Last Friday at 9:18pm I placed an order inside for a burger, a burger combo, and wings. There was no line at the counter and no one waiting for orders inside. The employee, Greyson, working the register was at the front and took my order immediately. In total, I waited 28 minutes for my food. There were a few cars in the drive-thru, and I saw a total of 2 or 3 online orders come out, but absolutely nothing regarding my order or extreme waits. At 9:46pm I went back to the counter to ask about my order, the employee immediately walked around the corner and then handed it to me. I asked if it had been sitting there the entire time, and he said that they were waiting on fries. Do fries take that long? I didn't even mind the wait, the kitchen seemed overworked and understaffed, but any sort of communication would have been nice. My food was correct, but half an hour just isn't acceptable for fast food. read more

This is a typical fast food restaurant which means it is utilitarian with no ambiance. It was clean and the various offerings are fairly priced. The food was good. I guess this was an off day at the restaurant - Sunday after church because the service was super slow and there was no ice in the ice machine. Three combos and a children's chicken strip meal took almost 40 minutes to be delivered. Additionally, I am a bit spoiled by earlier visits where a person came around with a little tray of condiments. Look at it this way, you get to have a nice long visit with your party. we stopped here for breakfast on the way to FL from dallas. we had the worst customer service ever--we walked in to an empty restaurant and no one was at the counter--it took them over 5 minutes to even address us and then another 5 to take our order. Stay away from!!! Absolutely the worst drive-thru service I have ever experienced. The manager inside didn't handle the situation much better by defending the employee by saying she probably didn't mean it. The food here is fast food so you know what you are going to receive going in. I will say, they have rarely gotten the food I've ordered wrong, same for my friends since we often go in a group together. Very nice that they stay open 24/7. It's great for those late night snack moments. The service is alright, I would say again, rarely have I received bad service while there. The employees work hard and give good service most of the time. So on that front they're doing great. My only complaints are the cleanliness of the store and the general atmosphere. Showed up Sunday at 6:30 to a few cars in the parking lot and employees staring out the window. Tried to get something to eat for my wife and was not able to open the door after multiple tries the lady standing 3 feet away from the door looked at me and shook her head. Trying to figure out what's going on since it's so early and no signs posted or indication of why they wouldn't serve. The lady tells me they shut down because of "weather". I would understand this if it was first thing. They are here already and clearly waiting out the time. Sad to see this behavior from employees. I would not recommend this location. Working a late shift, decided I would stop here for a quick bite to eat. While ordering my food, I saw several other customers waiting on their orders. They were clearly frustrated and not happy...told me they had been waiting a long time. I started to leave but it was 1am and Ruston has very few other options for food and I was hungry. Girl at the register was very nice to me but she seemed frustrated as well. She told another customer at the counter that she couldn't find his order and went back-and-forth to the kitchen several times trying to figure out what the deal was. Got my meal before the other people (who were waiting before me) got theirs and sat down to eat. Dining room was not the cleanest, but I found a table, that was fairly clean. My cheeseburger didn't resemble the kind of Whataburger I am used to. If you want a real Whataburger, you'll have to keep driving east to Monroe. Fast food, restaurants in Ruston are not what they used to be; so sad. You can find better but may have to go to another town. read more

I am thankful there is a drive thru option with no lobby access at this time but I do feel that this location probably needs to add something more to the process with it already being a busy location right off of the highway +no lobby access due to COVID. Has really gone down since it first opened. Service is slower. They used to have 2 drive thru lanes which helped, but they got rid of the 2nd one. Everything is now at one window. Wait time has increased. I was the only customer inside one morning and had to wait a good 5 minutes before they realized I was even there. And it took another 10 to get my food because they had 2 people working the breakfast shift. My biggest question is why they charge for cheese. It costs $0.50 a slice. So a burger combo goes up a dollar if you want cheese on it. Meaning you'll pay $9 for the #2 combo at regular size. read more
