This is another place we will be heading to when we make visits to relatives on this side of town. We had been going to the one farther north but that will no longer happen. First time to this area of San Antonio. We walked into a very busy lobby but the staff was very friendly and took our order fast. A manager came to greet us (party of3) and thank us for stopping in. She then handed us coupons for free breakfast tacos because the wait "may be longer than expected." The wait was not long at all and talk to you later food was perfect! read more

I love Whataburger but I'm not sure I still do . I have never had an issue till I visited this location. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. I took a first bite and it felt like I was chewing on rocks. Immediately threw it away. How can they expect customers to eat this. I wish I would have gone else where. I have been a customer of whatABurger since its opening in Alice, Texas in the 1950's when I was still in High School. Very good service, and now the service is still above reproach at the southeast location on southeast Military dr. location. We have always been treated like we were in a fine dining location as the treatment we have always received have been above average for a fast food business. It is always very crowded but yet the service has always been excellent, and the employees always keep their cool, despite the stress of such a busy location. Keep up the good work. Your employees are not mind readers and we,the customers need to specify how they want their order, example: Meat medium rare or well done. This location is agonizingly slow. Don't bother placing an order online. You will absolutely be sitting there for 30-45 minutes past your pick up time. It's been like this forever, I would recommend taking the drive to Rigsby if you don't have at least an hour to burn. read more

This is the slowest "fast food" restaurant I've Been to. Waited over 20 minutes for our food while employees goofed around and their orders were prepped before ours despite odrering 10 minutes later. This was our first and last experience. There appears to be no order to the way in which the fill the orders and no apparent management. The food was average but the wait was inexcusable. read more

Worst Whataburger I've been to. Yesterday I sat in the drive through lane for nearly 20 min. When I finally arrived at the window to pay and receive my food, my order wasnt there. What she offered, was to put my order in "ahead" of the other cars in line. I was ahead of the cars in line, waited just like everyone else and what she offered me wasnt going to make up for losing my order. She refused to tell me how long my order would take and bu this time I was not only hungry but irritated, This isnt a review of only one isolated incident, this whataburger is always slow and unorganized. Previous other incidents here include, waiting for food for nearly 10 minute, every single visit, drive through or dinning rom, ordered wrong and rude employees and management. I will typically travel further to avoid this location and now that this latest incident happened, I wont be back at all. They have my favorite hamburger there and it happens to be the avocado bacon burger. Served on toast with a special creamy sauce complemented by lettuce and tomatoes this sandwich is terrific. Customer Service is some times a lost art in this world and in fast food even more, but that is not the case at this Whataburger. I came in for a quick lunch with my family. My wife has a black pepper allergy and before the staff could say sorry we can't prepare anything for you... General Manager Nick came to the rescue. He knew of a grill that was clean and unused in the back. Relayed to his staff to fire it up and make sure my wife was able to eat with us. Nick was awesome and so considerate of our issue. I have a passion for burgers. Whataburger is the place for me to release all the stress that I have. Unfortunately at this location, I always get the worst service. The first time, I waited about 25 minutes for my food. It wasn't busy, they forgot about my order.. Like how? The second time, I was dinning in with a friend. So far so good. I got my food on time which was great! But when I asked for spicy ketchup, the employee gave me an ugly look, said no, and punked me out. What a way to ruin my night buddy. The third time, I asked for double meat with cheese and no onion. When I got my food, there was no cheese, and onions were everywhere. Come on man I paid extra for the damn cheese. What is there not to like about Whataburger? Open 24 hours, burgers beat the hell out of anything Booger King, Mc Crapper, Carl's Puker has to offer. I'm not big on fries so I like being able to sub for onion rings instead. bad service at this location. i found hair in my burger. i had ordered a #5 and when i came back to get my money back they gave me $6.23 when i paid $9.54 without the drink since they didnt have any drinks available only dr. pepper cans. then the manager came out with the rest of the money and called my wife a stupid bitch. read more
