pie was delicious. The floor was very slippery so I took my order to go. read more

We really wanted to love the new Whataburger in Orlando. My first experience was in Texas in the mid-2010s, and I loved it. Then, during a family road trip in 2020, we enjoyed the Jacksonville location so much that we went three times! Needless to say, we had high expectations when we heard there was finally one in Orlando. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The drive-thru took about 45 minutes, which I understand given how new and popular the location is. But the burger itself just wasn't what we remembered. It seemed thrown together, the flavor was just okay, and honestly, I thought a Whopper tasted better. Now some will say maybe it's just me, but my entire family and I felt the same exact way, we all loved Whataburger in the past and felt greatly disappointed with this visit. This was my first time there with my son and son-in-law. The buns are big the patties tasty and the french fries were really good. All in all it was a good meal for the price. So this was my first time ordering at whataburger and honestly I wasn't impressed, for starters the gentlemen taking our order with the iPad was more focused on just pushing us through the line after ordering the first item on the order. Listening skills are highly recommended when it comes to people in restaurants/fast food settings cause the boy wasn't listening to the order. Example I ordered the number 5 which is the bacon and cheese burger, he clearly didn't know what the number 5 or any number meal was despite the fact the menu was right behind him and the fact he was also holding the tablet. Now on my burger I said no pickles, and no tomato, no lettuce. Well I'm not sure what burger the staff gave me besides a meat patty with grilled onions and mustard and small very small piece of cheese. Like where is the bacon? Also while ordering I requested onion rings for both meals, my wife got a Coke with her meal and I got a lemonade. Well the Coke was flat and the lemonade tasted like water with a hint of lemon. Change the carbonation and the syrup cartridges for Christ sake. Read the orders back to the customer for full understanding and accuracy of the customers order. Just no. Place recently opened to a lot of hype on East Colonial out near Waterford. I saw crazy lines for a week. Today was the day I tried it. Waited in drive thru about a half hour. Ordered a standard Whataburger with cheese and fries. No cheese on burger, thats a bad start. Then everything from that point on was just a disappointment. This is 100% just another fast food chain, nothing more. I wouldn't call it horrible but it certainly wasn't good. If you like Subway or hot dogs from 7-11 then it's probably right up your alley. We paid extra for cheese and only one got it .And asked for no lettuce , and they put lettuce, And ask for extra onions and pickles , and it was hardly anything on there. sad to say that since I just moved from Texas after living there for the past 20 something years, this Whataburger does not meet the typical standards. When I got in line at drive-through, I was greeted by some very rude staff who apparently put down the incorrect order for my entire meal. When I received my drinks, one of the sizes was incorrect, and the other was the wrong thing completely. I told the staff not to worry about it because I honestly just wanted my two meals. Sad to say that I did not check my food prior to leaving and when I arrived home, I realized that both of my meals were incorrect in multiple ways. It was very busy since they had recently opened this new restaurant for the first time in 17 years in central Florida and there was a lot of excitement from Whataburger fans. That said, the food came out fast and it was hot and fresh. The burgers are big and better than most fast food burgers. The fries were identical to McDonald's fries and just as good. The restaurant was the typical modern style set up with the self service drink machine. It was a bit loud. The prices are better than most other fast food places for the amount of food that you get. my third visit to this location, have enjoyed the burgers at other locations in north Florida over the years.First visit fine I prefer a cheeseburger with just lettuce, tomato, onions and ketchup.... My second visit the burger was delivered wrong as if the cashier just ignored my request, disappointed I ate the burger as was in a hurry. This last visit I requested my burger as I prefer it, after restating my order several (at least 3 times) the cashier kept trying to add mustard and pickles... I repeated my order once again and a "manager" stepped in to take my order, not any better .... as I repeated the order once again,,, he said that their system does not work like that... I know this not to be true since I have received my preferred order once before at this location and several times at other locations.
